We're having a blizzard...

...and my boys are stuck in it on the motorway. When they left for work this morning at 6:30 there was no sign of it but once they got to work it was treacherous. They didn't stick around long before they headed back but they've gone 2 miles in 2 hours and they reckon they'll be another 6 hours before they get home if they're lucky. All the roads are either gridlocked or closed off. A friend lives about 5 miles away so if worse comes to worse she says they can walk there but I don't know if they'll be able to find it.

Rocky went back to Doggy Daycare today but he might have to stay the night as hubby might be stuck at the office. I got the train into town to meet a friend for a coffee. When I got to Central Station they'd just cancelled all the services! All I was worried about (apart from my boys) is Ruby being stuck in the house on her own. Luckily after a couple of minutes they announced my train was back on so I managed to get home safely. I can't believe how much snow has fallen and still continues to fall. Fingers crossed everyone will get home safely. My advice...don't go out if you don't need to. It's not worth the risk!

Onto my card. I made this for my friend Agnes. Her birthday was at the end of November and as usual I was late but she should have received it by now and I hope she likes it.

Agnes is in her 70's (don't tell her I told you!) but I thought she would like one of the Cupcake Cuties so I inked up Stack of Cupcakes and coloured her in with my Copics.

I got a bit carried away with decorating the cupcakes...there's Fluffy Stuff, Swarovski Crystals, Glossy Accents, Glamour Dust and the tiny Beadz!

I coloured the flower in her hair brown by mistake so to cover it I found a little flower small enough and topped it with a crystal.

I'm really chuffed with the way it's turned out...I {heart} the BG pp.

Tomorrow is TLT so I hope you're ready for a new challenge. I think you'll really like this one. The DT's samples are flabulous and I'm sure will provide you with plenty of inspiration. The winners from last week will be announced...is it you???

That's me for today. Since I'm snowed in I'm going to try and get all my Christmas cards done today! Hmmmm...maybe that's a bit ambitious of me lol.

Thanks for stopping by. Be safe in the snow.

Catch ya later x

ps. Just spoke to Ryan and they're moving a little bit. I wouldn't be worried as much but they've hardly got any gas left in their tank!

Great card mrs! OMG the snow is horrendous - I've never seen it so bad before! I got the kids out school at lunchtime but hearing lots of horror stories about people being stuck. Fingers crossed for everyone who's still out there in the cold xx

Great card - where did you get that scrummy paper - I love it!

Hope the boys get home safe. I got to work for 9:30 this morning and left at 1:30 to come home. Got home about 7:30. 6 HOURS for a journey that normally takes just over an hour!!! Horrendous!! Wish I had just stayed in bed... and to top that teeny isn't well either - may have croup, so may be off to hospital with him tomorrow if the doc's meds that he gave him don't help :o(

Oh Kerry, what a nightmare! Our work had an emergency meeting and we were told to close the office, I stayed on as I'm only a 10 minute walk, but the majority of the staff left just after 11am and one girl who could've walked home in 20 minutes, it took her 1 hour and 40 minutes by car just to get to the other side of town! One of the girl's husbands works on a building site in Motherwell left at 10.30 this morning and he drove up the street tonight at 5.55pm!! Flippin mental!!

By the way your card is totally scrumptious and I love the tartan paper, that would've been perfect for my birthday, St Andrews Day!! :)

Hugs Roni :O) xox

A blizzard, oh my! I kinda miss the snow, where I live (Arizona) we don't get any snow. During the day its about 70 degrees and it only gets down to about 30 degrees during the night.
Very cute card Kerry! Those cupcakes look yummy!
