Last....

but not least!!! All I can say is I'm glad I'm the boss cuz I can get away with murder lol!!!! Apologies to all my fabulicious Ladybugs for being late today. Not sure how it happened...I WAS on schedule to have my project ready yesterday but it all went pear shape :-( I do have a project in reserve but when I looked at it I realized I'd used an image not yet released hmph! I might use it next week and have a little mini competition to win the image...

Thank you to everyone who entered Sally's In The Office/Stationery Challenge ... it proved to be well, challenging lol. We didn't have as many entries as we usually do BUT I was so happy when 1/3 of the entries used an LCI image woot woot!!!! So a BIG thank you to all of you LCI image lovers and make sure you check out the Challenge blog to see if you've won a prize :-D

Today's challenge is brought to you by Lovely Ladybug Diane which is perfect for this time of year...Snowflakes. To make it a bit more challenging for the Ladybugs I gave each of them a clear box to use. I bought these a few years ago for the website and came across them recently. They are funtastic and can be used for many things and the Ladybugs have been busy creating lots of inspiration for you. It wasn't all smooth sailing...one Ladybug had a strop ( 1 1/2 actually) and one was so engrossed in making her project she forgot to check what the challenge was so there's no snowflake to be found but all is forgiven because the end result is stunnalicious as is Ladybug Strop's!!!

The boxes come in 5 sizes so I'm sure there's one to suit your needs:

4 1/8" x 4 1/16" x 1" - 45p each
5 5/8" x 5 1/2" x 1" - 60p each
4 7/8" x 6 5/8" x 1" - 60p each
6 1/8" x 6 1/16" x 1" - 70p each
4 1/2" x 5 7/8" x 1" -  60p each

This is what they look like before they've been pimped!

And this is what mine looks like after...

I've used the 6 1/8" x 6 1/16" box which was the perfect size for the hankies I bought at Poundland! I found some 12 x 12 Craftwork Card cs I've had for yonks in pink and lilac with glittered snowflakes/flowers. I cut the pink at 3" deep and the lilac at 2 1/2" then tore one edge to look like snow and wrapped them around the box (I used one strip of 12" for each color then another 6" of each for ends to meet). I stamped snowflakes directly onto the acetate box AFTER I'd finished lol so I had to figure out how to stamp without taking everything apart. I removed the hankies and put 4 paper pads inside to give me a solid surface to stamp on :-D

I printed Let It Snow Delight, colored (do you like my pink and lilac striped scarf and hat?) with with my Copics then cut it out. I added Fluffy Stuff to the hats, Glamour Dust to the earmuffs and scarf and Judykins glitter to the snowballs and snow BEFORE I adhered it to the box. I learned from past experience to do this as it's VERY difficult to remove glitter from acetate :-S

In hindsight I think I should have used white trees but I'd already stuck the trees down when I realized. I added pale pink and amethyst 2mm & 3mm Swarovski crystals to the trees for a bit of bling.

I added a handle by punching a hole in the sides of the box with my long neglected whatchamacallit (I'm looking at it but can't remember it's name... big hole punch...pink handles??) and the ends of the handle and fixed it in place with giant brads I made with my other long neglected whatchamacallit... i-top tool! Does anyone have one of those? I'm sure Ladybug Laurie has one somewhere lol.

Look...isn't it fabulicious!!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Anything But A Card - A Stitch In Time:use any time or stitching element (I've stitched)
Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes
Hooked on Crafts Challenges - Christmas (no red or green)
House of Gilli - Diecuts
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Totally Stampalicious - Non Traditional Christmas Colors
Whoopsi Daisy Challenge - Diecuts/punches

This would make fabuliciously inexpensive gift for a teacher.....box 70p, hankies £2 (I bought 2 packs but used only 5 of the 6 hankies) plus scraps of paper = £2.70! To see some other fabtastic ideas check out the other Ladybugs projects.

The sale is still on and we have sold out of a few stamps BUT they are now available as a digital download. These are Coffee Nikki, Dogwalker Nikki and Buttercup with Bird.

I think that's all for today. I'm off to finish a few more cards I abandoned and hopefully with have them to show you later this week.

Thanks for stopping by.

Lost and Found

I've been dipping in and out of making Christmas cards and have a stash of them now....is 10 considered a stash?? Well it's more than I've ever had made by this time of year so I'm well impressed with myself lol.

Snowman Delight are perfect for making quick cards as there is very little coloring needed so if you have a sketch in mind you can churn these babies out in no time. I've been using the same pp for the set...I've had it for years and think I bought it in Walmart when I went home for a visit.

Here's what I did with Snowballs 10 Cents....

I think he is fabulicous! Just a bit of coloring with my Copics and LOTS of Glamour Dust and he's done. I added a red button I've had in my stash for years (anyone see a pattern here??) with a bit of twine threaded through for his button and one for the snowflake center.

Gorgeous felt snowflake...

and one on the inside. Royal Mail is gonna love this one lol.

I'd like to enter the following challenges -

One Stop Craft Challenge - Anything Goes
One Stitch At A Time - Use a digi
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Did I ever tell you I lost the diamond from my engagement ring? The pictures a bit blurry but there's no mistaking the gaping hole where my gorgeous diamond used to be!

I think it was mid September and I was coming back from CB with the dogs when I glanced down at my hand on the gear shift (M Pee...our steering wheel is on the right so no I've not been drinking lol) and did a double take and felt totally sick. I turned straight around and heading back to CB. Like I was really going to find a diamond here....

I reported the loss to the police and insurance company the next day and looked for it every time I took Rocky and Ruby for a walk. Every time I saw something sparkle I was sure I'd found it but always turned out to be dew (yes I know the difference between a diamond and dew!) I checked my car, the carpark and the pockets of my jacket but nothing.

About a week later I went to the mall and reached in my pocket to get some change for a parking ticket and look what I found....

Holy moly...what are the chances???!!!!!!! It's now in the hands of Nicole (she works in Rox jewelers) and she's ordered a new setting which I should get in about 6 weeks :-D Have you ever lost anything and thought you'd never see it again? I'd love to hear your stories.

Hope you have a great weekend :-D

Blog Hop Midway Reminder

Howdy Doody Peeps...hope you had a great weekend and your week has started well :-D I got a bit of crafting done at the weekend...THREE cards!!! {patting myself on the back} That hasn't happened in a LONG time but I just said to myself "Kerry, you're a long time dead and the house won't collapse if it hasn't been tidied for a day or three so why not do something that makes you happy?" Who am I to argue with myself rofl!!!!

This is one of the THREE cards I made. I haven't put a sentiment on it yet...the jury's still out which one I want. It's a pretty simple card...nothing fancy...well apart from the spotty scarf on Snowman #3 ;-D

Enough waffling...have a look and see what you think....

I love love LOVE this Snowman Delight image...actually I love them all...very little coloring is required which makes them super quick. As always I've printed Let It Snow onto PTI cs and colored it in with my Copics. When I was looking in the garage for all my Sizzix dies to put in the sale (see page above) I spied some pads of paper I bought in Walmart when I was home years ago. There are about 5 or 6 pads in different sized squares and rectangles but with all the same pp which is pretty smart really because all you need to do is tear a piece off, mount it on some matching cs and voila...no cutting!!!

See that smudge of red beside the tall snowman's hat? (I'm pointing this out so you know that I know I boobed and won't be saying to yourself...look, Kerry made a boob lololololol) I put the glue on the wrong part and as quick as I could wiped it away with my finger. Thought I got away with it but obviously not lol.

Close up of the smudge ;-D

And a peek at the inside. I punched a border using a Martha Stewart punch...not sure what it's called but it is a row of pine branches.....VERY cute.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Fashionista Challenge - Anything Goes Christmas & Bloghop
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Stamp and Create - Anything Goes
Tammy's Scrapin Corner - Anything Goes

The hop is on for another week so why not join in? You could win the whole collection of Snowman delight or be one of 5 winning a Snowman Delight of your choice :-D

I've got a date with my craftroom today...I got another commission for a boxed  wedding card and I'd like to make another Christmas card or two.

Thanks for stopping by

TLT - Blog Hop & New Release!!!!

Morning all you Ladybug fans! Hope all is going well for you this week. We Ladybugs are very excited to share our new release with a bloghop. It's extra busy as we have not one but FOUR Guest Designers. Please give Jane, Gemma, Kathleen and former Ladybug Mary J a bit extra Ladybug Love when visiting them along the way. Grab a coffee cuz this is a long one lol!

Before I go into the bloghop details I want to thank everyone for entering our Paper Piecing challenge last week. Make sure you check the challenge blog to see if you're one of the winners :-D

Ok, before I implode with excitement lets get on the the hop. As usual there are a few boring but necessary rules which are as follows:

1. Leave a comment on each of the DT posts as you hop.
3. Leave a comment on the Challenge blog letting us know which image you like best
4. Display our badge in your side bar to spread the word. But don't worry if you don't have a blog and want to enter to win. Just email me at lcichallengeblog@aol.com saying you don't have a blog (as well as leaving a comment on the challenge blog)

There are 6 images in the Snowman Delight set and the winner of the hop will win ALL 6 and there will be 5 runners up winners of 1 image of their choice.

There is a theme to the hop which is a photo inspiration chosen by Lisa

christmas cupcakes

This is the first time I've done a photo inspiration challenge so I hope I got it right. I know I'll be told if I haven't lol.

Before I forget you should have arrived here from Sue and if you're all mixed up you can head back to the Challenge Blog to start at the beginning :-D

Here is my card...

I've used Happy Holidays Snowman Delight. Snowmen are my FAVOURITE Christmas image...I used to love building snowmen when I was younger :-D I printed Happy Holidays and coloured it in with my Copics. I've also used Echo Park Winter Park 1 digi pp. Notice my card isn't SQUARE!! I did a bit of stitching...ok I did a LOT of stitching lol. Don't know what I'll do when one of the Ladybug's chooses NO STITCHING for a challenge :-S

These images scream out for glitter and I did use a lot of Glamour Dust. It's a shame the pictures don't show how sparklicious it is.

Now I'm not sure why this picture is here...maybe to show how to colour OUTSIDE the lines lol or maybe it's the snowballs. I left it in anyway...hang on it could be the Jet Swarovski crystals I used for the snowman's buttons!!!! I get there in the end lol

I'll add a sentiment later

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Cupcake Challenges - In Stitches
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
Pile It On - Patterned Paper
Anything Goes Challenge Blog - Early Christmas

The Snowman Delight images are available from today and priced at £1.75 each :-D

So....do you like??? I LOVE and Jan has done another amazing job with her illustrations. I hope you enjoyed the hop and drew some inspiration from the DT and GD's work. I can't wait to see what the girls have come up with!

On a sad note I'm afraid Ladybug Pam is handing in her wings. This will be her last post for LCI which makes me VERY sad {sniff} as Pam is one of the original Ladybug's which doesn't leave very many of us left!!! Thank you Pam for EVERYTHING ... you have been magnifilicious and I wish you nothing but good things in the future.

Catch ya later {sniff} x
