Another week another midweek reminder...it will be Christmas before you know it ...oops...sorry for saying the C word rofl.
I have a confession...I haven't crafted in a couple of weeks...been so busy looking after Coen and then recovering lol. I must say I LOVE being a grandma and LOVE looking after him but boy it's tiring...I need the next day to recover. I've been struggling with that part of it cuz in my head I'm still 18 but my body is reminding me I'm 50 ! Boy...you'd think I was 80 or something lol. With that in mind...I hadn't crafted not I was 80...I wanted to make a QUICK card for today's reminder. The only way I could achieve that was not to colour the image. So that took me to black and white and since I didn't have any black and white pp I had a looky on Etsy and found some fab digital papers, downloaded them and before you know it my card was made!!!
Here it is...let me know what you think....
Ryan passed his driving test in LA last week and I thought First Car Josh was perfect for a card for him. I printed Josh...mounted him on black cs, printed the diagonal check pp and mounted it on black cs. I made a little 'quilt' of other pp from the collection and punched flags using my fabby banner punch from Stampin' Up! I curled the flags, glued the corners together attaching string at the ends (a tip from QOB aka Ladybug Julie) and finally added gunmetal nailheads between the flags then added it to the card. I still haven't decided if I'm going to add a sentiment or not as I've already congratulated him on the inside...we'll see.
Here's a closer look at the pp ... the flag on the end is the same as the large pp behind the image but on a smaller scale.
Tuesday wouldn't be Tuesday with a picture of my little monkey. Coen went to his first birthday party at the weekend....twin girls he used to go to Rhythm Time class with. In fact he was the only boy there!!! The twins mom had the girl from RT come to entertain the kids...we beat drums, shook maracas and tambourine's and sung and swayed ... well I did anyway lol. It was good fun and all the kids loved it.
I didn't manage to get a picture from the party but here's one I took the day before....I think he might be fed up of Grandma taking his picture and was trying to grab my phone lol.
Another little video with Grandpa being a terrible tease!
That's it from me for today...I think Coen and I might go for a nice walk as the weather is supposed to be dry and sunny!
Thanks for stopping by,
Catch ya later x

I LOVE the card and your little Grandson, is such a joy to see.
What a brilliant idea, Kerry! The image looks great left uncoloured and it saves a LOT of time! Fab design and bunting, black and white is always so striking!!
Coen is such a photogenic little cutie... it's hard to believe that looking after a little sweetheart like him can be so exhausting, but believe me, I know it is!!!!

I think that this looks fabulous, a brilliant idea, this image would be a colouring nightmare for me.
Poor Coen, think Grandpa should have had his hands slapped. Next time you serve him something on a plate you should put the plate down and then keep whipping it away from him.

OK, Coen is MUCH MORE patient with Grandpa than I would be - LOL; he's such a great baby!!!
LOVE the card; those flags are fab; love the use of the digital paper on a smaller scale - very nice! Love the image in black and white - completely CAS but so awesome!!
Fantastic card Kerry!! Love it!!
