Paper Lane

I've enjoyed the first few days of my holiday lying on the beach doing absolutely NOTHING! But I started to get antsy and figured today was as good as any to find this scrapbook store I stumbled across on the internet last year.
After breakfast I got a taxi to Paper Lane ... about 15 minutes from my hotel...how handy lol. It's not what you would expect as it's actually a villa but apparently here in Dubai it's very common for people to rent villas as business properties. I felt like I was walking into someone's house!

I wanted some of the girls who work at Paper Lane to get in the picture but they all ran away so I ended up in them. You can tell I wasn't expecting my picture to be taken!

I'm not sure what I was expecting but they have all the up-to-date lines of paper...Basic Grey, KI, Making Memories etc. They had lines of BG that I hadn't seen before so I had to indulge in buying some. They had a wall of thickers, shelves of Prima flowers, Tim Holtz distress inks, Bazzill....

In this room they have the Nestabilities, Martha Stewart punches, Sizzix, Inkadinkado stamps Boss Kut dies...you name it Paper Lane have it. The girl that ended up helping me was called Ruby! Is it fate or what???!!! All the staff were lovely and hopefully I'll get a chance to go back before we leave.

This is the same room from another angle. They have a classroom upstairs and I would have loved to have taken a class but because they're moving to new premises later this month all the classes were re-scheduled until after the move.
It's getting late and I need to get ready for dinner. Hope you all have a lovely May long weekend and stay safe whatever you do.
Catch ya later x
