Oh Baby Week 4 a little late

Hello peeps! Yes I'm late but I have a good explanation...I was abducted by aliens...actually that's a lie lol. After I posted on the challenge blog my laptop decided to play up then Coen and Nicole came by and that was it...Glam'mas attention was no longer on cards lol.

Coen is a week old today...can you believe it????!!! I made him a card ... I had an idea in mind and it ALMOST turned out like wanted :-D The main thing is that Nicole and Ben loved it...Nic even went as far as to say it was my best ever card lol. Not sure about that but I'll take it ;-D

I've used B is for Baby ... I actually started the card BEFORE Coen was born. I thought I'd get a head start and make the base card and do an image suitable for a boy and a  girl then all I'd have to do was attach the appropriate one when the baby was born. I printed the B on pink and blue pp and cut out the blue one first, no problem (don't look to close lol) But for the life of me I couldn't cut out the pink...I printed it 3 times and messed each one up...I'm now thinking it was a sign lol.

I cut out the heart with my Nestie then put it through my Ebosser with the button embossing folder. After coloring and paper piecing the B I centered it in the heart and stitched around it. I cut out buttons with my Die-namics button threading the holes with twine and gluing them to the card with my hot glue gun for a bit of dimension.

Hmmm...I think I'll be getting my magnifying glasses on the next time I decided to paper piece :-S From a distance it looks fab lol

I cut out buttons with my Die-namics button threading the holes with twine and gluing them to the card with my hot glue gun for a bit of dimension.

I wanted to cut out Coen's name but had sold all my alphabet dies...or so I thought. I had a light bulb moment, remembering I had a few Quick Kutz alphabets that I had planned on selling on Ebay...me thinks not now ... I love how his name turned out.

I embossed the bottom of the inside panel with the button folder but you can't really see it from this picture.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Artistic Inspirations - Paper Piecing/Piercing
Digi Makeover Challenge - Anything Goes
Whoopsi Daisy Challenge - White On White
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Paper Pretties - Embossing

I wouldn't be a proper Glam'ma if I didn't show you a picture of my gorgeous grandson so here you go....

Having a snooze on Great Grandma's shoulder

Yummy Mummy!

Thank you everyone for your congratulations and good wishes since Coen was born. Everything they say about being a grandma is true and I'm loving every minute. I can't get enough of this little guy...he is absolutely perfect though I reserve the right to retract that statement when he hits the Terrible Two's lol.

Coen Benjamin 3 days old

I am in love...pure and simple. Everything they say about being a grandparent is true. This little guy has brought us so much happiness and our lives have been turned upside down. My house is a tip, the ironing piled high and my craftroom neglected...would I have it any other way...nope lol. Here are a few of the gazillion pictures I've taken of Coen in the last 3 days!

I recently got 2 new FREE apps for my phone...this one is Instastitch...it's so easy to use. I think this is the closest I'll ever get to scrapbooking lol.

Mommy and Coen

Daddy and Coen

Not happy

Number one Grandpa!

This is the 2nd app...PS Express...it's brilliant and again FREE and easy to use.

Steven is feeling a little left out being away and asks for pictures every day. I've also taken a few videos which I'll share another time.

My next post will be a card...promise lol

Have a great weekend

Introducing....

My beautiful Grandson Coen Benjamin McLeod born Wednesday May 22 at 12:05 am 7 lbs 5 1/2 oz. Nicole was a superstar and I am so proud of her. She had a tough time and luckily I was asked to be in the labor suite with her and Ben. Unfortunately she had to be taken to theater for a forceps delivery and I was unable to go as only one could but I got to wait and hold him when they returned to the recovery room. Ben was fantastic and they are going to be amazing parents.

He's very long and has huge hands...I think he's going to be tall like his Uncle Steven

This was taken just after 1:30 am. I'd only had 2 hours sleep in 36 hours  but it was worth it...I just love him to bits.

I'm sure I will be posting pictures here regularly and I make no apologies for it lol.

Ready Teddy Go Midway Reminder

Happy Sunday! As I'm a sponsor for May's Ready Teddy Go Spring Has Sprung Challenge I have made another card for the midway reminder using Flower Billie...

I've been threatening to use my Prisma pencils for a while now so dusted them off and set to work. It's been a long while since I've used them which shows lol. I couldn't get the depth of colour I wanted without darkening the whole image. Then I went over the lines a couple of times and I've never worked out how to erase them. If anyone knows how can you let me know please :-D

The pink polka dot strip is tape. A humungous new Paperchase opened in town and I was passing with Nic, SIL and my niece when they were visiting a few weeks ago. I LOVE Paperchase and EVERYTHING inside....this store did not disappoint. They had a HUGE display of ribbon in every color imaginable and I wanted it so bad lol. I found the tape upstairs and restricted myself to one roll though could easily have bought 10. It's super easy to use and if you've placed it wrong it lifts easily and doesn't take anything with it or leave any sticky behind.

I made the clouds using a cut out of a cloud die, laying it down and lightly sponging blue ink, moving the cloud and repeating the sponging until your sky is created.

I printed the sentiment on my computer and trimmed to look like flags

I matched the flower to the tape strip by laying 4 strips of tape side by side on a piece of cs then cut the flower with a die. I added pink nailheads to the centre with my Kandi Kane

A strip of the tape with a piece of pp stuck on top finishes the inside :-D

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Inspire Me Fridays - Anything Goes
Simply Create Too - Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Wags 'n Whiskers - Anything Goes
Crafty Calender Challenge - Blooms & Blossoms
My Sheri Crafts - Flower Power
One Stop Craft Challenge - Anything Goes

ps as I typed this last night....no baby :-(

Baby.....where are you????

No sign of Baby McLeod yet though thought something might happen during the night as Nicole said her tummy felt full and tighter than usual. So far we've tried castor oil, hot baths, Nando's hot peri peri chicken, pineapple and 2 rounds of speed bumps and have had nothing but vomiting (castor oil) sweats and tingling lips (peri peri chicken) and tears of laughter (speed bumps)!!!!

At her hospital appointment on Wednesday the midwife said if she doesn't go herself they'll take her in on the 24th and induce her on the 25th....12 days overdue :-( Everybody please think happy thoughts of a safe delivery this weekend :-D

I've been having a bit of a clear out the last month or so. I've sold most of my beloved Penny Black stamps, all of my Papertrey Ink stamps as well as some Stampendous, Whippersnapper and Hero Arts though I still have hundreds left. I haven't used them in years and I thought it was someone else's turn to love them :-D

I came across a bag of 57 Promarkers...I just couldn't get the hang of them...and wondered if anyone would be interested in buying them (don't know why it took me until I bought 57 before I realized I couldn't get the hang of them when I knew after the first few!!!) The pens are virtually brand new...I'm guessing 1 hour colouring time if that and not all of them have been used so they're still very juicy. I'd like to sell them as a set for £50 plus postage...less than £1 each!!! For anyone who is just starting out this is a real bargain. If you're interested email me at ladybugcraftsink@aol.com

If anyone uses Lasting Impressions Brass Stencils I have over a hundred I'm trying to sell as well and if you're interested you can email me at the above address as well.

Hope you have a great weekend and fingers crossed baby comes SOON!!

Oh Baby week 2

I was hoping to give you some fabulicious news this morning but unfortunately there is no sign of a baby hmph! Nic was due yesterday but didn't have so much as a twinge hmph hmph!! She and Ben were over for dinner and Ruby never left Nic's side. Wherever she turned Ruby was there so it made us think that maybe she knew something was going to happen...or maybe not???

Anywho the waiting continues and so do the Baby Billie cards! This week I've used Twins....I just love this image. Let me know what you thunk...

I think it's pretty cute but it took time lol. I love the pp...it's from Forever Friends. I treated myself to the Boofle patchwork triboss folder I've used on the oval behind the twins. It was on sale in Hobby Craft for £3...a bargain :-D

I printed, colored and cut out the twins adding Glossy Accents and glitter to their hearts and Zig spica sparkle to the safety pins

A luscious felt flower and a twined button

I must have been leaning when took this picture :-S

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

TLT - Oh Baby - New Release

Thank you to everyone who entered our Red & White Challenge....your makes were fabulicous! Please check the Challenge Blog to see if you're one of the winners and if you are the overall challenge winner or the winner using an LCI image email me with your snail mail and I'll get your prize off to you asap!

I am sooooo excited about this release. Baby Billie was created to celebrate the imminent arrival of my grandkidlet. We have less than a week to due date but are hoping he/she arrives sooner as Nicole is ready to burst lol.

To celebrate, the challenge will last the month of May so there's plenty of time for you to make your baby cards. The DT and 2 GD's Jane and Lyndsey have been busy creating their makes and we hope they will inspire you with new ideas.

You can win one or more of the images by visiting the DT and GD's and leaving a comment on their posts. Each week you will find a new card/project on their blogs and they will be randomly choosing 2 commentors (is this even a word???) to win the image she has used the day before the next posting so make sure you check to see if it's you!!

Ok...if you're not excited then I sure am so if you're ready I'd like you to meet Baby Billie's Blanket....

Isn't she the cutest thing ever!!! I've kept this card super simple. I tried adding various embellishments but they just didn't look right. The itop brad turned out to be perfect.

I cut the white cs then scored the rectangle boxes before I used a text box in Word to type sentiment, inserted Billie's Blanket and moved it until I was happy with the positioning. I then colored Baby Billie with my Copics, paper pieced the blanket, colored the heart then added glitter for a bit of sparkle.

This card is for my friend's new grand-daughter Chiara who arrived safely on Sunday.

I've re-discovered my itop...love it! It's easy to make a brad to match your project :-D

A sneaky peek at the inside.

My fabby new signature stamp gifted to me by Ladybug Laurie for my birfday :-D

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Catered Crop - Embossing
Sentimental Sundays - Paper Piecing
Love to Scrap - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Pause, Dream Enjoy - Outdoor Critters
There She Goes - Paper Piecing

I hope you love Baby Billie as much as I do. The Ladybugs love to read your comments so please let us know your thoughts...remember...you could win one or more of the images if you do!!

Hopefully I'll have some amazing news to share with you soon....the birth of my grandkidlet :-D

Have a great Tuesday!

LCI Sponsors Ready Teddy Go!

Hello Peeps...I'm very late with my post today...I've been running around like a headless chicken this morning hmph!

Ladybug Sally asked if I would sponsor Ready Teddy Go's Spring has Sprung Challenge and of course I said yes. Here is my card....

I've used the gorgeous Watering Can Billie, coloring her with my Copics

I added pink nailheads to the center of the flowers and just a sprinkling of glitter on the petals

Make sure you head over to Ready Teddy Go to see the fabulicious cards that some of the DT have made using Billie Bear digi's. The rest of my day is as hectic as the first part so will have a look after dinner :-D
