Moving Along With The Times

I was asked weeks and weeks ago by my trusted co-ordinator Lisa if I would sponsor Moving Along With The Times (MAWTT) one week. I said sure and totally forgot about it until she reminded me the other day that it was today and did I want to make a card for it. Yeah no problem says I!! Eeek...I got to work at 8:30 last night and got it over to Lisa by about 10:10pm...that's a quick card for me lol. The winner of the Challenge will get to pick a stamp of their choice :-D

Anywho the theme is Ring out the old, Ring in the new. Now I don't want any of you feeling sorry for me but I didn't get any crafty things for Christmas. {gasp} I know...I was totally neglected lol. I had to put my thinking cap on as to the nearest thing that I got new and I must confess although I was really excited about it, it's rather boring lol. My something new is my Copic X press card stock. I'm sure some of you will be extracited about that but if you think about it, it is boring! I'm not sure how old 'old' is supposed to be but the embossing folder I used is a couple of years old so I think that counts right?

Here's my card...tell me whatcha think...

I was looking through my stamps pondering which one to use when my eye fell on Robyn. I haven't inked her up in months so she got the special treatment.  I'm not sure if I've ever used the embossing folder {hanging head in shame} but I will definitely be using it more often. I stitched the corners and tied a 'bow' with some pink spotty ribbon I found in a drawer (this could probably qualify for old lol). I had a bit of a 'mare trying to tie a bow so only the spots showed. After 10 minutes I gave up and tied a knot then folded the ends under to make it look bowish and finished it off with an epoxy dot.

I continued the spotty theme by adding spots to Robyn's dress with my white gel pen. I gave her patent shoes but she went and scuffed them so don't look too close.

Here's a closeup of my little bow. Top tip...cut the ends at an angle so you can tuck the point into the base of the knot :-D

I hope the DT over at MAWTT enjoyed using LCI stamps and I look forward to seeing what the girls have come up with.

I know I said I had some news for you yesterday and I still do so Friday is the new Wednesday so make sure you check back then. I'll also tell you about my new exercise regime I'm starting later today and whether or not I'll keep it up!

Thanks for stopping by.

Catch ya later x

Your card is lovely, and so cute! Thanks for the tip re adding a bow, bows are my absolute nightmare, they take me longer that the whole thinking, cutting, and making the card process! Hope you are well and good luck with the MAWTT blog, p.s. look forward to hearing your news!! Anne

Fabulous card Kerry, love the fresh look of a mainly white card, and great tip with the bow (I hate ribbon that is only printed on one side for that very reason!!)
Good luck with your sponsorship of the challenge and looking forward to your news tomorrow :-)
