Midweek Reminder - CAS

Confession time...I didn't have time to make a card for today's midweek reminder :-( But I found a card using Billie is 1 that I haven't posted (At least I don't think I have!) so I hope my card is CAS enough...I think it might just squeak by lol.

This post is a bit picture heavy so be warned!!

I made this card for our friend's grandson who turned one 2 weeks before Coen. I love Billie with or without a number...she's just the sweetest little bear.

Do you remember those wedding invitations I've been working on for what seems like forever? Well I've finished both sets and I handed one of them over on Sunday. I was really nervous but was relieved when the bride to be cried ... with happiness I might add lol. It was well worth all the hours I spent cutting, scoring, tying, printing etc.

Because the invites were made using kraft cs I wanted to find a box the same. I thought I'd never find one but Paperchase had a PERFECT shirt box. I bought a ceramic heart that says 'Happy ever after begins today' and looped it through the ribbon before tying the bow

The inside of the box is lined with red paper which picks out the red in the hearts. I was really happy with how they turned out and they look fab in the box.

Coen's Corner

I have a 'few' pictures of Coen to show you...I just couldn't choose one this week lol.

I posted a few of these on Facebook the other day so you might have already seen them but I couldn't resist posting them here. We went to the park again as the weather last week was glorious. Of course you can't go to the park on a hot sunny day and not get an icecream lol.

Ahoy matey lol

I love this picture...I just want to kiss those cheeks all the time lol

Nic and Ben left for a wedding in Italy yesterday and Coen moved in!

On the way back from the airport Coen and I stopped at an Outlet Mall and had lunch at Pizza Express. He was getting a bit grumpy so I put all the stickers on his face lol. I thought it was hilarious (as did passers by) but unfortunately I didn't think about how it would hurt when I had to take them off...he screamed blue murder ....bad Grandma lol.

I'm getting more and more excited about going home next week though I still have loads to do, most of which will get done when Coen goes for a nap! I hope to have some scheduled posts while I'm away and if you're lucky I'll pop in to let you know what I'm up to ;-D

That's me for today...hope you have a great week

Sally's Challenge - CAS

Morning bloggers! Hope you're having a good week so far :-D It's time for a new challenge here at LCI though it only seems like yesterday it was our Baby challenge! Speaking of which, thank you to everyone who entered out challenge with their fabby makes. Pop on over to the Challenge Blog to see if you were one of the winners :-D

This is going to be our last challenge until September as the Ladybugs are taking a well earned break in August. There will be a BIG announcement or two so I hope you'll join us September 2nd!

On to our challenge. Our Sally has picked one of my favourite challenges - CAS! Although I don't think CAS means WOW, that's what I usually do.

All the Ladybugs are using an image from the gorgeous Billie Bear Collection . They are super duper cute and can be used for umpteen occasions. I've used Comfy Billie...I LOVE this image and I hope you do too...

I've used Comfy Billie, MFT Blueprints 1 dies, Stampin' Up! banner punch, Sizzix embossing folder and my Copics for this card. It's for my friend Jean who I'm meeting today. I forgot her birthday....it was in May. I know I know...I'm a disgrace but why change the habits of a lifetime lol.

You can't really see it but I've used a Wink Of Stella clear glitter pen on the some of the hearts before glossing them up with Glossy Accents. I added a Swarovski pearl to the pillow and I guess that's about it!

I only have one picture for Coen's Corner this week but it's a belter (IIDSSM!)

LOLOLOLOL...I LOVE this picture...he looks so cute 'buying' his ticket. Or is he checking for leftover change???!!!! He is getting very independent these days and is walking with more confidence. In fact he can actually walk and have a tantrum at the same time he's that confident lol.

Two weeks tomorrow and I'll be heading off home. I'm getting more and more excited but dreading not seeing Coen for a whole MONTH :-( I'm hoping that we can Facetime so he won't forget me....how awful would that be!!!!

That's me for today. I hope you have a GREAT day and look forward to seeing your entries for our CAS challenge.

Oh Baby Midweek Reminder

Goooooooood morning Peeps!!! Glad you could stop by today :-D

I made my midweek reminder card yesterday afternoon as the rain bounced off the ground...so glad I was indoors lol. It's the first proper rain we've had for a while so I guess we can't complain. As long as it remembers to stop and the sun comes out again ;-D

Again I've used Splash Time Baby Baby digi for my card but this time for a boy.

I've used Echo Park Bundle of Joy Boy 6 x 6 paper pad, MFT Pierced Square dies, Doodlebug enamel dots, Stampin' Up flag punch, Memory Box Typewriter Lower Case alphabet, Fluffy Stuff, Glossy Accents, Copic markers, Bazzill cs and PTI white cs to create my card.

Fluffy stuff isn't just for snow a cupcake frosting...you can use it for bubbles too!

I cut the letters for baby out 4 times each and glued the letters together to give a chipboard look and to give some texture. It also makes it easier to fix slim letters to a project using foam tape.

Coen's Corner

I only had the Wee Man one day last week as it was his other Grandma's turn so took advantage of the good weather to go to the beach in Troon. To say it was packed was an understatement!!! Took ages to park but eventually we made it to the beach where I carried Coen and dragged the buggy across the dry sand. I laid down a towel and sat Coen down where he proceeded to pick up sand from one side and drop it on the other not really bothering that the wind was blowing it back into his face and by the end he looked like a human piece of sandpaper lol.

Moira and Coen invited me to the park with them on Friday. It was another beautiful day and we had some lunch at The Boat House then went to the newly renovated swing park.  We had some icecream then took a few selfies...

Coen has discovered his finger fits in his nose lol!!

I'm pleased to say I'm ALMOST finished the second lot of wedding invitations yayyy! It took about 6 hours in total to fix the 1080 crystals...what was I thinking??? I've only 60 (of 120) inserts left to stick then I'm done! I can go on my holiday (3 weeks tomorrow but I'm not counting!) and not even think about the order of service till I get back. I must say I did not enjoy doing those for Nic and Ben's wedding but I'm going to blank them out for now lol.

Ok that's all for today. I hope you have a great week and get plenty of crafting done :-D

Oh Baby...Baby!

Morning Peeps...hope you're ready for another challenge here at LCI!! Before I show you my card and Coen's Corner make sure you check out the Challenge Blog to see if you were one of the winning entries. They were all fantastic and we appreciate you taking the time to enter our challenges.

As usual I'm chasing my tail...more so these last few weeks. The clock is ticking to my trip home next month...4 weeks tomorrow but who's counting lol??? I'm uber excited but I have a TONNE of cards to make and wedding invitations to finish. Yes, I'm still working on the invites! I did finish one order but she needs more so just waiting for the numbers. I started fixing the Swarovski crystals to the other invitations...all 1080 2mm of them!!!! Why oh why do I do this to myself lol??? They are looking pretty fab if I do say so myself and when I've got them all done I'll share them with you.

On to the challenge and my card. Our fabulous Ladybug Susan has chosen the theme of Baby which I think we all love. The DT have used one of the 4 Baby Baby images and we would love it if you would too (you get an extra prize if you do) but it's not mandatory to win.

I've used Splash Time Baby Baby. These images were originally brought out as stamps but have since sold out and are now available as digi's.

I'm happy with my card....for a change! I've used pp that I've had forever and white linen cs. The image is printed on PTI cs...fab when using Copics as it doesn't bleed...and cut out with my MFT stitched circle die mounted on a Nesties Scallop die cut. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the border, fabulous ribbon for the bow, Doodlebug Sprinkles enamel dots and I printed the sentiment on the computer. I made a bow with Lasting Impressions floss, added Glossy Accents to the bubbles which I sprinkled with glitter.

I punched a border from the same pp and added it to the bottom of a white piece of cs for the inside.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

The Corrosive Challenge - Forever Young
Card Mania - Circles
Craft-Dee BowZ - Handmade Bows
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes
Digi Makeover Challenge - Anything Goes
Love to Scrap - Anything Goes

Coen's Corner

I only have Coen once this week as his other grandma is coming down for lots of cuddles and fun. This means I can get stuck into the list of cards I need to get finished to post on here or take with me on my hols.

Here are a couple of pictures of the wee man himself...

His new M & M's back pack that's almost as big as he is lol

This was taken at Rouken Glen on Sunday...it was a gorgeous day and as the schools have finished here in Scotland it was PACKED!!!!

That's it from me today....back to those crystals.

Have a fab Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!

New Release Midway Reminder

Happy Tuesday! This is going to be super quick...not a lot of dialogue...brief and to the point you'll be happy too hear lol. I'm so far behind it's not even funny :-S

I made this card for my mom for Mother's Day ... I've used Fishbowl of Roses and Pink Petticoat digital pp which work really well together.

I love Camelia Blooms...VERY quick to colour which is always a good thing. I've used PTI Tag Sale #10 die for the first time...it's super cute. I cut the scalloped border 3 times and glued them together instead of using foam pads on one...easier to give dimension on small thinner pieces.

The flower is from PTI Bitty Button Stacks die...great value at only $5.00

Coen's Corner consists of a group of pictures I took at Rouken Glen last week. Coen is now walking solo which is keeping me on my toes. He still hasn't crawled which I think is to his detriment because if he falls he doesn't put his hands out. I managed to grab his t shirt the other day just before his nose hit the road! I think the phrase 'eyes in the back of my head' is pertinent now more than ever lol.

Hope you have a great week and remember if you'd like to win all the images from the new Bloomin' Fabulous collection leave a comment on the Challenge Blog telling us your favourite flower.
