Chris's Monochrome Challenge - Killer Heels

Good morning and welcome to a new challenge. Thank ewe to EVERYONE who played along with our Anything Goes/N'ewe Release challenge. Entries were aplenty and if you want to see if ewe're a winner of one of the many prizes on offer skeddadle along to the Challenge Blog

This post is picture heavy...more so than usual lol so you might want to put the kettle on if you have time ;-D

I have a confession...I didn't have time to make a card for today's challenge what with Coen's birthday celebrations and Mil and Fil visiting BUT I do have a card....lucky for me it was monochrome!! I can't remember if I've blogged it or not (couldn't find it in the archives but that's not to say it's not there lol) but hopefully not. I will have another card for you later this week to make up for
 it :-)

The Ladybugs are using images from the Killer Heels Collection and I've used Killer Platforms. Once upon a time I MIGHT have been able to wear heels this high but not any more. Can you picture me chasing Coen around in platforms lol???

I printed the image in the bottom right corner and coloured it with my Copics. I've liberally added glitter (they cry out to be glittered!) ... I think you can actually see the sparkle in these pictures...and Glossy Accents to the handle of the handbag.  Blue Zircon Swarovski Crystals on the bag clasp and corners add even more bling and the twine and sentiment finish the whole thing off!

Bling-tastic!!!

I've used a Nestability die for the tags after printing the sentiments on the computer

Finally I mirrored the image on the inside without colouring it but added a crystal to the bag.

I hope you like it.

Now for Coen's Birthday Corner!

Top left is when Coen first woke up. The other two he's wearing the shorts and t-shirt we bought him

I'm not going to smile...ok a little one...how about a hearty one...can you see my teeth???
Having a sip of champagne...actually no alcohol passed his lips..honest lol

My gorgeous girl

The cake...he didn't seem very impressed with it lol

After lunch we went to the Science Centre...this was his favourite thing there

That's it from me you'll be glad to hear lol. Hope you have a great Tuesday and look forward to seeing your entries to our Monochrome challenge.

Here's a little reminder of the images...

Happy Anniversary Nic & Ben!

I hope you've all had a great long weekend :-D

I've got another can-you-believe-it moment for you. Can you believe it's been two years since Nic and Ben got married???!!!! I can't but the pictures say it's true lol....

My favourite picture on their wedding day

and one from Coen's birthday last week...food on the face and all lol

I made them a card last night and of course HAD to use Ewe & Me from the Eunice & Ramsay release ;-D

I've used Pink Petticoat digital papers for the main card and heart. I printed Ewe & Me, coloured it and cut it out before adding Fluffy Stuff and a tiny Swarovski crystal to the centre of Eunice's flower. The embossed hearts are a Sizzix embossing folder

You can just about see the glitter I added to Eunice's wool before fluffing it up...she looks so purdy lol

I've seen a lot of cards with sentiments on vellum and thought I'd give it a try. I wasn't sure if I had the right printer for the job but it worked perfectly...the ink dried within seconds :-D

Here's the inside... I'll send the first person Ewe & Me if they leave a comment telling me the mistake I've made. Hint: you can only see it in this picture.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Brown Sugar Challenge - Anything Goes
Craftitude - Anything Goes/Use a die
Crafty Catz - Embossing
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog - Dies and/or punches
OSAAT - Anything Goes

That's it from me...I've got a 'to do' list a mile long that doesn't seem to be getting any shorter!

Happy Birthday Coen!

Happy birfday to you
Happy birfday to you
Happy birfday dear Co-ennnnnnnnn
Happy birfday to youuuuuuuuuuu!!!!

Can you believe it's been a year ... a WHOLE year since Coen was born? I'm still in shock lol. Especially when I look back at pictures when he was first born....he has changed so much. I had to stop myself from posting every picture I've taken of him...I think it would have been the longest post in the history of blogging lol. I've made do with 2 but will post pictures from his birthday lunch at The Boat House Cafe in Rouken Glen next change I get. His G'gma and G'gpa arrived from Ireland yesterday for the celebrations as well as his big cousin Ciara and his mummy's best friend Alanna from Italy. I think there will be a few other friends joining us :-D

Love love LOVE this little guy {sigh}

Of course I made Coen a card...how could I not?? I LOVED making his card...

I've used Billie is One (buttons) from the Through The Ages Collection. I love Billie full stop... she is just so cute. I paper pieced the number, used Fluffy Stuff on the cupcake frosting , Glossy Accents on the candle and hanging heart and glitter on the flame and Billie's heart. I used an MFT die for the bunting (I think I impressed QOB lol) with 3mm Gunmetal Nailheads in between the flags and also an MFT alphabet for Coen's name. The pp is Echo Park Boy Dots & Stripes...I LOVE this pad.

The buttons have been in my stash for years

I hope you have a great Thursday and happy birfday to you if it's your special day today too!

N'ewe Release Midway Reminder

Remember I told you the other week there were 16 Eunice & Ramsay images in the collection but only 11 were shown last week? Well the remaining 5 will be shown today by 5 of the DT so make sure you keep your eyes peeled.

If you can name them here (the images not the DT lol) in this post by Thursday 22nd I'll pick a random name to win the 5 images!!

Don't forget, if you would like to win ALL 16 images leave a comment on each of the DT blogs AND the challenge blog. We'll pick the winners at random and include them in Monday nights post on the Challenge Blog

My card for today is using one of the 5 images and she's called Cheesy...

There are so many sentiments that could go with that cheesy smile...I 'borrowed' Ewe got me at hello from QOB :-D I thought I'd go with a brown faced Eunice with this card and of course my favourite Fluffy Stuff for her wool. I love how you get a different look with FS every time. I kept her body wool white but added glitter to her bangs for a bit of sparkle. If you look close you can see a tiny Swarovski crystal in the centre of the flower. I even did a bit of stitching on this card...something I haven't been doing lately.

I have been super busy this past week and haven't had the chance to play with Eunice. This week is busy too with MIL & FIL arriving tomorrow until Saturday for Coen's birthday. I'm going to print up some images in the hope I can sneak off and do a bit of colouring lol.

As with most Coen's Corner I struggle to just show you one picture. Today is no different. Lucky for you I managed to get 4 in one picture lol....

I had Coen 5 days and 2 nights last week...my longest stint yet!!! I think Nic and Ben are getting me ready for the week in the summer when they're going to Italy for a wedding for a week and leaving his nibs with us lol. I am a bit of a photo junky...I get it from my Grandpa who used to take a gazillion pictures and we had to sit through his slide shows (remember those???). Lucky for Coen he doesn't have to do that...yet lol.

Coen & I went to Rouken Glen on Friday and parked ourselves in the Walled Garden. He stood for ages playing with his favourite V-tech police car. He was fascinated with the gravel...think it was his first time walking on it...and kept stomping on it to hear the noise.

Another day and again with his favourite car

We were at James Heritage park here when I took this selfie. At least I was happy lol

Thanks for stopping by today...I'll be posting later in the week!

N'ewe Release - Eunice & Ramsay - Anything Goes!!!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!! I'm so excited I can't stand it lol. It feels like this day has been a long time coming but it's finally here and we can show you our n'ewe Eunice & Ramsay Collection. I'm sure you have worked it out that Eunice and Ramsay are sheep and the Ladybugs and I have had a great time playing with the images.

There are 16 images in total but only 11 are being showcased this week with the remaining 5 next week and they are available from today at £1.75 each. We have our usual prizes for the winner of the overall challenge, winner using an LCI image and the Top 3 but we also have an amazing prize of the 16 Eunice & Ramsay images for one lucky person and 5 winners of 2 images of their choice!!! All you have to do to win the whole collection is comment on all the Ladybug Blogs as well as the Challenge blog...an unofficial blog hop really lol.

We have a super talented Guest Designer with us for the n'ewe release...Cass Stomboli of  Pour Some Sugar On Me. Please make sure you give her plenty of Ladybug love when you visit her blog.

Ok time for my card! I've used the super cute image You Flock My World...

Was I right or was I right..super cute! I printed You Flock My World, coloured it with my Copics and created the clouds using my Papertrey Ink cloud die, placing the die cut, lightly sponging blue ink around the curves, moving the die cut, sponging, moving the die cut etc. I LOVE making clouds :-D I used Fluffy Stuff for the wool and added a Swarovski pearl to the centre of Eunice's flower.

Isn't the wool fab!

Well, what do you think?

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

TTCRD - Anything Goes
Digistamps4Joy SA - Anything Goes
Penny's Challenges - Anything Goes
Ruby's Rainbow - Animals
Scrapper's Delight - Anything Goes

Tuesday wouldn't be the same without Coen's Corner. We went to visit my friend Karen on Friday afternoon and her daughter Sophie gifted a ginormous teddy to Coen. To say he loved it was an understatement...I'm just glad it's not staying in my house lol.

I think he's finally got the hang of walking...

I'm going to tell you something now that might just shock you so I hope you're sitting down. Ready? Coen is going to be ONE next week!!!! How did that happen? The last year has been tough for all sorts of reasons but this little guy has made our hearts so happy. All he has to do is smile and he lights up a room...he is the love of our lives :-D

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you like the n'ewe release and will join in our Anything Goes challenge.

Happy Mother's Day!

Aren't I lucky....being Canadian and living in Scotland I get to celebrate Mother's Day twice...one in March and one today!!! It gives my boys a backup if they've forgotten the first one lol.

I love my mom...she's the best. We are great friends and we always have a laugh. I woke to a text message from my sister last Monday saying mom had taken unwell at church and was taken by ambulance to the hospital but was later released. My mom is NEVER ill apart from the odd cold and the usual ailments that comes with age so it was a bit of a shock and being so far away, worrying. I was preparing myself for booking a flight home but thought if I showed up she'd think she was going to pop her clogs which thankfully wasn't the case lol. When I finally got to speak to mom she sounded great and was a relief. She does suffer from an extra couple of heart beats and she'd been doing extra volunteer work (dad has put his foot down and told her she's to put herself first for a change and banned her for the time being lol). Although she had tests recently and got the all clear the hospital want her to go for more.

My sister took this picture after she brought mom home from the hospital. It was reassuring to see mom looking so well and I hope I look this good when I'm 75!!

I made my mom a card but can't show it to you just yet ;-D But I do have a card I made for Sadie...some of you know she's like a surrogate mom to me. I hope you like it.

I've used Hydrangea digital image from Floral Delight 3. I've coloured it with my Copics and cut it out in a Hexagon Nestie to match my MFT Mini Chicken Wire die. I cut out 2 different pp's and made a pretty pattern for a background. Twine, a button and a bit of glitter finished it off.

Don't forget we have a new release on Tuesday. The DT have been super busy creating up a storm and there will be lots of prizes so we hope you'll join us on the 13th :-D

I hope you're having a great Mother's Day and being spoiled!

Easel Midweek Reminder

Good morning! Hope you all had a good long weekend :-D

Time for my midweek reminder though I'm a little bit tardy. I decided to make a twisted easel card...I've made one or two before and they are pretty easy peasy.

I've used Catflap Magnum...I just love his expression lol. I'm not sure who the pp is from...I've had it for years. I used to buy my pp in 5's ... one to use, one just in case and the other 3 were just in case the just in case sheet got used up lol. Believe me when I tell you I could open a store just for pp!!

I've got a little video of Coen today...I think he's almost got the walking thing sorted. He still hasn't rolled over or crawled BUT he does pivot lol.

Well that's my brief post for today...I've got a list a mile long that needs to be done by Friday and I've only got nap time to do it over the next few days!!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by
