Lisa says...

....we should have a reminder about the Summer Birthday's challenge and who am I to argue! Any excuse to make a card I say lol.

Summer screams bright and sunny (not that it's very bright or sunny in Glasgow today hmph) so of course that's what I went with. I don't think you need your sunnies but maybe be prepared just in
case :-D

I find all my cards are pretty much straight...all lines going the same way and lately I've seen a lot of 'off kilter' mounting. Yesterday I was over at Susan's blog and she had made a flabulous 'off kilter' card and I thought it was about time I made one too.

I love Magnum and Lily so thought I'd dig them out. The pp was in the box where I found this...I'm on a bit of a recycling kick I guess. Instead of mounting the green check pp I sewed it directly onto the main pp. The only think I'd change is to mount the stripey pp onto the same lilac cs I mounted the image on. Of course I didn't check to see if I had more before I'd stuck it down hence no mount.

I've got a few birthdays coming up so now I've got to decide who will be getting this one.

Only a couple of days left to enter to win the Blogaversary candy. Welcome to my most recent followers...you're VERY welcome!

Have a few jobs to do this afternoon so I must fly.

Thanks for stopping by

Catch ya later x

Very cheerful card. The tilting works just fine! I should try it myself some time. Here on Crete the sun is shining brightly (again). I can just about keep my office space at a reasonably working temperature thanks to my mobile A/C unit.

Its dark and miserable here right now so your card has cheered me up no end! Whenever I do these off kilter ones I get very confused and it ends up looking rubbish so I go back to my straight lines!! Hope you are ok today hon, take care. Pami x

This is too cute! I love your off kilter card and the lines. We are in the middle of summer here, but suppose to have thunder storms all day. We'll see. I love a good rain once in a while. Hugs, Lisa G

Soooo cute; I am horrid at coloring animals; but you rocked this. LOVE the colors, particularly that you stitched that green panel directly onto the striped paper - awesome.

I had a birthday July 12 - you can send this one to me...you know, kinda a jump start on next year?

LMBO!!

I love skeewif cards it means that I dont need to worry trying to get it in a straight line, then realising once its stuck its squinty!!

Love the stripes it reminds me of a box of fizzle sticks, does anyone remember them?? It was sweeties we used to get when we were wee (late 70's early 80's)! They were like small skinny sticks of edinburgh rock except soft and tangy (fruity?) when new, or hard when they were left lying around but still yummy!! Mmmmmm! :OP

Sorry went off track there! Your card is lovely Kerry and brought back lovely memories for me with your choice of paper!

Hugs
Roni :O) xox
