One more sleep!

Well blow me timber...what a lot of wind we're having today! Apparently there has been 130mph winds recorded up north in Fort William and for the second time my poor BBQ has been blown across the patio!

I had a great day yesterday. I  met up with my friend Jean who I haven't seen for a good couple of months. I got the 9:03 train into town and we met in Darcy's in Princess Square for some brunch. Jean's train came in later than mine so while I was waiting I asked for a coffee and look how it arrived....

Isn't that milk bottle just the cutest

Jean arrived and we ordered...scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and toast for me and scrambled eggs and toast for Jean and a pot of tea. Look how it arrived...

A little mini tea cosy lol...and wait for it....

Brunch!! I can tell you right now it was absolutely yummalicious!

We had a good catch up then I had an appointment at the hairdressers which I'd been desperately needing...last professional cut and colour? September!!!! I was trying a new girl which is always quite nerve wracking but Sara was brilliant...told me what she thought would suit me, colour etc and 3 hours later and 4 inches shorter (my hair that is lololol) I walked away with a new 'do'. It kinda got blown about today so not so springy (I'm still talking about my hair) but it still looks pretty good....just got to get used to it being so much shorter!

Jean's hubster has had his 4th hip replacements..no he doesn't have 4 hips ...but unfortunately had to get his replacements replaced. I made him a card and this is what I came up with...

I decided to go for the less is more approach after Tuesdays everything but the kitchen sink card lol. I was having a bit of a mojo blip so took a wander over to Jeanie's blog for a bit of inspiration...she does less is more brilliantly! It was just what I needed and kick started me into action. I printed Cat Flu Magnum and coloured him in with my Copics. I embossed a strip of cs, mounted it and sewed it to the main panel of pp and cs mount. Sewed the image to a mount then raised it with sticky fixers, added a button and sentiment and voila! Done in less than 2 hours which is some kind of record for me these days lol.

Do you like? I hope it cheers Jim up a bit :-D
