Candy Project

Happy Wednesday Friday! I know I promised I would post a project on Wednesday that I made with the candy I am offering for the new release blog hop but it got scarily crazy here . What do you mean, what blog hop??? Where have you beeeeen??? If you haven't seen or heard about the new release blog hop head on over to the Challenge Blog and read what all the fuss is about. Judging by the comments on all the Ladybugs blogs, you've loved  the Love & Marriage release :-D
I made and sent this project to a good friend of mine who has been through the mill lately and I'm happy to say she loved it. Can you guess what it is?

I just love these MME papers. I matched the pp up with some Bazzill and Kraft cs. I printed the sentiment on the computer and cut it out with my Nesties. I stitched everything together (yes Marianne...more stitching lol) popped the sentiment up with dimensionals and made the gorgeous flower and leaf with my MFT and MCD dies adding a pearl brad to the centre with Glossy Accents(I cut off the legs of the brad)

Did you guess what it was? Well if you saw my candy you'd might have worked it's a calendar and notepad tin. I lined the inside of both the top and bottom of the tin with stitched Bazzil and stuck the calendar to the top. Before I stuck the notepad down, I made a pen holder out of a small looped piece of ribbon. It took me ages to find a pen that was small and narrow enough to fit the tins so the lide closed properly. All I can say is thank goodness for Google lol.

You might remember I made a similar calendar tin for one of my crops last year. Well I forgot and was going to make it for our crop tomorrow when my distant memory kept tapping away and the light bulb finally came on doh lol.

I've got 10 of the kits below and think they would make fabulicious gifts for Christmas. There's nothing nicer than receiving a hand crafted gift so if anyone is interested in purchasing a kit (papers etc not included) for £12 plus £1 towards
p & p, email me at

That's it for me for today.

Hope you have a great weekend :-D

Catch ya later x

This is a great idea Kerry! You could decorate it to match any decor and I love the sentiment you used, so encouraging.
