Aren't I lucky....being Canadian and living in Scotland I get to celebrate Mother's Day twice...one in March and one today!!! It gives my boys a backup if they've forgotten the first one lol.
I love my mom...she's the best. We are great friends and we always have a laugh. I woke to a text message from my sister last Monday saying mom had taken unwell at church and was taken by ambulance to the hospital but was later released. My mom is NEVER ill apart from the odd cold and the usual ailments that comes with age so it was a bit of a shock and being so far away, worrying. I was preparing myself for booking a flight home but thought if I showed up she'd think she was going to pop her clogs which thankfully wasn't the case lol. When I finally got to speak to mom she sounded great and was a relief. She does suffer from an extra couple of heart beats and she'd been doing extra volunteer work (dad has put his foot down and told her she's to put herself first for a change and banned her for the time being lol). Although she had tests recently and got the all clear the hospital want her to go for more.
My sister took this picture after she brought mom home from the hospital. It was reassuring to see mom looking so well and I hope I look this good when I'm 75!!
I made my mom a card but can't show it to you just yet ;-D But I do have a card I made for Sadie...some of you know she's like a surrogate mom to me. I hope you like it.
I've used Hydrangea digital image from Floral Delight 3. I've coloured it with my Copics and cut it out in a Hexagon Nestie to match my MFT Mini Chicken Wire die. I cut out 2 different pp's and made a pretty pattern for a background. Twine, a button and a bit of glitter finished it off.
Don't forget we have a new release on Tuesday. The DT have been super busy creating up a storm and there will be lots of prizes so we hope you'll join us on the 13th :-D
I hope you're having a great Mother's Day and being spoiled!
Catch ya later x

Really love your card. The special background is just lovely, as is the image!
Gorgeous Kerry - love this image and the chicken wire cover plate looks great with the DP.
Your mum looks fantabulous and pleased it went okay at the hospital.
There is something missing from your post though - where's Coen's corner?? xxx
Kerry your card looks gorgeous... and so does your Mum! You are kidding us, she cannot possibly be 75!!!
xx
Fabulous card, Kerry, and you mum also looks fabulous. I hope she's doing fine. We got quite a scare early March when my husband was diagnosed with a heart problem when he went to the medical centre to have his lungs checked (because he remained tired after having had a cold). Since then, things have been moving fast. It turned out his aortic valve needed replacing and he was operated on the 24th of April. He came home a week later and is now well on his way to recovery.
Lovely photo of your Mum, you look so alike :)
Fab card, love the colours and your colouring
