Swing Billie

This is going to be a short post as I'm getting ready to head off to Rome with Sadie at stupid o'clock tomorrow morning and I have a gazillion things to do. Obviously almost getting swept away by a tsunami (ok, medium wave lol) in Spain last year and missing our bus to the airport for our return journey because I thought we had another day didn't put Sadie off asking me to be her companion once again!!! I don't think she realized it was Easter Sunday or could have forseen a new Pope installed when she booked the trip last month. I'm thinking of getting her microchipped in case she wanders off ... you might just read about a pensioner wandering around the Vatican in the papers lol.

Ok, here's my card using Swing Billie...I just love this image :-D

Cute huh? I can't get enough of Billie...I could sit and color her all day :-D

My favourite texture of the moment....burlap

And a sneak peek inside.

I'm glad you stopped by today...I hope you all have a wonderful Easter...don't eat too much chocolate!!

TLT - New Billie Bear Release - Anything Goes

I hope you are keeping warm wherever you are. It is absolutely baltic here in Scotland though we are lucky and have power. There are thousands up north and in Northern Ireland that haven't had any since Friday!!!! I am really bored with this weather and it's just not right at this time of year. This time last year I was outside ironing wearing shorts!

Enough of my moaning and onto today's news and challenge. We had a huge amount of fabulicious entries for our Spring Challenge...they certainly cheered me up :-D Make sure you skip on over to the Challenge Blog to see if you were one of the winners.

As the title and banner say we have a new release today!!! I think I am more excited than a kid at Christmas...have been for the last week with the DT and GD emailing me their cards. As usual for a new release, I'm the only one that gets to see the images so they get a surprise :-D We have 4 Guest Designers for our release...Jane, Gaynor, Alison and Lucy. Please give them plenty of Ladybug love when you visit :-D

There are 16 images in total including the already released Valentine Billie and they are available to purchase from today at £1.75 each.

Are you ready??? I can't hear you lol!! Ok...enough teasing, here is my card...

I've used Tea Party Billie and she has a friend, Ellie (very original snort!). I just LOVE this image and had great fun coloring it with my Copics. I found these papers...think they're Dove Craft but don't quote me on it...my memory is horrendous these days. The heart banner die is by La La Land which was sold out in the UK but I managed to track a couple from Frantic Stamper in the US and the burlap heart is cut from a DieNamics die

I THINK I made this sentiment up but I'm sure there's something similar out there.

I've used 3mm pink nailheads in between each flag and even manipulated them to look like they were flapping in the wind. QOB will be proud lol.

This has been one of my favourite releases and I hope you like it too. There is no blog hop or competition but if you leave a comment on my blog telling me why you like Billie I'll randomly choose someone to win 6 of the new images!

Have a fabulicious Tuesday!

EDIT:  OOPS...I realized last night when I was uploading the DT cards to the Challenge Blog that I had given the same image to 2 Ladybugs and I couldn't not show you the complete Billie collection today. Luckily I had made a card using Birthday Billie for Steven's birthday back in February so as an added Kerry bonus here's a second card for you ...

I know Steven was 22 on his birthday but I couldn't resist making his card using Birthday Billie lol. His birthday was after he arrived in Dubai so I didn't see his expression when he opened it but he did assure me that he loved it...awwwww!

Awwwwww

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Creative Creations Challenges - The Letter B (button, bear, bunting) (top card)

Midweek Reminder - Spring

It's that time again...midweek reminder to let you know you have one more week to enter your fabulicious cards and projects to our Spring challenge on our Challenge Blog and can I say you've been mighty busy lol.

I made a card for Sadie for Mother's Day as I always do. I've known her for about 27 years and she's been like a surrogate mom to me :-D Although she is registered blind (totally in one eye and periferal in the other) she said she loved it and was the best one yet lol. Let me know what you think...

I think when I PS'd the image I over exposed it a bit as it's much brighter and sunnier IRL. Ladybug Laurie made a gorgeous scalloped circle card here and I thought I would have a go. Not really the best idea at 10 pm on the night before I'm going to see Sadie :-S After a bit of a fiddle I thought I got the proportions right...until I tried to find an envelope to fit it lol. Another one of those OOPS! moments!! Didn't think she'd notice the brown envelope ... did she heck...of course she did so it's white envelopes for Sadie from now on ;-D

After I coloured up the image and finished the card I realized I hadn't released it...oops!!! It was too late to start again so The Three Vases is now available to buy in the Floral Delight Too collection on the website

I found a jute flower I'd made a while back so used it under a rolled flower adding a pearl to the center.

The sparkle on these vases is off the charts! I used Glossy Accents then sprinkled Glamour Dust liberally over top and added a pearl to the center of the flowers.

So there you have it...hope you like it as much as Sadie did :-D

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Catered Crop - Flower Power
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
Dream Valley Challenges - Mother's Day
Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog - Mum's the word
Kenny K - One for the girls
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

There's been a bit of a buzz at LCI Central the last couple of weeks. We are all excited as we've a new release coming up on March 26...that's a week today eek!!! I hope you'll stop by to see the new images...all 15 of them!!! We've got not one but 4 extremely talented GD's joining us so grab the badge and add it to your sidebar to spread the news...the more the merrier :-D

That's it from me today. I'm still working on those wedding invites and I think I'll get them all finished today phew!

Thanks for stopping by

TLT - Susan's Challenge - Spring!

Good morning and a happy TLT to you! Another 2 weeks have flown by and we're almost halfway through March..crazy!

Notice anything different about my blog (and the Challenge Blog)? Isn't it fantabulous!!! I just loved Julie's makeover by lovely Lou...I'm so happy with it and glad it's no longer green!!

Thank you for you fabtastic entries to our new release Blog Hop and Add A Number Challenge. To see if you are a winner pop on over to the Challenge Blog

Today's challenge has been brought to you by super talented Ladybug Susan. She has chosen Spring but I think after a brief spring spell last week, winter is back with a vengeance. We had crazy snow blizzards crossed with sunny spells on Sunday and we woke to a blanket of snow yesterday morning! It's so cccccold but hopefully our challenge will warm you up.

I made this card for my MIL for Mother's Day...following the Keep Calm quotes it says Keep Calm on the outside and It's Mother's Day on the inside...I thought I was quite clever lololol.

The picture makes the card look quite insipid (or maybe it's my lack of Photoshop skills lol) but IRL it was bright and cheery. I've used Wheelbarrow Delight from the Floral Delight collection. I loved coloring this with my Copics.

I added lots of glitter, some liquid pearls and Glossy Accents to the sunflower center.

I love layering the flowers using different textures

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Crafty Bloggers Network - Pastel or Spring
Digi Makeover Challenge - Easter/Spring
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Whoopsi Daisy Challenge Blog - Buttons or Bows
Celebrate The Occasion - Spring is in the Air
Crafty Sentiments - Hello Spring

I've got an order for wedding invites and place cards and unfortunately I used the same heart die for the sample that I used for Nic and Ben's invitations...can't think how I forgot what a nightmare they were to cut out. Well, the bride loved them didn't she hmph! Thankfully Susan came to my rescue with her Ebosser and 134 hearts are winging their way to me. I'm hoping Mr Postie will be delivering them today :-D

Hope you have a great week.

Midweek Reminder - Through The Ages - Add a Number

You will NEVER guess what I saw ...I finally saw my grandkidlet move!!!! What!!! Don't tell me I forgot to tell you pfffffft!!! ROFL...yup...Nicole's having a baby. CANNOT believe it slipped my mind tee hee. I have been extremely impatient for baby McLeod to acknowledge me and last night there they were...tiny movements across Nic's tummy :-D

Thought I'd show you another Through The Ages card I made a while back .... Billie is 4.

Each Billie comes in boy and girl....the boys have buttons and the girls, flowers.

I just love Billie...can't wait for more!

Thanks for stopping by

80 Years Young

I'm a bit worried...we've had gorgeous weather since the weekend and I'm hoping it's not our summer come early!!! I've manage to hang my wash out...I love the smell of clothes dried outside :-D

Judging by your comments and emails you are loving the new Through The Ages release. I've had a great time playing and want to show you a card I made for a magazine...

People are living longer these days so I thought an 80 was a must in the collection...I just wish I had it when my friend Sadie reached this milestone 2 years ago.

I loved paper piecing the numbers...just don't look at the white bits .... forgot to tidy them up with my black marker hmph!

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Celebrate the Occasion - Girls birthday - must use pink
Lady Anne's Challenges - Anything Goes
Bearly-Mine Challenges - Anything Goes
LEJ Designs Challenge Blog - For a Lovely Lady
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
4 Crafty Chicks - Stitching
Crafty Ribbons Challenge - Anything Goes With Ribbon
Craft Us Crazy - Anything Goes

A little update on Nicole and her growing bump (did I mention I was going to be a grandma...might have slipped my mind ;-D). She  is positively glowing and I would liken her bump to a football (soccer ball M Pee) under her top...it's lovely and round :-D I don't think Baby McLeod likes me though because I have yet to see or feel it move. Any time Nicole has shouted on me that it's moving, by the time I get there it's stopped hmph! The nursery is gorgeous and apart from a few bits and pieces all they need is the baby :-D It's not long now...73 days and counting eek!!!!

Steven is doing really well in Dubai...he hasn't stopped working since he arrived 3 weeks ago. He's done modelling jobs and is working for events management companies...he was chosen today to to an event for Cartier!  He's mixing with people and getting a lot of contacts. Next week he's working at The Boat show and today he's going to the semi-finals of the tennis .... basically he's having a fantastic time...living the dream :-D

I haven't made a card this week so I'm going to forget the housework and lock myself in my craftroom and hope the cleaning fairies will work their magic lol.

Hope you have a great weekend.
