Clean & Simple - See you in 2014

This post is scheduled from Sunday as I wasn't sure what condition I'd be in after my birfday celebrations yesterday lol. If I'm ok I'll add to this post later, if not I'll write a new one ;-D

Thank you to everyone who entered our Blue & White challenge. I must apologize to all of you as I never managed to comment...I've had such a busy couple of weeks. This is such a crazy time of year and I do appreciate the efforts you make to enter our challenges.

Today's challenge comes by our Lovely Ladybug Susan who has chosen Clean & Simple... I LOVE CAS. It's up there with Kraft and WOW.  I guess my card today falls into two of those categories lol.

This is the card I made for Nic's birthday last month....

What do you fink? Are you wondering where the image is??? Well it's the cupcake on the D. Are you thinking you haven't seen it before??? Well you have...it's part of the Through The Ages 18 image....I just shrunk the whole image and used the cupcake!!! That's what I love about digital images....they are so versatile.

The 'birthday' is a PTI die. I've cut it out of the white cs and pp and glued the pp birthday into the negative birthday. It's looks really cool IRL. The cupcake is only 2 cm high...somehow I managed to cut it out with losing the candle and fluff up the fluffy stuff!

Nic took this picture of Coen and I goofing around with his new puppet...twins separated at birth lol????

Thanks for stopping by today

OMG it's my Birfday!!!

Happy birfday to me,
happy birfday to me,
Happy birfday to me-eeeee
Happy birfday to ME!!!!

I cannot believe I've reached my HALF CENTURY birfday!!! How did that happen??? In my head I still think I'm 18 lol.

I hadn't made any plans for today except for going for lunch with Nic and Coen. Steven won't be coming home until next year and Ryan arrives next Saturday for Christmas, New Year and Coen's Christening in January. So I was surprised when I got a call from Nic last night (I'm typing this last night lol) telling me I had to be ready to leave the house at 7:45 AM. I don't get out of bed until 8 these days!!!

All sorts of things were going through my head...where on earth was I going at that silly hour...did I need my passport??? By the time you read this I will know and I can't wait to tell you all about it!!!

I made this card for myself 2 years ago so thought I'd bring it out again...

I'll randomly pick the winner of my Birfday candy tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by

Have a FABULICIOUS day

No cards but lots of pictures!

I never managed to get a midway reminder card made this week. In fact I haven't had a chance to make anything this week at all but I thought I'd show you what I did last Sunday.

Two teenage girls in my village have been raising money for Macmillan Research for 5 years now by holding coffee mornings in September or October...so far they've raised over £5000! This year they decided to hold a Christmas Fayre at our Tennis Club and asked if I would take a table. I jumped at the chance...especially as the Tennis Club was only three houses from mine! My only problem was I didn't have any stock so I spent the previous two weeks making cards, baking, making cards, baking lol. I tried to keep the cards simple with little or no colouring so I used a lot of dies with great results.

I never get anything crafty from my family for my birthday or Christmas. They say I have enough...they obviously are not crafters lol. Ladybug Julie made the fatal mistake of telling me about the Stampin' Up! Envelope Board and after doing a bit of 'research' on Pinterest and resisting for a few days decided I was going to treat myself to one for my birfday :-D It is THE best thing since sliced bread...FACT lol!!!

Wanna see what I made?? Scroll down....

Candy cane boxes...super easy to make and super cute. I used up a lot of pp that I've had for years and that can only be a good thing right.

I LOVE this. I saw a tutorial on Pinterest for this chocolate bar envelope with the Christmas Fudge poem and knew I wanted to make some for the Fayre. Again it was super easy and were very popular. A lady on the table next to me asked if I would supply some for her sweet shop!!!! I can easily adapt the poem for birthday fudge and think they would be great for men too! This one holds a 200g bar.

Christmas Poop!

I bought the individual cupcake boxes in Poundland...6 in a pack and they are great quality.

This was my first attempt at Coconut Ice and it was gorgeous. I also made salty caramels, cupcakes and Rice Krispie squares with mini red and green smarties.

It was a great day...I sold quite a bit, made a small profit and the girls raised over £1200 on the day!!!!

Here are a few of the latest pictures I've taken of Coen...he'll be 7 months old on the 22nd!! He loves bouncing in his jungle thingy but has no interest in rolling over and hates being on his tummy!!! I wonder if he's going to go from sitting straight to walking :-O

There's still time to enter my Birfday Candy competition. I now have 47 crafty bits in a box with 3 more to add which one lucky person can win. All you have to do is leave a comment on the post above and sometime on my birfday on Monday I will draw the winner!!!

Thanks for stopping by...hope you have a brilliant weekend.

Blue & White Colour Combo Challenge

Whoosh!!!! Another fortnight has flown by...I don't even want to think about what's around the corner...one starts with a B and the other C!!!!

Welcome back for some more fun!!!  Hope you can play along as we've got another great challenge for you! It's fabtastic to see so many of you creating with us...keep them coming! To see if you were one of the winners of our Get Krafty challenge make sure you pop over to the Challenge Blog.

This week's challenge is Blue & White Colour Combo..you might be hard pressed to find blue in my card so put your glasses on and look real close lol.

Can you see the blue lol??? I've used Snowman Chorus from the Snowman Delight Collection and my fabtastic new Memory Box window die. I've been desperate to use it and although I'm pleased with the way it's turned out I think there's something missing like rolling hills behind the snowmen. I was a bit pressed for time but I won't bore you with all that...yet lol

Yup...there's the blue ;-D

Nicole, Coen and I were in Ikea recently (you gotta just love that store) and as we got to the checkout there were loads of wire baskets filled with stuffed animals. Nic put Coen in with the elephants and as you can see he had a great time and was well looked after lol.

I took this when we were out for a walk in Rouken Glen park. I used to take Rocky and Ruby there but Rocky would get a bit excited when he saw children running, riding their scooters or kicking a ball and would chase them thinking they wanted to play. After a couple of unpleasant incidences I decided to find somewhere else to walk them.

I hadn't been there in long time and it was great to be back. They have a lovely cafe that sits across from a huge pond and has been taken over by new owners ... the coffee is just perfect!

Coen is officially 6 months old and has TWO bottom teeth!!!!

I've got a lot on this week so I'll love you and leave you. Apologies for not commenting but I hope to get back to normal next week.

Get Krafty Midway Reminder

Apologies for being tardy...I've had a busy old time since I last posted. Three (yup THREE) overnights with my handsome grandson and trying to make cards for a craft fair I took a table at on December 1st. Of course with Coen is around everything gets dropped so I'm forever playing catch up. Of course it's worth it but I wish I could find another 6 hours in a day!

My card was made in time...it sure was...just couldn't find the time to post it ;-D

I've used one of my favourite images from the Floral Delight digi Collection called Home Tweet Home. I printed it on PTI cs and coloured it with my Copics then added clouds with a diecut, blue inkpad and sponge. I LOVE making clouds :-D I embossed the whole card blank with an A4 Embossalicious embossing folder ....I love these folders as well as the 6 x 6 size and 8 x 8. As long as I can emboss a whole card I'm happy :-D

You can see how the whole card is embossed...love it!

I'm going to tell you something now that might just shock you....Coen will be 6 months old on Sunday!!! I know...how did that happen??? I took these pictures at the weekend....

Isn't he just cute! Rocky loves Coen and was quite happy to have him perched on his neck...under the watchful eye of his grandpa of course.

I think that's all from me...don't forget about my birfday candy above.  Grab the banner and spread the news. All you need to do is leave a little ol' comment in the post and you could win 50 crafty things from my stash!!!!

Get Krafty

We've another fabulicious challenge for you this fortnight but before I give you the details I want to thank everyone who entered our Photo Inspiration challenge. All the entries were stunning and the winners picked at random. If you want to see if you were one of the winners head on over to the Challenge Blog :-D

The challenge this week is one of my favourites....Get Krafty-Use Kraft Cardstock...brought to you by our Sally.

I ADORE kraft cs...my all time favourite is from Papertrey Ink. It's the perfect shade of kraft...not too light...not too dark and a great weight. The only downside is PTI charge a fortune to send their products to the UK. When I have friends or family coming to visit I always place an order for them to bring over ... where there's a will there's a way ;-D

I've used the rather gorgeous Hilary from the Skinny Malinky collection for my card. I just love these gals...they're such fun.

I am notoriously late with my cards. In fact I've still got baby cards to make from JULY!!! Hopefully I'll get them done for before they go to school lol. This belated card is only a few weeks late ;-D

I saw this LO on Jen's blog....I love her cards and we've been lucky enough to have her as a GD on a couple of occasions :-D

I printed, coloured and cut Hilary out (don't look too close!) I embossed the bottom piece of kraft cs with an 6 x 6 Embossalicious embossing folder I picked up at the Range at the weekend. I love that I can now cover a whole card with embossing instead of a small section. The folders also come as A4 and 8 x 8...perfect! I wrapped some twine around the embossed piece of cs before adding a button. On reflection I wish I'd moved the button to the right just a tad but I'd stuck it down with my hot glue gun before I realized hmph!

You can't see it but I added WOS to Hilary's earrings, band of her hat, bow on her dress, shoes and heart on her bag. IRL the twinkle is spectacular! I notice I've forgotten to add the Swarovski crystal between the loops of her bow so will do that before I send it.

I'll add the sentiment on the inside later :-D

Friends of ours became grandparents two weeks before we did and I finally got to meet Oliver on Friday. He is just so cute and was as good as gold unlike his new pal Coen lol!!!

The two grandma's and their boys :-D

We're having Coen overnight again tonight...really looking forward to it though he's got a bit of a cold and is snuffly so I hope he'll sleep through the night. I could have a lack of sleep hangover tomorrow lol

Right...I've some cards to make before my overnight guest arrives. I've been asked to take a table at a craft fair at our tennis club on December 1st and I've made 4 so I better get my skates on lol.

Photo Inspiration Midway Reminder

I'm a bit late today sorry. Been super busy and have to fit crafting in around everything at the moment. Had a nice visit with the in-laws last week then Coen's Halloween party which was a hoot! BFF and her hubby were up from England for a works night out so we went out for the day on Saturday to the Range. We had verbal diarrhea as we hadn't seen each other for a couple of years lol.

We had our first proper overnight with Coen Saturday till Sunday...it was brilliant but I'm so glad I started my family when I was 20. By the time Nic took him home Sunday night I was pooped lol.

We're on week two of our Photo Inspiration Challenge...

and here's my card....

I've used one of the new Skinny Malinky's, Babs. I just love her hairband. I've got a friend who used to wear big hairbands like this years ago and she kinda reminds me of her. I printed Babs onto PTI white cs and coloured her with my Copics. A lot of my Copics are drying out and I'm not a happy camper :-( I don't get to use them as much as I used to so maybe that's the problem. Do you like the Birthday sentiment? Apart from being a bit crooked I love it. It's a PTI die and I had a quick play with it over the weekend (Coen allowing lol) and I think it may be my favourite...for now ;-D I added GA to the umbrella and Bab's wellies and WOS to her hairband and scarf.

I'm really going to have to stop taking closeup pictures or get new glasses so I make sure I colour in the lines :-O I might have to invest in one of those magnifier lamp thingamajigs.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Challenge 4 Everyone - Anything Goes
Card Mania - Anything Goes
Lexi's Creations - Birthday
Love To Scrap! - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Anything Goes

I've had a bit of a dilemma trying to choose which picture of Coen to show you this week so be prepared...there's one or 5 for you to see lol.

Here he is at his party before his 12 guests and their moms arrived. There was one little boy aged 17 months old the rest were under 9 months!!!! They were actually very good though got pretty loud at times lol.

My little pumpkin

Mooma and Pooperman!! Notice Coen is sans his Superman costume...hence I renamed him Pooperman lololololol

This is  my favourite picture of Coen....I took it with my new phone. I've got it as my screen saver and keep pressing the button to see it lol.

I took this picture Saturday night...OMG he's going to kill me when he's older. Mr Moobs ROFL!!

That's if for me today.... It's hubby's birthday and I'm going to make
him a cake :-D

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.

Picture It! Photo Inspiration Challenge

Morning!!! How are you all? Are you ready for a new challenge? Before I tell you about it I want to say a big thank you to everyone who entered our Anything Goes Challenge ... we had an amazing amount of stunning entries. Make sure you head over to the Challenge Blog to see if you were one of the winners :- D

This fortnight's challenge was chosen by Lisa who has sadly stepped down from the DT for a break but we hope to welcome her soon :-D

Lisa has chosen a Photo Inspiration Challenge...something I struggle with! I'm looking forward to seeing your interpretation of the picture below.

I am still on a Skinny Malinky high and decided to use Kera...she is so classy and sophisticated....a bit like me....not lololol! Anyway...here she is...let me know what you think...

It's my SIL's birthday next week and thought it would be a good idea to be on time for a change ;-D I printed Kera on PTI white cs and coloured her with my Copics. I added Glossy Accents to her glasses and a couple of her bags as well as some glitter. I wanted a large orange button and after a bit of digging found a packet of brand new self adhesive ones I bought about 7 years ago....see, I KNEW I needed them lol. I also bought a pack of purple ones so keep your eye out for those ;-D

I added white dots to the green bag with my Inkssentials pen but I'm not happy with it's performance. If anyone has a white pen they swear by can you let me know please.

I really like the way the card turned out and I hope SIL will like it too.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Die Cuttin Divas - Anything Goes Use a Die (scallop border)
Deep Ocean Challenge - Button up!
Divas by Design - Use Some Orange
Whimsy Stamps Challenge - Anything Goes

MIL and FIL are over at the moment. They haven't seen Coen since July and are totally besotted with him. SIL (who the b'day card is for) sent the bear hat Coen is wearing below... so cute!!!

His big cousin Ciara sent him the little vampire outfit he's wearing below. Don't worry, he doesn't have any makeup on...I altered it with the app on my phone. He just happened to have his mouth open like a vampire when Nic too the picture lol.

That's all I have for you today. Make sure you check out the DT and GD stunning makes. Oh before I forget... after GD's Chris and Kath begged and sent a rather large cheque, I have agreed to let them stay on...fantastic!!!

New Release Skinny Malinky's Part 2

OH MY WORD!! What a plonker or should I say Malteser (dark on the outside blonde inside) lol!!!! Just as well I'm the boss...it could have got ugly rofl.

Ok...here it is...what you've been holding your breath for (not tee hee).... heeeeerrrreeeeee'ssss
BERNIE!!!!!

Was she worth the wait??? I think so though will make sure I read my notes properly in future ;-D As always I coloured the printed image with my Copics. I haven't used my sewing machine in a while so dusted it off and stitched the image to orangey brown cs (note to self: when choosing cs for mounting make sure you have enough for the inside too :-S ) and the pp before sticking it to the card front. I printed the sentiment on the computer, cut it out my with Die-namics fishtail banner dies and fixed it to the image panel with brads. A bit of glitter and WOS and card was done phew!!!

oooh...dodgy colouring on Bruce the dog :-( I added clouds with a cloud cut out die, sponge and ink

Notice the different shade of orange on the inside doh!!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Artistic Inspiration - Anything Goes
Lady Anne's Challenges - Autumn/Fall
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Sparkle N Sprinkle - Anything Goes with Glitter, Embossing Powder and/or Flocking
Use Your Stuff - Color Challenge - use Orange, Green & Brown
Perfectly Rustics - Patterned Paper

Remember you can win ALL 12 Skinny Malinky digi images ...you can read how on the Challenge Blog

We were at a 18th birthday party at the weekend in Manly. It was a great night and there were a few sore heads in the morning except mine ;-D The only one that was bright as a button was Coen lol. I took this picture of him sitting unaided though Grandpa was beside him just in case ;-D

I know I'm biased but he's such a cutie :-D
