Monday's added bonus

I received a lovely email from Meahni today and this card was attached! She has been so busy of late that crafting hasn't been luxury she could indulge in but she managed to sneak in a card for me :-D

I love the elegance of this card and doesn't Martini Nikki look chilled lol. Those paper flowers are gorgeous and look striking against the pp.

It's been a while Meahni but well worth the wait. Thank you for your flabby card :-D

One more sleep...

....until it's TLT! I cannot wait until tomorrow because apart from it being Totally Ladybug Tuesday we will be sharing with you some FLABULOUS news so make sure you stop by and see what all the excitement is about. I can assure you we are all set to burst lol.

I haven't anything crafty to show you as such. Saturday was a lovely day here and Rocky and Ruby were out in the back yard playing with their tennis balls. I was actually quite shocked Rocky let Ruby have one as he is VERY greedy territorial about his tennis balls. If there were four, he'd have 3 in his mouth and one safely tucked in his paws just so Ruby couldn't get one!

Postman Steve delivered my copy of Simply Cards & Papercraft and look what was in it!

This is in the Best of British supplement. I was so excited I got TWO pages until I realised everyone did ...doh!

Now remember to check back tomorrow to see the DT's challenge (it's Hayley's turn)...all I'm going to say is it has been very challenging lol. Also you won't want to miss the BIG news!

Have a great Monday!

Careful how you write things down!

LOLOLOLOL...I had a good chuckle to myself yesterday. I had to send a couple of boxes via Parcel Force yesterday and wasn't sure of a couple of things. I remembered I had a number for a girl who was assigned to me when I started LCI so called her...or so I thought. I punched in the number and before it even rang this recording came on....Welcome to chat or date...for gay press 1...for straight press 2!!!!

Oh my word! I hung up straight away not sure of what I was going to hear next. I figured I had dialled the wrong number so I punched it in again....and I got the same recording lol. My thoughts now were 'have PF branched out into new ventures'???? I went and checked my paperwork and realised I had written one number down wrong. Needless to say I quickly changed it and in future I will be more than careful when I'm writing something down rofl.

I was asked to make some samples for invitations for a corporate dinner and this is what I came up with....

This is a typical situation where the picture doesn't do the card justice. For a start the middle thistle doesn't stick out as obvious as it does and the glitter looks so much prettier. Also the Swarovski crystals in the corners are a gorgeous Tanzanite which IRL are really sparkly. I'm not a big fan of using these kind of flowers but they wanted a Scottish theme so this is what they got. Luckily for me they loved this one so I don't have to make any more samples :-D I've got to make 15 invitations and 21 place cards so guess what I'll be doing next week!

I'm loving Saturday nights now...Strictly Come Dancing and X Factor {sigh} .... tv heaven AND it also helps me get through my ironing lol. For SCD I think the boys are stronger this year...Mo and Anton are hilarious! My favourite dancer is Flavia...I want her body!!! After every show I vow to get out my little trampoline, my ball and to start eating healthily but that only lasts until I put the kettle on lol. As for X Factor I love Matt with the hat and Aiden...Aiden's performance last week was stunning {imho}. Also the young boyband are going to break a lot of hearts {sigh}. If any of you watch either show let me know who you're loving :-D

And finally (phew says you lol) I've got some exciting news coming up which I think you'll be very happy with indeed ...all will be revealed this week :-D

Enjoy your weekend!

Magnum gets an inking

It's Nicole's fellas birthday today...Happy birthday Ben!

So what do you do when you have a dreaded male card to make? Why, you ink up a Magnum of course lol!!

I grabbed my Add-On Magnum and Magnum Add-Ons (confused?) and set to work. I chose the present and balloon from the Add-On set to 'add-on' (get it?) to Add-On Magnum, inked them up with Momento black ink and coloured him with my Copics.

I used Bazzill cs, SU! Kraft cs and Bo Bunny pp from Hayley for the base. I punched an oval using my SU! punch and .... check me out... SEWED around the oval! I stamped happy birthday on a white piece of cs and stuck it behind the window (thought it might be too tricky to sew both kraft cs and white cs with such narrow edges...err on the side of caution!).

I used GA on the balloon and the box on the present. You will probably be shocked and horrified (I know I am) that you won't find one grain of glitter on here. I won't be giving Ben the card until tonight so there still is time lol. I'd better get it signed and in the envelope before I change my mind!

First a circle now an oval....I'll be running up wedding dresses next lmao!

I hope he likes it...and you too.

I'm going to be stuffing envelopes for most of the day ... hope I don't get any paper cuts!

Have a great weekend (here already!)

Birthday Robyn

Judging by your comments, Pinky's Challenge was a success and Jack was loved by all. He is a little cutie and so much fun to colour in. It's great that the images are equally popular and I think everyone can identify with each of them from their experiences with their own sons/grandsons.

I had to show you this card that the lovely Mary Poppins  Michele emailed me using my favourite MME pp. I just love everything about this card. The colouring is flab and look at those jewels on her party hat.... Scrumpdillyicious!

I love how Michele added the white spots to Robyn's dress

Love those jewels!

This is rather short as I've 'hunners' to do today. Can't believe it's almost Friday...AGAIN!

Thanks for stopping by :-D

TLT - Pinky's Challenge - One for the Boys and the Blog Hop Winners

Another week and another TLT challenge! This week Pinky decided on One For The Boys and we all chose to use Jack. I must say I didn't hear much grumbling from the girls this time lol. As ususal they came up trumps and I think you'll agree there's some great inspiration here.

I inked up my favourite little guy Football Jack and coloured him in with my Prismal pencils and Copics. I don't have a lot of boyish papers but remembered I had this Sweet Pea Stampin' Up! pp and thought this one was perfect.

Please note how I painstakingly sewed the circle!!!

You can't tell but I put Glossy Accents on the football.

How cool are these footballs! At the risk of repeating myself, I've had these for YEARS! They're actually erasers that my little sis sent me and I used to put them on all the boys cards. I haven't used any for yonks and almost threw them out when I had a big cull of my workroom a month or so ago. I knew I hung on to them for a reason lol.

Here are the Design Teams flabulous cards. Clicking on their names will take you directly to their blogs.

 Ang

Tams

Didn't they do well! I think they deserve a round of applause {clap clap clap} or the very least some Ladybug Love :-D

Now onto the Blog Hop Winners!

The first prize winner of all four Cupcake Cuties is :

Flying Fresian

And the four runners up prize of a Cupcake Cutie of their choice are:

Gaynor Greaves
Amanda Reid
Michelle Giselle
Christine Thomas

Congratulations girls!!!!!  Email me with your details and I'll get your Cupcake Cuties off to you asap.

Ok...I'm pooped after all that. This is almost as bad as a blog hop lol. I hope you enjoyed this weeks TLT....I can promise you next weeks is a doozer! The girls have been stressing about this one for weeks lol.

Thanks for stopping by.

Crop

I'm not still not convinced about the height and weight issue I raised the other day. If I've got 5 inches on someone surely I can 'hide' the weight more than they can??? Thanks for your comments...they did make me chuckle and I managed to get more than on some of my cards lol.

Yesterday was catch up day after Saturday. It's amazing how much there is to do when you take a day off to enjoy yourself. I had planned doing the ironing on Saturday while watch the X Factor but I was too pooped. After dinner I flopped down on the couch and didn't move for 2 1/2 hours!

So what are your views on the X Factory? I can't believe Louie brought Wagner (Vagner) back as his wild card and that Nicolo got booted off. I wasn't a mega fan of Nicolo but do think he had a great voice. It was a shame Dani gave him the song she did and dressed him like a muppet! My favourites were Mary (amazing), Aiden (stunning), Matt (flabulous) and Cher (there's something I like about her). I also liked the last band...the one with all the cuties lol. Boy they're going to do well!

We had a great time at the crop and made my little calendar as the make and take. They all loved it and have all vowed to make more at home. Annette gave me a yummy cupcake beautifully wrapped in cellophane and I meant to take a picture to show you but forgot and ate it lol. Trust me when I tell ya it was real purdy and tasted flab.

Alison was the official photographer and clicked away while we worked. This is what we got up to ...

Alison, Annette, Me, Sheena, Elaine, Julie, Lynn & Chris

Chris, Sheena & Elaine (share the joke Sheena!)

I hope Chris doesn't see this lol. I must remember not to do this when Alison is about!

Annette, Sheena, Elaine, Julie, Chris & Lynn

Lynn concentrating on her nailheads!

Me acting the fool!

As usual we laughed and laughed and at one point I didn't think any work was going to get done but we did (I was doing a stock take). I think everyone was concentrating on making Christmas cards rather than scrapbooking.

Tomorrow is TLT and it's a beauty. It's Pinky's Challenge this week and the theme is One For The Boys. Just wait until you see what the DT have got for you! I'm also going to announce the winners of the blog hop so make sure you check in to see if you've won. We had an avalanche (I've always wanted to say that lol) of right answers which always makes it more fun. Also look out for an announcement later in the week which I hope you'll like.

Anywho...I've some samples to make for a corporate dinner so I best get going.

Thanks for stopping by.
