Graceful Ruby

I had the base card and pp matting of this card ready for a couple of weeks now but was never happy with any of the images or finishing I put with it. This is no exception but I wanted to put it to bed so to speak.
This is probably my absolute favourite Christmas paper EVER that I've been hanging onto for as long as possible as it has been discontinued :-( I got it years ago at S for Stamps...they even bought a whole pack in just for me I loved it that much! I think it's the colours...the shades of green are beautiful and the red berries so rich. Like I said, I had the base card punched and ready and maybe it's just as well I waited because I used one of my new Nestabilities I bought at CW at the weekend and it matches perfectly :-D
I've said before I find red a hard colour to match so Graceful Ruby's coat and hat have a slightly orangey tinge...hmph
But she is super duper pretty so I hope I'll turn a blind eye lol. I hope you like it even though it's not my favourite.

Yesterday was a busy one. I've got some fantastic new Nikki's coming and another design from a new illustrator that I think you'll love! Nikki's got a surprise for you and I'm so excited I can't stand it!!! The images were coming in fast and furious and I was tweaking like a mad woman. I am desperate to get them done for you and fingers crossed you'll be seeing some samples next week and also be able to pre-order them for the end of September early October. I'll keep you posted :-D

On to a slightly more serious matter, I got a call from my mom last night. My dad's sister is seriously ill in hospital here in Glasgow so my dad is arriving tomorrow for a couple of weeks. I don't know how much time I'll get for blogging but I'll try and make an appearance when I can.

I've still lots of tweaking to do so I'd better get my skates on. Hope you have a great day :-D

Catch ya later x

Your card is lovely. That paper is so pretty and Ruby looks lovely on it. Also love that new nestie you picked up. They have so many pretty new ones out, I think I need to go nestie shopping!

I hope your Aunty is ok Kerry - I'm sure you have a beautiful card to give her to cheer her up.

I love your card - think your red actually "lifts" the card a bit - does that make sense?!!

Don't worry about us - we will miss you but understand if you neglect us for a while - just make it a short while! ;)
