TLT - Michele's Challenge - Flowers

Woo hoo...you guys sure loved the blog hop last week. Thank you all so much for your lovely comments and funny quips about The Wrinkley's resembling someone you know! I think we all have one of the Wrinkley's in us lol.

There were quite a few prizes to be won...there was the Challenge of Anything Goes...the top 3. Then there was the grand prize of the whole set of The Wrinkley's and 3 runners up of a Wrinkley of their choice. Was it you? The only way to find out is to head on over to the Challenge Blog ... good luck!

Well, it's my gorgeous Ladybug Mary Poppins Michele's challenge this week and you can never go wrong with FLOWERS!!! I think it's almost second nature for most of us to add a flower or 3 to our cards these days and isn't it great Michele is MAKING us this week lol.

This isn't the card I had originally planned for today but I was so busy with MIL and FIL and the weekend that I never got the chance to make it. This is my reserve card but TBQH it fits the challenge perfectly! I'll let you be the judges.....

So we've got pp (Lasting Impressions) with flowers, we've got embossed flowers on cs (LOVE this folder) and we've got rolled felt flowers. {swoon} Is that enough flowers for ya lol?!

Ya gotta love these two lol...I'm not being funny but they are the spit of my MIL and FIL!!! In fact you'd think I'd used them as models for the images but I swear on the Rubster's life I didn't..nope, na uh.

I paper pieced the chair and HAD to do her pants too because she had an accident rofl. Ok...I had the accident so to rescue it I paper pieced them so they looked like jeans. Yup...this old gal is trendy lol.

Be still my heart...aren't these just so yummy...I could just eat them! Rose Pink, What a Peach and Vanilla....they were meant to go together like these two Wrinkley's {sigh}

I had a sneak peak at the rest of the Ladybugs cards and you are gonna LOVE them. Oh my...they have really pushed themselves this week. As always we love to know what you think so please please pu-leeze leave us a comment :-D

Finally you've still got a bit of time to take advantage of grabbing your Wrinkley at the special release price of £5.99.

That's it from me...thanks for stopping by :-D

ps...got something AMAZING for you next week shhhhhh!

The things we do for our pets...

As I worked at the weekend Rocky and Ruby didn't get their usual trips up to CB apart from a quickie Saturday morning before I headed off. Yesterday was foul so just took them around the block and when I came back last night did the same again as NOBODY took them. MIL and FIL arrived on Thursday and today were heading on the train to Harrogate on the train to house sit for BIL and SIL. When I got back from seeing them off I decided despite Hurricane Katia (or whatever her name is) doing her thing I would take them to CB. We arrived to GFW but that still didn't put us off. We headed down the path ... them doing their thing and me trying to stay on my feet... I was getting buffeted around like nobody's business. It was getting pretty fierce so after about 15 minutes headed back up to the car. Eventually I got Ruby into the car but Rocky was busy sniffing out some dogs so took me a while to get him in. In the process my baseball cap blew off so after pressing the button to close the trunk turned to rescue my cap. Next thing Rocky comes flying past me...the rascal managed to jump back out of the car before the door closed so I grabbed him and literally threw him back in...waited for the door to close then went after my cap. You'd think I was drunk the way I was walking. I had to climb through tall grass to get to my cap....managed to reach it when I felt a pricking sensation on my left leg...I only went and got stabbed by stinging nettles! I turned to go back to the car...almost got blown over and had to hang onto the gate until the gust past. I looked up at the carpark and through my windswept hair saw a guy sitting in his car laughing his head off at me...so glad I managed to keep him entertained hmph. My coat was foaming...I can only guess it was residue from being washed, my car was soaked by the time I got home and this was the end result.....

along with some raised bumps on my knee from the stinging nettles and mascara running down my face. Now don't go thinking I was the only nutter up there because the carpark was full of them! Unless you're a dog owner you'll never understand lol.

The demo weekend was fantastic! I had such a great time and met a lot of lovely ladies (and gentlemen)...some for the first time and some familiar faces from last year and some of my lovely followers. It was funny when I was asked about the wedding plans or Ruby and I'm thinking...I don't remember telling you about it forgetting about my blog lol. So a big hello and thanks for coming by to Suzy Q, Anja, Keira (especially for my muffin and coffee!) Ann, Alison, Elaine, Alison, Lynn, Ally, Margaret, Roberta, Margaret, Roni, the Two Wrinkley's...(you know who you are!)  and those whose names escape me!

Apart from showing my stamps I was demonstrating Prisma Pencils using Zest It (similar to Gamsol but with a citrus smell) and paper stumps. I haven't used mine in a while but I really enjoyed playing them again. I'm not great at shading but these pencils make it happen with very little effort :-D Here's a picture of me that Suzy Q took (one of these days I hope someone WILL take a decent photo of me)....

Ok.....you'll see I'm demonstrating neither the pencils or LCI stamps but how to make a rolled paper flower without using a die lol. And yes my table was very untidy!

I seem to give you more stories about my daily life than cards these days....sorry lol! Here's one of the samples I made for Craft World. I wasn't too sure about Ain't Getting Old Wrinkley but once I coloured her up and put this card together I quickly changed my mind...I think she's fabulicious lol....

Apart from The Wrinkley's, I had the new Christmas Jack and Robyn samples and Shoes n' Bags but The Wrinkley's seem to cause the most stir. I think it was because people can identify one of The Wrinkley's in themselves or someone they know! At one point I looked up from colouring and there was a lady standing in front of me looking exactly like this image...stick and included ... I do hope she saw the humour in it lol.

I've just about dried out and won't be going anywhere near CB until the winds die down. I have a few cards I MUST get done for this week so I'll love you and leave you.

If you're getting the same weather as us in Scotland stay safe and don't go walking your dog unless you really have to and oh...stay away from stinging nettles!! Now where's my dock leaf.....

Stuffed Turkey

So what about the blog hop? I told you the girls rocked this one! Thanks to all of you for your comments...I've had quite a chuckle reading how some of you are comparing yourself or friends/family to the images lol.

I never managed to do the hop until the next day. Nicole's wedding dress came in and we could only go Tuesday morning at 9:30. I had to drop the dogs at Doggy Daycare and pick Nic up at 8:45 ... we were doing really well, chatting away. Came off the roundabout onto the slip road that takes us onto the motorway and came to an immediate stop....the traffic was backed right past our exit. We both swore at the same time lol and then Nic told me to reverse back up the slip road and go a different route!!! Ok...can you picture me halfway down the slip road, reversing with cars swerving to miss me? I think not! She insisted it could be done but I just told her to phone the store and tell them we'd be late hmph. Now I worry that she might do something like that herself if she was late for something...it's no wonder mom's colour their hair lol. We managed to get to the store 30 minutes late and as her appointment was for an hour we still had plenty of time. When she came out of the dressing room she looked beautiful...and I did get the lump in the throat and a tear in my eye again. Wonder what I'll be like on the day! I thought we were heading home but she had other ideas. We looked at bridesmaids dresses and found a beautiful one (I picked it...I'm 2 for 2 lol) and the girls are going to look stunning in them. Then Nic got it in her head that we had to look for the MOB outfit. I dreaded this as I don't do dresses and wanted to wear palazzo type trousers so it would look like a dress but I was shot down pretty quick. We went to a store that sold MOB dresses and my worst nightmare was realised....look what she stuffed me into .....

OMG...I could give Joan Collins a run for her money! There was no point in arguing so I managed to just about get myself into it though couldn't do the zip up lol. I LOVE the colour but it's just so OTT and well....shiny!!!! I can't believe she thought I would wear something like this...she's so disappointed I'm not going to buy it...and so was the saleswoman. Once she realised I wasn't parting with the best part of £800 she lost interest in us lol. There's no way I'm going to be paying that kind of money for a one off hmph.

Here's a picture I took of Ryan last week. The guy on the tv is Will Young who won Pop Idol (it's now called X Factor) 10 years ago and from the minute Will came on the screen all those years ago people keep telling Ryan he's his double which he hates!

I don't know...I think they could be twins separated at birth lol

I'm demonstrating at Craft World this weekend. This is their biggest demo day of the year...there will be 14 of us demonstrating various products. If you're in the area make sure you pop in...there's plenty of stash to stock up on and from memory there's tea and coffee and muffins from Costco!!

This is one of the samples I've made them...

I just love Beach Babe...she kinda reminds me of my MIL but when I told her that I think she got a bit miffed lol. I bought the Fancy Pants 6 x 6 pp from Hayley ages ago and it was perfect for the image.

I added the white spots to the costume with my Inkssentials pen

Each image comes with 3 sentiments for £6.99...great value for money. Laura did an amazing job getting the images exactly the way I wanted them.

Dinner's almost ready so I'd better get the table set. Don't forget to come by and say hi if you make it to Craft World....I'll be upstairs :-D

Have a great weekend whatever you're up to.

This one is called Get Up And Go and you may remember I posted a card I made with it back in May for my mom for Mother's Day. As always I've stamped her in Momento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with my Copics. The pp is from my FPPOTM (favourite paper pad of the moment lol) Kaisercraft Hey Birdie Collection. A bit of stitching and a megamazing Mulberry felt flower with a pearl centre finish it off...oh and a bit of glitter too!

Ok...so what do ya thunk? Answers on a postcard Just leave a comment and you never know...you could win this beauty :-D
