What have I been up to???

STD's...that's what I've been up to!! And for those of you that haven't got a clue what I'm talking about ... I'm talking Save The Date's nothing else lol. Nicole has been cracking MY whip wanting to get the STD's out even although (is that proper English???) the wedding isn't until May 26th next year. We got to work on them on Tuesday, she writing out the addresses and me measuring, cutting measuring again and corner rounding. That's where the trouble started (is anything ever straight forward with me???). AFTER I rounded all the corners of the pinky/peachy mounting card I noticed the majority of the edges were a bit chomped so I started trimming them with scissors. I'd trimmed about a 1/2 dozen and realised I could be there all day so I downed corner rounder and started putting the flower die through my Cuttlebug....75 times!!!! I went to Craft World on Wednesday to buy a new corner rounder but they were waiting for them coming in so Donald kindly lent me a couple of theirs to try. I bought more of the pinky/peachy Bazzill just in case I made an even bigger mess but all went well in the end with only minor trimming needed :-D Thursday saw me spend 4 hours rolling flowers...it did seem like a good idea at the time as it always does when you make one lol. I also GA'd the magnets to the back and glittered up the hearts on the front. Unfortunately I had to abandon the sewing as Nic was chomping at the bit to get them done (on hindsight maybe that wasn't a bad thing) but in the end it was the flat back pearls that let me down. I ordered them Wednesday thinking I'd get them the next day but they only arrived this morning set to work GA'ing them to the flowers. On closer inspection some of the flowers look a bit ropey but hopefully the invitees won't notice lol.

This is what the finished STD's look like...can you see what I tried to do when I laid them out?? Just as well I'm not making the cake...

I'm glad that's over and maybe now I can get caught up with LCI business before Nic starts cracking the whip for the invitations hmph!

As I haven't made anything other than the STD's (and make my FIL a birthday card using a NEW image {squealing clapping hands}) I've got one final Christmas Jack and Robyn card to show you.

This one is Bless This Tree - What a cutie!

I like clear lights on a tree but wish I had coloured these ones. Oh well, guess I'll have to make another one :-D

EVERY little (and big!) girl should have sparklicious slippers

I'm really going to have to get my skates on now to get some more samples to show. Also must check what birthdays are coming up...August is another killer month. I've got Ryan and my SIL on the 24th, DLS on the 26th, FIL and BIL were on the 3rd (haven't started BIL's yet!), plus I've a late engagement and wedding card to make too. I know there's a Ladybug's birthday in there as well and I daren't be late for that one...thankfully towards the end of the month.

The LCI sale is still on until the 15th. You can buy one stamp and get another 1/2 price...buy 2 get 2 1/2 price and so on!!!!! I received a FABULICIOUS parcel yesterday of some new stamps PLUS I've got another set to go off to the manufacturer's this coming week and I need the room :-D Just to tempt you further I also had a delivery of 5 fabulicious new colours of felt. If you haven't already tried it I strongly recommend you do. It's lovely and soft and goes through the Cuttlebug with ease...no frayed edges or nufink!

Lilac Purple

Lush Jade Green

What a Peach!

You've Been Tango'd

Wedgewood Blue

I always find the pictures don't do justice and these certainly don't...especially the Just Peachy and Lush Jade Green. I'm going to put them on the website once I've made myself a coffee so don't go rushing off...form an orderly queue and be patient lol. I'm no good without my caffeine :-(

I had dinner with Lynn and Elaine the other night at Asia Style in Glasgow...it was yummalicious!! If you go you HAVE to have the Malaysian style green beens....WOW. We all ordered starters and I don't know about you but I like to SHARE when I go for a Chinese. Lynn on the other hand likes to order Crispy Salt and Pepper Squid KNOWING Elaine and I won't touch it with a barge pole (though Elaine gave it a good effort the last time we were out) hmph. Maybe it's Karma but Lynn said she got a new ring tone for her iphone...said it was Linus and Lucy from a Charlie Brown Christmas (just the opening bit). I love all things Charlie Brown so asked to hear it and OMG...it brought back so many memories of when I was growing up. Unfortunately when I played it to my kids they just gave me a blank stare! So did hubby for that matter lol. Anywho, I begged and pleaded with Lynn to have it as my ring tone as well. Luckily she said yes and we proceeded to download it. The Karma bit? Well, she's got the ring tone in her phone but can't work out how to get it applied whereas my phone more or less did it itself. The rest of the night I kept asking her to call me just so we could listen to it lololololol....what am I like! Click on the link above and let me know if it brings back any memories for you :-D
Ok Peeps...thanks for popping in today. I hope you're having a great weekend.

TLT - My Challenge - Favourite Stamp

Hello everyone! Boy have I missed TLT...mind you I don't know how I would have fitted it in last month! What with my menopausal drama's (Angus seems to be working :-D) and friends coming to stay and just life in general...phew, I need a holiday lol.

So let's get on with it....welcome to TLT...it's great to be back. Because it was the summer hols and everyone would be busy I didn't think we'd get many entries for Sue's July Challenge - Summer Birthday's but boy we were swamped! You guys really outdid yourselves this time :-D Take yourself on over to the Challenge Blog to see if you're one of the winner's.

This month it's my turn to pick the challenge which is Favourite Stamp. I don't know what I was thinking when I chose that cuz asking me to choose my favourite stamp is like asking me to choose my favourite child!!! Of course my kids are forever accusing me of favouring one of the other's but I just keep telling them that they're ALL my favourite lol.

After much deliberation I chose Buttercup - In the doghouse. I just LOVE Buttercup (as I do all my other stamps lol)....this one is such fun to colour in. I have a confession to make before I show you my card. I made this card for one of my Ladybugs....I totally forgot Anita's birthday last month...think I was mid PB lol...I thought I had all the July birthday's wrapped up. I'm sorry Anita ... I hope you like your card :-D

Are you shocked it isn't square? I am lol. I got the pp from a Kaiser 6 x 6 pad that I picked up in Craft World the other week and I can see myself using it a lot. Some of the flowers in the pp are shiney...very lush

There's me in the doghouse for forgetting Anita's birthday lol

After seeing a lot of punched fences in blogland recently I was determined to dust mine off and use it...whether it suited or not!

So there you have it :-D Make sure you check out the other Ladybug's creations and leave some love....we LOVE Ladybug Love.

I regret to inform you that my Blogaversary candy and 'old' follower prize has remained {gasp} unclaimed!! I have contacted Random Org and have redrawn the winners and they are:

Main winner - SUSAN

'Old' Follower - KURLY-Q

Congratulations girls...I do hope you'll claim your prizes (you've got a week) otherwise I'm going to keep them for myself lol! Email me at ladybugcraftsink@aol.com  to let me know where you want your stash sent :-D

I think that's it from me for today. I'm going to spend the rest of the day making the STD cards...Nic wants them out this week!!! Little does she know Monday will be soon enough lol.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Summer Sale!!!!

Good morning peeps..how are you on this glorious Saturday morning? The sun is still shining here in Scotland which is amazing and I think we're to get a few more days of it too!

Just wanted to let you know some fabulicious news...Ladybug Crafts Ink is having a SALE woo hoo!!! Starting Monday August 1 through to Monday August 15th all stamps will be buy one get one 1/2 price with the cheaper one being 1/2 price and if that's not gonna do it for you how about FREE postage too??!!!! How does that sound? Everyone loves a bargain right :-D

Here is another sample I made....I love this image, it makes me chuckle every time I look at it.

Isn't Robyn a little minx!

I'm heading off to CW this morning to get the cs for the STD cards. Nic's got the whip out and wants them done for next week!! Ladybugs...you think I'm bad with the whip lol.

The vet showed me Ruby's x-rays when I went to pick her up yesterday. She has a large mass along her cheek and jawline. She isn't sure what it is and they've done all the test and examinations they can think of so she has an appointment on Monday at The Vet School. This is where Ruby had her amputation and surgery for her broken front leg so they know her very well and everyone loves her. It's her home away from home lol. Fingers crossed it's nothing serious.

Hope you have a great weekend and the sun is shining wherever you are.

Costa del Glasgow

We had a great run of weather this past week. It was fabulicious to feel the sun on my skin and for the first time this year I sat out and enjoyed it :-D As you know I had visitors for a week and this is what we did....

Saturday: Sally and I went for a run then Sally, Abi, Amber and I went into town for a little mooch around and had lunch at Yo Sushi where Ben works and popped in to see Nic. Went out for dinner to D'Lish...and it was! Bought icecream on the way home and then Amber sang 4 or 5 songs for us...she's going to sing at Nic and Ben's wedding!

Sunday: Martin, Sally and I went for a run then took Ruby and Rocky to CB then we pottered about the house then Martin and Amber left to go home as Amber was going on holiday with friend.
Monday: Woke to find Ruby with swelling under her chin so took her to vet. They decided to sedate her for a thorough check but still not sure exactly what caused it...most probably an allergic reaction to a sting. She really wasn't well at all. Then it was THE CLEAROUT!!! I really didn't think I'd have much left after Abi and Sally made me try on EVERYTHING in my wardrobe. We had a charity pile, an ebay pile and a what-on-earth-was-I- thinking pile lol. I'm telling you here and now everyone should have a Sally in their lives....she put things together in my wardrobe I wouldn't have thought possible and all I had to do was add a scarf or piece of jewellry and I had a new outfit! Sally and I went for another run (do you think I have the bug???) before dinner instead of going to Zumba later.

Tuesday: we were going to go to Edinburgh but changed that to Wednesday and instead sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine. I've got a nice little glow now :-D After dinner Sally, Abi, Nic and I went to see Horrible Bosses. I booked the tickets online and picked them up at the cinema. We got our goodies (I had Ben & Jerry's most megalicious Fairly Nuts and Berry Nice yum!!) then got our seats and waited. There weren't that many people in the cinema which surprised me but figured there would be a last minute rush. It seemed to take ages to come on when a tiny kidlet in front of us started crying. I thought it was odd that he/she was allowed into a 15 movie but when Abi looked at our tickets it turned out ours were for Cars 2!!!!! Turned out when I put my card in the machine to collect our tickets someone had started to buy Cars 2 tickets and I paid for them. Got it sorted and we got to see Horrible Bosses which was pretty funny.

Wednesday: Edinburgh!!! Nic picked us up and we parked in town and got the train from Queen Street. It was another gorgeous day and we had a lovely time going in and out of the stores and had a lovely lunch then the train back to the car and against my will was dragged to Booty Camp by Nicole. She goes to this class 3 times a week and I can only describe it as torture. I have resisted going so far but Sally was keen to go and I didn't want to appear to be a wet blanket so went along. I hated EVERY second of it. Andy made us run at a faster pace than I'm used to then we had to do 10 push ups and run up a steep embankment and down then 9 push ups and up again etc. Then it was squat thrusts or booty burps as they call them...anyway, you get the idea...not my idea of fun that's for sure. Maybe if it wasn't so hot I might have thought of going again but I can barely raise my arms above my shoulders!!

Thursday: Took Ruby to vets then it was time to get Sally and Abi to the train. We went in a bit early to see Nic and pick up last minute bits and pieces then I said a teary goodbye. It was such a fantastic week and I loved every bit of it :-D

I had to take Ruby back to the vets this morning and although she is in better form and the swelling under her neck is gone it has moved to the right side of her face and is a bit hard and she can't open her mouth very wide. The vet says the swelling is bigger than yesterday so decided to sedate her again and take x-rays and possibly a biopsy if they find anything. Poor thing has been through the mill since we got her but she's a fighter and I'm sure she'll be fine.

After all that I'm sure you've lost the will to live but I've got a card to show you so hang on for just a bit longer lol.

This is another one of the Christmas Jack and Robyn samples I made a while back...

I still haven't heard from the winners of the candy but have decided to give it a full week for them to get in touch so if I haven't heard anything by 12 noon on Monday August 1st I will re-draw 2 winners :-D Also I've some exciting news to tell you tomorrow so make sure you check back...I think you'll like it :-D

Ok..I think I've rambled on enough...have a great weekend.
