Day off

I had a day off from packing today. My hand and shoulder were really sore last night when I went to bed so I decided today I would do other things. First off was taking the dogs a walk then banking and the post office. Back home to tidy up then meet 2 friends for a bite of lunch at D'Lish (remember the 2 cappucino's, 2 latte's, 2 banana breads and a scone post??!!). It was really good to catch up as I hadn't seen Jackie and Linda for quite a while.

The rest of the day I spent looking at the stamps and packaging thinking I really need to get it done LOL but I'm going to get back into it tomorrow. Annette (of 2 cappucino's, 2 latte's, 2 banana breads and a scone post!!!) is coming over tomorrow to help and Elaine has offered her services for Saturday if there's anything left to do.

I haven't made any cards in ages and I'm having withdrawal symptoms. Once everything is packed I'll have more time and there will be no stopping me.

I'm off to do my ironing...hopefully I'll have more exciting things to say tomorrow!

Fairy Godmother Fee!!

What a day Fee and I had today!! Between the two of us we managed to make quite a dent in the packaging of Nikki. I cut and Fee scored, folded, matched stamp to acetate image, bagged and stapled....hmmmmm....reading over that it looks like I got off lightly LOL but I can assure you I didn't!! I'm sure I've got RSI in my right hand and I've got a knot in my right shoulder that would choke you! Oh, I forgot, Fee also arranged them in the boxes....look for yourself...
Didn't we do well?? And I'd already packaged 148 for an order!! I've still plenty to do but there's no way I could have done this on my own. Fee was fantastic so a big thank you to you Fee!! We did manage to have an apple and cinnamon scone to keep our strength up and when we felt it was starting to wain (sp?) we forced ourselves to have homemade chicken and potato soup with a fab doorstop of a tuna crunch sandwich (1/2 each) for lunch.
I've got to do some ironing and then make the beds...I know it's almost 10 pm but I've been busy LOL!!!

Are you still out there????

Apologies for my lack of posting....I don't know where the days are going. I really think there should be an extra 2 hours added to each day so I can get more done! I can't believe it's going to be October this week....someone has definately pressed the fast forward button.

I met up with Fee last week at Braehead. This was her enjoying her grande hot chocolate!!! It didn't take either of us long to scoff our drinks and cakes ; ) We'll have to do it again soon.

I had my workshop yesterday and it all went well though no matter how hard I try to make sure there's enough of everything I always end up short on something. We did the address book that I had posted earlier but I changed the image to Nikki on the phone and changed the paper. Unfortunately I never got to finish mine because this was the project I was short a few things. I'll finish it this week and post it for you.

This was the 2nd project we did. We did a gift bag using the base a few months ago but I came up with the idea of making a drawer instead of a handle and making a set of cards to put in the drawer. I loved this Crate Paper as soon as I saw it and bought the last 12 pieces when I was in Craftology the other week. Unfortunately I think it's discontinued as I scoured the internet for it and came up with zilch.
I actually changed the card a bit for the workshop. I traded the jute tie for brown ribbon and it's much nicer. I suppose I should actually show that one since I'm happier with it LOL. The girls seemed to like both the projects though when we were making the address part, one of the ladies (mentioning no names....Annette!!) got a bit hot under the collar and turned the air blue when she was gluing the letters to the acetate. I think the glue was getting the better of her but she ended up showing who was the boss by the time she finished LOL.

I have been working like a Trojan packaging the Nikki stamps. Unfortunately I didn't get much done for the workshop but Annette had been looking at the store on my blog and printed out the pages of stamps and brought them with her (no I didn't pay her LOL!!). I'm happy to say the girls seemed to really like them and a few were sold. So a big thank you girls!

It doesn't look like I've made a dent in packaging the stamps which makes me wonder how the heck I'm going to do this if Nikki really takes off!!! Fee has kindly agreed to help me with the packaging on Tuesday, forfeiting our Last Tuesday of the Month (LTOM from now on) projects till next month. We've also decided that we're only going to do one project as sometimes the time is tight to fit 2 in.

I didn't get much sleep last night thanks to the boys...that deserves it's own post lol...so I'm going to get the dogs out and get to my bed. I'll say goodnight...hope you've all had a good weekend and ....

Take a look at this baby...

So what do you think?? I went to the printer's today to pick up the packing cards for the Nikki stamps and decided I wanted business cards. Scott and I designed and printed this up in less than half an hour!!! I love love LOVE it!!! It's so much nicer in person and I can't wait to hand them out ; )
That's it for tonight. I'm packing everything for the workshop tomorrow and I'm always terrified I'm going to forget something!
Have a great weekend everyone.

I wanna be 10 again!!!!

If only so I can understand how to use a computer properly!! I have spent the last 2 hours trying to add 'add to cart' buttons and failed miserably so in the end decided I would put the Nikki's here http://ladybugcraftsink-store.blogspot.com/ as a post and if you wish to purchase any of the cling stamps email me at ladybugcraftsink@aol.com and I will contact you. I can then send you a Paypal invoice and do it that way until I can get my buttons on properly. If anyone knows how to do this and can give me idiot proof instructions I will be forever greatful : )

I just realized that I didn't explain the stamps are cling polymer and all that's needed is an acrylic block which makes storage easy peasy. When you first get your stamps gently rub them with a good quality eraser to remove any of the factory residue.

I'm still as high as a kite...more so that usual lol...and I'm looking forward to getting the packaging from the printer's on Friday. Scott at Print Central has been fantastic with his ideas and suggestions and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing any kind of printing.

My workroom is beckoning...I'm still in the middle of making the kits for Saturday's workshop. Also I ran out of pp for one of the projects and Fee is coming to my rescue tomorrow. We're meeting at Braehead for the 'handover' of the pp and because it would be rude not to, we're going to have a quick bite at Starbucks before we go our separate ways : )

Nikki is in da house!

To say I am squealing like a stuck pig would be the understatement of the year! I don't think the City Link delivery guy will be the same again lol. I all but hugged and kissed him when he came to the door with my box of Nikki stamps.

He did let me take a picture of him though and I'm sure he must think I'm a weirdo but it WAS a momentous occasion! I was that excited I didn't even get his name but I don't think he'll be too bothered do you LOL???

And here they all are!!!...OK this isn't a great picture and I'll never win any photography awards but once they're all packaged I'll be able to get a better picture.

I'm exhausted now with all the excitement...think I need a lie down lol.

Oops, I forgot these...

I realized this morning that I forgot to post pictures of some of the cards and notebooks I had made for the coffee morning. The cards were pretty simple and would have been quick had I not decided I needed to do some stitching on them! The notebooks should have been quick as well but for some reason I couldn't work out how many 12 x 12 sheets of paper I needed to get 42 pages for each book...even the calculator wasn't any help lol. I was having an extreme pre-senior moment that night ; )

You might recognize these from the black and white one I posted earlier. I thought it would be nice to add a bit of colour without colouring them so I did that with crystals and metal bits (can't think of the proper name lol) and added glitter for more bling.
Here are the notebooks...all 17 of them...phew! I realized when I was making the white ones with the black button that I didn't have enough of the paper to make 3 so hence the odd number. I think I prefer the ones with the buttons.
That's it for today...I'm off to Sadie's tonight instead of Thursday as she's going away for the weekend with her grandson. We might hit Costco to see what they've got to offer.

The time has come...

...to tell you my news though I don't think it was very hard to guess. And of course I'm not great at keeping secrets so there are one or three of you that I've told!

I've always wanted to have my own range of rubber stamps but didn't think it was possible because I can't draw to save myself. I told a new friend of my dream and she told me all I needed was an illustrator and pointed me in the right direction. I was introduced to a fantastic illustrator, Allan McConachie, and through him we came up with Nikki. I told him exactly what I wanted and didn't want. I wanted an image that wasn't similar to anything else on the market, who was likeable and was flexible (I don't mean back bends or anything lol). I didn't want stick arms and legs as there are enough images like that already. When I got his email with the first images I was so nervous, I was actually looking through my fingers when I opened the email lol. As soon as I saw her I loved her .... he got her on the first go with only minor tweaking (Allan might not agree it was minor but to me it was LOL). From the first 3 images I now have 20 which include 4 Christmas ones. I have posted 10 of them so far and will continue post more over the coming weeks. You may have noticed there's a shopping button at top of the page. Once I figure out how to put them on the blog with a Paypal button you can buy them but I'm not sure how long that will take. If anyone wishes to purchase them before then they can email me with their selection. The stamps will be arriving, so I'm told, this week and I hope I will have them packaged and ready to ship by the middle to end of next week!! I can't tell you how excited I am about this. And if this wasn't exciting enough I have secured my first order for a craft store in Canada!!!

So that's it...what do you think? I hope you will love Nikki as much as I do. Can you guess who I named her after?

Must get back to my workroom to finish off the projects for Saturday.

Lord of the Dance

I went to see Lord of the Dance this afternoon with my friend Pauline and her daughter Millie. It's the 2nd time I've seen it and I loved it both times. I think it's an amazing talent and I'm sure the dancer's fillings must be loose by the end of a performance! Their feet are a blur at times and I wonder how many steps/taps they make during each show? The two lead girls were beautiful, one blonde and one brunette and I was wondering how I could slip the blonde one Ryan's phone number LOL. Steven's already got a girlfriend so I'd be in a bit of trouble from Chloe if I gave one of them his!

I've got another busy week ahead. I'm going to the printer's tomorrow morning then it's home to start on the projects for Saturday's workshop. I'm really looking forward to it as it's always great fun and such a laugh. So far there are 7 of us including myself and I'm waiting for one reply so it's going to be quite riotous me thinks!

I'm expecting a delivery from Wednesday onwards and I'm just bursting with excitement about it. I'm going to reveal all tomorrow so I hope you'll check back then to read all about it.

The X Factor is coming on soon and I want to finish up my ironing while I watch it. Judging by the newspapers it's going to be a pretty good one. There's a few I really like...The school teacher who sang a Beatles song, Jamie Afro and Ollie so far. I missed the week where the Welsh schoolgirl sang so she could end up on my list and maybe one or two from tonight's show.

Hope you've all had a good weekend,

A great day all around

The coffee morning was a great success for Mandy....she raised over £1500 with more to come for MacMillan Cancer Support! We started off outside but in true Scottish tradition the weather took a turn for the worse and when the rain came on we all went inside. The weather couldn't dampen (sorry lol) everyone's spirit of the day and all the ladies seemed to have a great time. Mandy and her friends baked enough goodies to feed an army and I swear there must have been one there because there wasn't much left by the time I said my goodbyes! I sold 45 cards and 1 notepad so I was extremely happy and Mandy has asked me back for next year.

It's a mother's perogative to be proud of their children and I'm no exception. All my kids have turned out great despite having me as their mom lol. They are all very different with their own strengths and talents.

I think I mentioned in an earlier post that Ryan plays for Kilmarnock FC. He has had a disasterous 2 seasons with injuries...2 years ago he dislocated his shoulder for the umpteenth time and had to have keyhole surgery. He came back fighting fit ready for last years season only to re-dislocate that same shoulder in the first 20 minutes of the first game (both times I was at the games and now I have been banned for life!! ) but this time he had to have surgery where they cut him open which meant he was out of action till March of this year. He was winning his fight for fitness and playing in a game against Dundee where he clashed heads with one of his own players and needed 12 stitches through his eyebrow and to his eyelid! So fast forward to this season and today he started his first game in a long time and it was against Rangers. Now the last time he played against them was at the end of his first season with Kilmarnock and they were playing away. Nobody would have though Killie would have stood a chance but they won 2-1 and Ryan was man of the match! The players don't know if they're playing until they get to the ground and it wasn't until I got a text from my sil in Ireland while I was at my coffee morning, saying how delighted she was Ryan was playing! Cutting to the chase....he had a brilliant game and most important of all he left the field unscathed.

Thank you for allowing me to indulge in telling you this...after all his disappointments with injuries I hope this will be his season to shine.

I made a post earlier today but realized I posted it under the kits link instead of the blog link and now I can't delete it from my kits link or cut and paste it to my blog link!!! So I can either tell ya to click on the kits link and read it there or I can redo the whole thing here....hmmmm...I think for now I'll let you click on the kits link because it's late and I still have loads to do before tomorrow LOL!

It's a quick one today!

I've got a lot to do today ... the dogs are at DDC and the boys are out so I've got total peace and quiet to get some serious work done...no excuses!!

Here is one of the cards I've done for the BCR coffee morning on Saturday. It was pretty quick as there wasn't any colouring involved. I decided last night I was going to make more using different colours for the base card though I might just have to add a bit of colour to the image. Having no colour on this one works perfectly for a monochromatic look. The image is a download from Pink Petticoat and I used my new Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background. A bit of stitching and some glitter and there you have it!
Hope you all have a great day and I'll ...

Nikki Nikki Noo

Don't ask about the title cuz I haven't got a clue what it means!! Something in the dark recesses of my mind says there's something to it but knowing me I've made it up thinking it means something lol.

Right...before you all think I've lost it I'm gonna post my latest Nikki card : ) I really really REALLY love this one...I love her face, I love her hair, I just love love LOVE her. Ok, so maybe I have lost it LOL but there's just something about her. And what do you think of my embossed background? It's my newest Cuttlbug embossing template and I really really...well you know what I'm going to say..REALLY like it!! I coloured Nikki with my Primsa pencils, Sansador and stumps, the embossed card is SU! Chocolate Chip and the base cs is Bazzill. Of course there's a bit of glitter and some Glossy Accents on her glasses. I had the ribbon in my stash...you know my stash...my teeny weeny stash LOL.

I'll leave you with a closeup. I've still got a gazillion cards to make for Saturday's coffee morning. After I made the 24 bases it has been a bit more challenging trying to come up with something to put on them! I've manage most of them...in fact all of them...and I'll post a couple tomorrow.
Until then,

Sew what!

I have been sewing up a storm tonight...I can still hear the machine in my head! I don't seem to be able to make a card these days without putting some kind of stitching on it. I got a text today from a girl who has a coffee morning once a year at this time for breast cancer asking if I would sell my cards at it. She has a number of friends also selling handmade/crafted items and a portion of the profits go to Cancer Research. So you're probably wondering what this has to do with my sewing. Well my stock of cards is really low at the moment and her coffee morning is this Saturday...yikes...so I'm trying to get as many cards made between now and Friday along with all the other things that I do. I decided to to just the bases tonight and tomorrow I'll do the images. Believe it or not I've made 24 bases and I think I might do this in the future. I started at 8pm and fnished at 11...I'm very impressed with myself lol. I also want to make some little books and possibly...and I think I'm being a bit amitious here...make some of the gift boxes with the ribbon handle. I have a bit to do in the morning after dropping the dogs at DDC but I plan to be home by 12 and put my head down only coming up for fuel ie coffee!

I didn't manage to take a picture of my Nikki card today but this is a card I made for my friends MIL's 80th birthday....and I managed to match the colours with her living room without being told! It was a boxed card and my friends MIL loved it : )

The image is Stamping Bella, ribbon PTI and the pp My Mind's Eye - Bloom & Grow.

Blue skies

Something's wrong...It's sunny outside and it's the 3rd day in a row!!! Yee hawwwwwwww...summer's back. I think I'm going to take advantage of the sunshine and sit out for a while...I know it's not very productive but since I've been moaning about so much rain it would be rude not to!

Here's another card using PTI's Everyday Button Bits. When I first made it I had only put 3 buttons on...I didn't see the 2 smaller stalks...gotta get my eyes re-tested...so now it's in full bloom :) I've never made this style of card before, it's called a Joy Fold Card...not sure why...but it was fun to make and a bit different from the norm. I saw it on SCS. The paper is doubled sided and called Fancy Papers ... when I looked through my paper drawers I realized I had quite a few FP without realizing.

I also got to use my new SU! Circle of Friendship stamps...there are 8 greetings and I know I'll be using them a lot. Again the buttons are PTI and the cs Bazzill. The card opens from left to right and the sentiment circle is keeping the card closed. You don't have to do that but I think it's a nice touch.

My stomach is grumbling so I'm off to get my breakfast, shower, take the dogs their walk then enjoy the sunshine...hopefully it won't be gone by then LOL!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Family

I love love LOVE this photo of me, my sisters Shelly (left of me) and Tracey and my mom...The Judy. I have it as my desk top picture and I'd already shut down my blog and was about to turn my laptop off when I decided to open everything back up and post it. It was taken last December when I went home to surprise my mom for her 70th birthday (hard to believe know!). We took a trip down to the States and did a bit of retail therapy. Of course when we do this, no trip is complete unless we have lunch at PF Chang's. They make the best lettuce wraps...actually everything is just about perfect : )

This picture makes me happy and sad at the same time because these times are few and far between. I always go on about the weather and it being the worst part about living in Scotland but it isn't really...the worst is being apart from these amazing women in my life (and you too dad!) and not being able to spontaneously meet for a coffee or lunch. Sure we talk on the phone as much as we can but it's not the same. So Judy, Tracey and Shelly...I miss you and love you and can't wait till we get together again. x

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Ok...you might not find this funny but I was LMAO at Cathkin Braes this morning. If anyone had of seen me they would have thought I'd escaped from the Loony Bin! I told you before when I throw something for Rocky he will run hop hop and pounce...very funny in itself if you see it. Well today he added a new trick...I threw a rock and he ran hopped hopped kicked his four legs out to the side and pounced!!! LOLOLOLOLOL The tears were running down my cheeks and I'm still having a giggle as I'm typing this. I wish I had a camera/video ready to capture these moments...I think he would win top prize on You've Been Framed or whatever the show is called.

Anywho, enough of that...here's the card I said I was going to post yesterday but didn't. The stamp is from my new PTI Everyday Button Bits set that I picked up from Fee last weekend. It's been calling my name all week and finally Thursday was the day! I love this set...it's very clever...and I'll be posting a few cards using it over the next week. I thought the Basic Grey paper was perfect for the cherry image and the sentiment comes from a set from Elzybells. The sentiments in this set fit perfectly in little places and where there's no place else to put them. I added a bit of zig zag stitching and the ribbon for the bow is SU! I suppose I should mention the buttons lol...they're PTI as well. You well may be shocked but there's not a speck of glitter in sight!
I started another set of cards last night using a different image from the set but I ran out of the pp I was using so I'm having to make a trip out to get some more this morning. How I hate going to craft stores LOL! I also started another Nikki card but will save that till Monday...if I can wait that long ; )
Right, I must get myself cleaned up to make the torturous trip to craft store land.

One mucky pup!

Thought you'd like to see what Rocky got up to today. We were up at our usual haunt...Cathkin Braes...and he and Ruby decided to explore the enormous puddles from the rain. It hasn't rained for a couple of days (woot woot) so it was more of a mud puddle. I kept walking wondering where the two of them were when the next think I knew he was tearing after me with his ball in his mouth dripping with mud!! LOLOLOLOL he looked like he had a mud pack on!

And since I go on about Cathkin Braes all the time I thought you'd like to see it too. These were taken at the beginning of August...check out the blue skies!!! It was beautiful with all the pink flowers/weeds. LOL that doesn't sound very good but I'm not sure what they are classed as. I'm sure someone will put me right!

I'll be back later to post a card from last night.

2 cappucino's, 2 latte's, 2 slices of banana bread and a fruit scone..

Now before you think I had all of the above myself let me set you straight! After I dropped the mutts (don't tell them I called them mutts!!) off at DDC I met my friend Annette at a new coffee shop called D'Lish...how's that for a name!! I had the cappucino's and ONE banana bread and Annette scoffed the rest. Said she didn't have any breakfast....hmmmmm....must remember to use that one next time LOL. We were only supposed to meet up for an hour but in the end we went to Country Baskets and Flower Scene to get bits for a project Annette is starting. Of course I couldn't let her spend on her own so I bought some ribbon cuz I ain't got none LOLOLOLOL! Just jesting with you...

Here are a few jars of ribbon I've collected over the years! Before the ribbon was in the jars they were in drawers and bags all tangled up. My mom...the Judy...spent hours on one of her trips separating all the lengths into colours and stuffing them into the jars. How's that for motherly love LOL?! My friends will know that thats not ALL my ribbon...I do have some more in drawers and boxes but those are nice and tidy on reels. I've also got 2 racks behind the door with spools and 2 wooden rails above the radiator filled with spools. I think I have an addiction...I'm a ribbon addict...and proud of it ; ) I'll take a picture of the ribbon tomorrow...gorgeous colours and very reasonably priced at £6.60 for 3 rolls, each with 20 metres.

I made 7 cards today woot woot!!! (6 of one design)...the most I've made in ages in one sitting. Very chuffed with myself :) I'll post them tomorrow with all the details.

24 hours later...

This is what I woke up to today...how fickle is the Scottish weather???!!! The water has resided in the back yard though it is still a bit soggy. It was pointed out to me by Fee that photo 3 in the post below needs a bit of photoshop done to it! Wasn't sure what she meant until I clicked on it... LOLOLOL ... didn't notice the steamy mound on the left. My apologies if anyone else spotted it and was put off their breakfast/lunch/dinner!

I had a lovely lunch with my friend Jean today. It had been ages since we'd seen each other so there was a lot of catching up to do. Steven joined us for a bit before we went our separate ways.

I made this Nikki card the other night...I'd been wanting to use this image for ages. I'm just glad I don't have as many dogs as she does...I have enough to do with my two LOL. I coloured her in with my Prisma's, Sansador and stumps...check out the grass...I did that all by myself! I saw a tutorial for grass on SCS by Paula Tracy...her colouring is stunning...and it was pretty straight forward. The cs is Bazzill and ribbon and button PTI. The ribbon wasn't the right shade of brown so I coloured over it with my Copics! Of course I had to add some glitter so the bow on one dogs got some as did Nikki's sweater. I wish I looked this glam when I took Ruby and Rocky out LOL.

Glittered bow and man-made (or should I say woman-made lol) grass!

Here's a closeup of the button...I love PTI buttons ... this is the first one I've used. I'm afraid to use them in case I have none left LOL...how pathetic is that!
That's it for me for tonight. I've got a free day tomorrow...dogs are in Doggy Daycare and I'm meeting up with my friend Annette early for a quick coffee then it's nose to the grind stone. I'm hoping to have some news for you very soon ; )

New goodies...and more rain!!

I'll start with with bad...I know I go on a lot about the weather here but is it any wonder when you wake up to this...

We have a Waterboard pump beside our house and because of all the rain one of the pumps broke down and instead of pumping the water away it all just flowed into our back yard. These pictures really don't do the flood justice! At least it wasn't the sewage we had a few years ago...I won't even start to tell you what was floating around!!!

Enough of that...how about this... much more exciting than rain lol. I met up with my SU! friend Elaine on Sunday at Braehead to pick up my Circle of Friendship stamps and Old Olive ribbon I had ordered. I got to meet Elaine's 2 month old daughter Erin who was beautiful. She was sleeping very contentedly so I never got a cuddle but next time I'm going to make sure I give her a little nudge so I can! Then on Monday I met up with Fee at Silverburn...don't I get around lol...to pick up my goodies that I'd ordered from Papertrey Ink. It's quite expensive to get things shipped from them so 3 of us went in to share the costs but I don't really think it was much cheaper. I got Everyday Button Bits stamp set, Hibiscus Burst grosgrain ribbon and a roll of twine. When I get to play with everything is the $64,000 question!

I'm going to see Fleet Foxes with my friend Pauline. We booked it so long ago I can't even remember what songs they sing LOL. I'll let you know tomorrow. I'm off and running....

Feeling rough...but it's not what you think...

So...how's your weekend been so far? Mine's been pretty good...Saturday was the wedding and need I tell you the weather wasn't nice? But that didn't stop it being a beautiful day. The ceremony, in Bothwell, was lovely...there was tears and laughter... the bride was beautiful as was my friend who was wearing a beautiful pink dress (which shocked a lot of us when she walked into the church as she wears either black, cream, navy or burgundy!) A mini bus was arranged to take those who weren't driving to the reception at The Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh. I was going solo (it's a long story!) and I didn't fancy the drive back from Edinburgh so I hopped on the bus with the others. There was drinks to keep us going until dinner...although I had a glass (plastic cup lol) of champagne on the bus, I stuck to water the rest of the night as I was driving back from the church. The meal was delicious and the speeches entertaining. Then came the band...I don't know who they were but they were fab. I didn't take part in the dancing much (another long story!) although I did a mean Conga in between courses lol! If anyone has been to an Italian wedding they'll know they're very lively : ) There was a lot of Gay Gordon and barn style dancing going on which I definitely made sure my bum was firmly fixed to my seat. I'm surprised there are no serious injuries when these 'dances' are going on as they look extremely dangerous and I swear it's an excuse for people to fling each other about..bodies were flying all over the place!! I managed to get back on the mini bus about 12:30 and was home in my bed for 1:55am....and that my dear peeps is why I'm feeling rough...nothing to do with alcohol but lack of sleep. Sorry it's nothing more exciting lol. I did forget to take a picture of the wedding card...I had it boxed and wrapped before I realized.

I did take a picture of a card I made tonight for my neighbor's granddaughter who is 3 this week.

I love these Penny Black images...I think she's one of my favourites and perfect for a little girl. I stamped her in Momento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copics...haven't used those babies for a while and I'm sure they've felt neglected! The cs is Bazzil but I don't know where the pp is from...I've had it forever. The sentiment is computer generated and ribbon SU! For some reason the star doesn't look great but believe me in person it is twinkling bright : )

I'm going to try and have an early night tonight as I've another busy week ahead of me. I'm really looking forward to one day saying I've nothing much happening lol but I can't see that happening in the near future. In fact it's going to be the exact opposite.

Hope everyone has a good week.

ps There are hopefully going to be a few changes to my blog this week...hope you'll like them : )

It's going to be a white wedding....

Uh...no, it's going to be a WET wedding!! Poor Lucia, the weather is foul...not a nice day at all. Hopefully by the time the ceremony etc starts it will have perked up a bit. I'm just about to take the dogs out for a decent walk before I get all gussied up ... it will be a change to wear high heels and a dress instead of a waterproof and wellies lol!!!

No eye candy today...I got caught up in the card, deliveries and ironing yesterday so didn't get a chance to take a picture of the wedding card. I'll do that before I leave and post it tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow I'm meeting my UK SU! Demonstrator Elaine for a coffee and to pick up some goodies I ordered from her at Brae Head....woot woot...I'l post a piccie of that tomorrow too. I don't think I ordered much and my brain isn't allowing me to remember so I'll be just as surprised as you!

You can do it...B & Q it!!

I'm just back from my regular Thursday night with Sadie. She wanted new wallpaper so we spent an hour in B & Q! Not how I thought I was going to spend my night LOL. She was happy and that's the main thing. Because I was so good Sadie treated me to tea and a bluberry and cheesecake muffin at Rosso in Bothwell...yuuuuummmmeeeee : )

I didn't get much done today...I don't know how many attempts it took me to get the wedding card on the right track. The card is finished and the box is half completed but I should really have got it done and dusted and more besides. Then my neighbour phoned looking for some wedding cards...I didn't have any but when I was showing her my Nikki cards she loved the bride one so bought it! I sold my first Nikki card...woot woot ;) She also bought 2 baby boy cards and ordered 2 more wedding cards and a 3rd birthday card for her granddaughter who she's going to visit in Vancouver next week! Wish I was going {sigh}

I made this Nikki Christmas card last night...not very traditional colours but I like them. The pp is My Minds Eye from http://www.thepapercraftcompany.co.uk/ which I got when I was at Fee's last week. The ribbon is Papertreyink, image is coloured with Prisma pencils, stumps and Sansador. I also used my EK Success wavy border punch...love it!!

LMAO...do you think the snowman fancies Nikki???!!!

Red or black???

I had a busy busy day yesterday...so busy I was too pooped to post last night. I got some of what I said I was going to try and do - done! I finished off the 3 Christmas card designs that were in various stages of completion and managed 2 Nikki cards though they were both the same with the exception of the hair colour...does that count?? I couldn't decide what colour I wanted to do so I tried 2 and now I don't know which one I love more lol!

Here's a pic of the cards I finished off...

And here are the Nikki cards...

Red head or black???
One of the cards is for Steven's girlfriends sister (still with me lol??) who is a lawyer and just started a new job up North. She's got dark hair so I'll probably send her the black haired Nikki.

I still have the wedding card to make and it's a boxed one so that's what I'll get to tomorrow. I put Ruby and Rocky into Doggy Daycare twice a week now so I can get more done. Tonight will be finishing off a Christmas Nikki card and possibly making another : )

Some exciting developments have been happening over the last 2 days and hopefully I'll be able spill the beans to you very soon!!
