A little bird told me...

It's my anniversary (27 years yikes!!!) on Sunday and I've spent the last 2 days trying to figure out what I want to use for hubby's card. Absolutely nothing was inspiring me and considering the amount of stash I have, that is tragic. I figured I would just pop in and out of my workroom in the hope that the stamp, papers, ink and Nesties would magically appear in a nice little pile on my desk and all I would have to do is put it all together! Since that wasn't going to work I had a good root route (look Sue!!) look around and spied a tiny DeNami stamp I've had for ever and got to work.

I have no fear of him seeing it before Sunday as he never goes on my blog so anyone out there that knows him and might bump into him...shhhhh lol!

This is what I came up with...

It's quite white lol but I like it

I really wanted to try Gaynor's technique of running the image through the Cuttlebug in an embossing folder so I gave it a shot. I thought this heart embossing folder would be perfect for the occasion...I love it!

Isn't this little guy just the cutest!
I love these little tags and matching punch from SU! and think it goes perfectly. (The 'o' seems to have a blemish...it's not my stamping honest!)

I've now 2 baby cards to make before I head to the hospital to visit Jean this afternoon. She's still hanging in there but her condition changes on a daily basis. She was moved to High Dependency on Friday and when I went to see her she looked great and was able to talk/whisper (she was asking for a cigarette!!!) a bit thanks to the valve in her tracheostomy but then the next day she was quite unwell and she needed morphine and a transfusion.

Don't forget to grab the banner for next weeks Blog Hop and guess the exclusive is yesterday's post to win a stamp :-D

My wonderful coordinator Lisa has made me a flabby button (it's top left and will be enlarged later today so you can read it!) for the special offer of 15% off when you place an order on the LCI website. You can take advantage of this until the end of November :-D

That's it from me today...hope yours is a good one.

It comes in 3's.....and a One-stop shop! Oh...and a mini competition!

We had a great day yesterday! Thank you to all of you who stopped by our blogs and left comments. We're glad you enjoyed our efforts :-D

If yesterday wasn't exciting enough wait till next week! It's another blog hop and the DT are all jumping about because we're launching LCI's new range of stamps. Woo hoo!! I'm not telling you much just now but there's a clue in the banner!! You seemed to enjoy the first blog hop and I can guarantee this one will knock your socks off...no pressure girls lol.

There are prizes to be won but you've got to have the banner on your blog to be in with a chance so grab it now!

I'm really excited about my second bit of news and have been chomping at the bit to be able to share it with you. When I sent out my DT call back in August I wasn't expecting many applicants but I got the exact opposite. If I could I would have had them all on my team but then the blog hops would go on for days and days lol. So after much deliberation I picked my team and then had a light bulb moment....I would ask the rest of the girls to be Guest Designer's for a month at a time.
October's Guest Designer is Ang and she's starting at the right time for the Blog Hop. She does gorgeous work so make sure you check out her blog. She's the baby of the bunch so be gentle with her lol and give her as much Ladybug Love as you can :-D

As the title says, it comes in 3's so here is my third bit of news. I have a voucher in October's issue of Crafts Beautiful which gives any of my customers a code when they shop on my website. I know not everyone buys CB so I thought as a thank you to my followers and customers I would give you the code to put in the voucher box when checking out. So what does this code give you....it only gives you 15% off your entire order until the end of November!! Also if you spend over £20 postage is free...worldwide! What do you think of that?

The code is CB2010...happy shopping!

And finally I wanted to show you something that had me hopping around my kitchen yesterday. I have adverts and freebies in a few magazines but can never remember when they come out and which is in what (not good I know). I know they are iminent or just out when I get a copy sent to me. Yesterday I received Issue 60 of Papercraft Essentials and thought it would be one of the giveaways but it was this...

A full page of One-Stop shop! I was asked a couple of weeks ago if I would do it as someone had pulled out at the last moment so it was a mad dash to get the images over and a little blurb on each item. If you look close you'll see a bit of an exclusive! In fact how about a little prize give away. Post a comment on what you think the exclusive is and I'll pull 5 names from my trusty clear bowl and they'll win a prize. You have until Saturday to make your comment and I'll pick the winners on Sunday. I hadn't actually planned this when I started today's post lol...but I got a bit carried away and besides...everyone loves a competition!

I'd better go before I think of another competition and end up with no stamps to sell!

Thanks for stopping by.

TLT Challenge - Lisa's Sketch

Another week another TLT Challenge. This week is Lisa's turn and she chose the sketch below. Like my challenge last week, Pink Plus 1, this innocent little sketch reduced some of the DT to quivering wrecks lol. But can I tell you, they all rose to the challenge big style :-D Their cards are flabulous and I hope you enjoy....

Me!

The girls have worked so hard this week, some if not all of us have had an extremely busy and chaotic week in one way or another so I hope you show some Ladybug Love for their efforts. I know I say it every week (all 3 of them lol) but your comments are greatly appreciated and spur us on to do better work not to give us big heads lol. We are doing this for you to help inspire you even in some small way :-D

Now some exciting news...next week sees the release of a new range of stamps! I can't tell you how excited I am about these...I've had them under wraps for a couple of weeks and it's been killing me not to reveal them. To celebrate we are having another blog hop...Yeeeeee Hawww!!! All will be revealed later in the week but for now grab the banner below (notice the cheeky sneaky peek?) and add it to your blog with a link to my blog :-D

Thanks for stopping by today...I hope you enjoyed the teams cards.

Enjoy the rest of your day :-D

And finally....

Before I forget, the last of the blog hop winners have been in touch and picked their stamps and are winging their way to them. One of them went to Israel which was very exciting and a first for an LCI stamp :-D
Here are the last two cards from Gaynor and Ann...I think these are my favourite but don't tell the others lol...

OMG...I want to eat Jack!!!! I love the colours Gaynor used for Football Jack.

Hands up who have made this face at one point in their lives lol {me me me} I love the colours Ann used with Cheeky Jack :-D

Thank you so much Gaynor and Ann for your beautiful samples. I am absolutely delighted with them :-D

Don't forget tomorrow is TLT ... it's Lisa's turn and she's chosen a sketch which has a few of the DT in a tizzy lol. This is what's so great about these challenges...it takes us out of our comfort zone and forces us to try new things. I can't tell you how much Hayley's challenge has got everyone panicking and it's not until October 19th lol.

Hope you've enjoyed Gaynor and Ann's cards over the last 3 days :-D Have a great week.

Christmas Ruby's

As promised yesterday here are more sample from Gaynor and Ann...this time Christmas Ruby's.

I really like how Gaynor has run the coloured images through the Cuttlebug in an embossing folder. I'm definitely going to give this one a try:-D

You can't tell from the picture but Ann has used acetate for the window

It's a nice to see a trianglular card...another must try!

I'm going to head into my workroom now and try and get my TLT card done. The DT have been sending theirs to me so I'd better get my skates on or they'll be cracking the whip!

Have a look at these..

I haven't had much time for crafting these days so I was happy as a pig in poop when a package arrived last week from Gaynor and Ann with their latest samples! I'm not going to bore you with a commentary on each one but have a looky and let me know what you think. What do I think? Flabulous!!!!

Christmas Pudding Attack

Now this is something I've not done before (at least I can't remember doing it!) and that's stamp my image, colour it in then put it through a Cuttlebug in an embossing folder.

How flabulous does Vanity Reindeer look!

I just love Tracey and her Reindeer

Great colours :-D

All these cards are small... 4 3/4" square is the biggest ... so these images lend themselves to all sizes of cards.
I've got to shoot off now but make sure you check in tomorrow as I've more of Gaynor and Ann's cards to show you...and trust me...you won't want to miss them!!
Have a great Saturday :-D
