At Ease-l Crafters!

LOL...did you see what I did there will my title?? That should give you a hint as to what this fortnight's challenge is all about but before I give you the details I want to thank you for your stunning entries to our WOW challenge...they were WOW in more ways than one. Make sure you check our Challenge Blog to see if you were a winner of a prize or Top 3.

We have a fabulicious challenge for you from our Kath - Easel cards! I think these scare a LOT of people including one of our Ladybugs and even I am a bit wary of them myself, mostly because they never turn out the way I have visualized them in my head!!

We've all used a Magnum and/or Magnum & Lily image some of which are available as digital images or cling stamps and are so fun and sassy....especially that Lily! I've used Cat Flu digital image and Lily as always has the upper hand with Magnum lol.

Have a look and see what you think...

I hadn't made an easel card in ages so did a bit of research online and came across this style but as I made this card WEEKS ago I can't find who I can give the credit to. When I find it I will link to her blog. Anywho, it was really easy to make which is the main thing! I printed and coloured Cat Flu with my Copics, cutting out the image with my MFT circle stitch dies. There is WOS on the kleenex box, head cooler thingamajig (brain freeze moment) and Lily's thermometer. I used a SU! button I've been hoarding and created the sentiment on the computer.

Here's a side view. Next time I might add a corresponding piece of pp down the middle but I quite like the kraft cs showing.

The Ladybugs have got some brilliant makes for you so please make sure you check out their blogs and leave them some love.

Don't forget we have a new release coming!!! Grab the banner below and spread the word

Now for Coen's Corner lol. Nicole is still struggling with going back to work. She misses Coen so much so Grandpa, Coen and I took the train into Glasgow on Saturday to surprise her and his daddy. Coen LOVES the train. We have a station less than a minutes walk from our house and it runs along our back yard. I'm sure Coen can hear it from the stop before ours because he gets super excited and starts talking gibberish lol. If he's in his walker he'll race to our patio doors to see it coming into the station.

This is Grandpa and Coen on the train...

Posing lol

Nic was over the moon to see her little guy and kissed the face off him lol. Afterwards we had lunch in Buzzy Wares in Princes Square...

On Sunday Nic, Coen and I went to Rouken Glen. Here he's wearing his new outfit Grandma and Grandpa bought him...

That's it from me for today. I've got a list a mile long of things to do for this week and I've only ticked a couple of things off. I hope you have a fabtastic Tuesday and look forward to seeing your Easel entries!!

Oops...It's Tuesday - WOW midway reminder

LOL...I don't know about you but when there's a long weekend I get all my days mixed up. I thought today was Monday!!

I hope you have recovered from your chocolate coma and are raring to go.

I've used the gorgeous Wild Flowers from the Floral Delight 3 collection... I {heart} this image. I wanted the image to be the main focal point and kept it more than simple! I printed Wild Flowers onto a large piece of white card stock, coloured it with my Copics, stamped the sentiment, rounded the bottom corners and stuck it to the front of the card blank with foam pads. I then added Glossy Accents to the ladybugs and glitter to the flowers.

I carried the Wild Flowers through to the inside without colour.

I haven't seen the wee man since Saturday night and I have missed him terribly but I can't be greedy lol. I got a call earlier today from Nic asking if I could look after Coen for a couple of hours while they gutted their place. Ummm....yes please!!!! I think they'll be here by 3:30 so I'm going to try and make a card before he comes. Just to remind you what he looks like (lol...as if you could forget with all the photos I post!)

He looks sooooo cute and loves my ladybug pillow!

Happy Tuesday and I hope you join in our WOW challenge this week.

Hoppy Easter!

Happy Easter! Thought I'd do a quick post and show you the card I made for Coen for Easter. It's been years since I made an Easter card and I sold all of my Easter stamps on Ebay so I had a look around Pinterest Land and found a fab card made by Crystal and thought it would be perfect for my little Easter bunny!

I changed a few things such as the black hole as I thought against my papers it look a bit harsh and added the ribbon and clouds. Also did a bit of stitching which I haven't done for months because my machine has been acting up. It wasn't an expensive machine to begin with and I figured it would cost more to fix it than it was worth so bought a new one in Ikea of all places. Went for picture frames and came out with a sewing machine lol. It was less than my original machine (£45), has more stitching options and works a treat :-D

I used Nestabilities instead of punches for the bunny. The main card blank and bunny bum, feet and clouds are SU! card stock which I LOVE and have been hoarding as I think it might be discontinued (if I'm wrong please let me know!). It's got a fleck through it and isn't white white iykwim.

You can see the fleck properly here. I LOVE the pom pom tail....so cute!

Coen has gone up North to spend Easter with his other grandparents. I had him yesterday and because we had ANOTHER lovely day I did a little photo shoot....

I put up chairs for barricades and let him scoot about in his walker...he loved it though I did keep a close eye on him just in case.

I think this picture is hilarious...It's almost like he's saying 'what am I supposed to do with this...you know I can't throw grandma' rofl

Ok...I said a short post and I meant it. I'm going to go and enjoy the rest of the weather or maybe I'll make a card...decisions decisions lol.

Enjoy your Easter and don't eat too many chocolate eggs!!!

WOW - Get your whites out it's a White on White challenge!

Happy Tuesday everyone. Hope you're all well and enjoying the sunshine. Yes, we have sunshine in Glasgow... I'm going to take a picture of it because it's supposed to be gone by tomorrow :-S

Thank you to everyone who entered our Birthday challenge...the entries were all stunning AND we had 5 entries using an LCI image which all the Ladybugs were thrilled with. We'd love to see more LCI images used in our new challenge starting today. Make sure you check out the Challenge Blog to see if you were one of the winners.

Our Lovely Ladybug Susan has chosen one of my favourite challenges...WOW or white on white. I think white on white cards are stunning and are perfect for any occasion so let's see what you can do!

We're all using a Floral Delight image from across the 3 collections... Floral Delight Floral Delight Too and Floral Delight 3 but you can use any image.

I've used House of Daisies from the Floral Delight 3 collection. I love this image and I really like how my card turned out though it was a bit of a process and I couldn't get a decent picture but you can let me know what you think...

Ryan has been lodging with his acting coach and they recently moved house which means he doesn't have to sleep on the couch any more lol. I thought I'd make them a card and House of Daisies was perfect. I cut a scalloped circle aperture from the card blank and embossed the front. I cut a frame using 2 dies...this was the process (I won't bore you with the details but QOB came to the rescue)...and glued it in place. The sold sign is made from Die-namics Mini Penant Dies. I printed the image on a piece of cs slightly smaller than the size of the card blank, coloured it with my Copics  and stitched it onto a mat before adhering it to the inside. I then added glitter, Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents

Tuesday wouldn't be the same without pictures of my favourite munchkin...

I had kept a big box of Duplo that my kids loved to play with. I washed some of it in the dishwasher and we had a Duplo play day. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, me or Coen lol.

We've started giving Coen more finger foods...I think we took the hint when he pursed his lips and refused to eat off the spoon lol.

I've got to take Ruby to the vet this morning so I better get going.

Thanks for stopping by

Birthday Midweek Reminder

Hi all...hope you've had a great day. I know I'm a bit late with my reminder (again) but it's still Tuesday right lol.

I treated myself to a fab die MFT a few weeks ago...it's the mini chicken wire and it's fabtastic! There are so many ways to use it but I decided to go for the easy option first ... placing some pp behind it. I think it turned out pretty darn cute iidssm (if I do say so myself) lol

This time I've used Cupcake Cutie Blowing Out The Candle which I've printed and coloured with my Copics. I paper pieced the wrapper, added Fluffy Stuff for frosting sprinkled with glitter before fluffing with my heat gun. I stamped the sentiment from my Paper Smooches Birthday Sampler sentiment set and stuck it to the card with foam pads before adding the button with my glue gun.

I added Glossy Accents to the flame then sprinkled it with glitter

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

2 Cute Ink Digi Stamps - Anything Goes
Crafty Bloggers Network - Die Cuts or Embossing
Paper Makeup Stamps - Anything Goes
Love To Scrap - Anything Goes
Shopping Our Stash - Paper Piecing
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes

One weekend a month Ben's mom is going to be looking after Coen (They live 3 hours away). Moira says it's to give me a break but I look at it as a chance for her to spend time with Coen. She came down for her shift this passed weekend arriving Wednesday night. I picked Moira and Coen up on Thursday and we went to Rouken Glen for lunch and a nice walk and that was the last time I saw him until yesterday!!! Boy oh boy did I miss him lol.

Coen & Moira

I took this picture on yesterday (Monday). I think if Coen could speak he would be saying....Grandma, I'm just too tired to smile lolololol

This is my favourite for a long while. I have a smoothie for breakfast which consists of spinach and banana and a combination of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, mango and pineapple. You don't need to gag...it's really yummy and you can see from the picture Coen loves it too. When I made it the last time he was here he watched me put it together, blend it then got really animated until I have him some lol.

That's it for now...I gotta get back to work. Been working on that project I might have mentioned the last time ;-D

Lyndsey's Challenge - Birthday

Hope you had a lovely weekend and the mother's in this neck of the woods had a fabtastic Mother's Day yesterday. Hubby's brother, wife and daughter were in St Andrews for a dinner dance at the Old Course and invited us all for lunch. I'd never been and it was lovely but it was FREEZING!! Afterwards we had afternoon tea which was no good to me as I've given up all cakes, cookies etc for Lent hmph!

Thank you to everyone who entered our For A Special Lady Challenge...we had an amazing amount of beautiful entries. Check out our Challenge blog to see if you were one of the winners

This fortnight we're using Cupcake Cuties digital images for Lyndsey's birthday challenge. I was feel extremely smug as I'd made my card last week. When I was writing up my post yesterday afternoon I thought I'd check the DT blog for any last minute changes and discovered I had used the wrong image!!!! I quickly had to throw this one together as I was going out with Sadie after dinner and knew I wouldn't have time to make a new card when I got back.

I've used Cherry on Top...

Maybe I should leave it to the last minute more often (oh yeah I usually do lol) cuz I really like how this turned out. After printing and colouring my Cupcake Cutie with Copics I cut it out with my MFT stitched circle dies (which I thought I'd thrown out but were where I put them all along even though I looked there half a dozen times!) I found some old Doodlebug pp and paper pieced the cupcake wrapper to match the background and after gluing it to the image made the fluffalicious frosting from Fluffy Stuff. Before I fluffed it with my  heat gun I sprinkled it with pink, gold and silver micro beads. The sentiment is from my new favourite sentiment stamp set from Paper Smooches. My new favourite embellishment of the moment are Doodlebug Sprinkles...the yummy enamel dots I've added for a little extra fun. I thought the sentiment was perfect for my stash as you all know I'm usually if not always late sending my cards lol.

You can really see the micro beads on the frosting here and the gorgeous Sprinkles. I've also added Glossy Accents to the cherry and WOS to her top, flower center and shoes.

I finished the inside to match the front.

Now for a Coen update .... these pictures and short video (19 seconds) are from St Andrews. As I said after lunch in the Jiggler pub we went into the hotel for afternoon tea. Hubby, Coen and I went first while the rest got their picture taken on the famous bridge on the 17th hole. We were greeted by a 7' bear and Coen absolutely loved him. Apparently he was the only child that didn't cry when he saw him lol.

I'm not sure who like the bear more...Grandpa or Coen lol

That's it from me for today. I'm working on some new stuff ... can't tell you what so don't bribe me with stash or nuffink cuz I ain't telling ;-D

Have a great week and I'll
