Get Krafty

We've another fabulicious challenge for you this fortnight but before I give you the details I want to thank everyone who entered our Photo Inspiration challenge. All the entries were stunning and the winners picked at random. If you want to see if you were one of the winners head on over to the Challenge Blog :-D

The challenge this week is one of my favourites....Get Krafty-Use Kraft Cardstock...brought to you by our Sally.

I ADORE kraft cs...my all time favourite is from Papertrey Ink. It's the perfect shade of kraft...not too light...not too dark and a great weight. The only downside is PTI charge a fortune to send their products to the UK. When I have friends or family coming to visit I always place an order for them to bring over ... where there's a will there's a way ;-D

I've used the rather gorgeous Hilary from the Skinny Malinky collection for my card. I just love these gals...they're such fun.

I am notoriously late with my cards. In fact I've still got baby cards to make from JULY!!! Hopefully I'll get them done for before they go to school lol. This belated card is only a few weeks late ;-D

I saw this LO on Jen's blog....I love her cards and we've been lucky enough to have her as a GD on a couple of occasions :-D

I printed, coloured and cut Hilary out (don't look too close!) I embossed the bottom piece of kraft cs with an 6 x 6 Embossalicious embossing folder I picked up at the Range at the weekend. I love that I can now cover a whole card with embossing instead of a small section. The folders also come as A4 and 8 x 8...perfect! I wrapped some twine around the embossed piece of cs before adding a button. On reflection I wish I'd moved the button to the right just a tad but I'd stuck it down with my hot glue gun before I realized hmph!

You can't see it but I added WOS to Hilary's earrings, band of her hat, bow on her dress, shoes and heart on her bag. IRL the twinkle is spectacular! I notice I've forgotten to add the Swarovski crystal between the loops of her bow so will do that before I send it.

I'll add the sentiment on the inside later :-D

Friends of ours became grandparents two weeks before we did and I finally got to meet Oliver on Friday. He is just so cute and was as good as gold unlike his new pal Coen lol!!!

The two grandma's and their boys :-D

We're having Coen overnight again tonight...really looking forward to it though he's got a bit of a cold and is snuffly so I hope he'll sleep through the night. I could have a lack of sleep hangover tomorrow lol

Right...I've some cards to make before my overnight guest arrives. I've been asked to take a table at a craft fair at our tennis club on December 1st and I've made 4 so I better get my skates on lol.

Thanks for stopping by

Catch ya later x
