Guest Designer #2

I'm so excited to show you this card. I told you the other week I had another guest designer that agreed to design cards for me using my images. This came on the back of a comment I made to Jeanie and before I could believe my luck Meahni from Animal Factory was on board!! Being in South Africa wasn't a problem as the internet is a wonderful thing but the mail isn't! We waiting impatiently for the stamps to arrive and this was the first image that Meahni decided to use...
Tiptoeing Lily! I just love this image and it cracks me up every time I see it. Lily must be very brave if she thinks she'll get away with stealing the cheese right from under Magnum's nose but then I don't think he's in the best of shape to catch her either lol.
The papers Meahni used are from October Afternoon...I love the brown and green together...you know me a green lol. Meahni used Prisma pencils (a girl after my own heart) to colour the image and look at the grass...perfect! I definitely need to practise my grass more.
So what do you think? Make sure you leave some Ladybug Love as it is always appreciated. I can't wait to see what image Meahni uses next :-D
Thanks for stopping by today. Don't forget the pre-order special finishes tomorrow!

We had a great time at our friends birthday party yesterday and arrived home late this afternoon. The weather was beautiful...especially today although we spent most of it in the car! I think it's supposed to last a couple of more days and I'm going to try and take advantage of it by sitting out tomorrow for an hour or so before we get the rain back.
Here are two more of Karen's beautiful cards. I love the Bo Bunny paper's she's used in the first card with Gossip Nikki.
I'm seriously thinking I've got to get more flowers onto my cards...

Flowers For You Nikki is certainly looking pleased with herself! Karen used more of the Nitwits papers for this card.

I've got two more of Karen's cards left to show you tomorrow and I'll be working on some new stuff to show you later in the week.
There's still time to apply for the DT team so don't be shy. I've had some fabulous emails with beautiful cards and I'm itching to get the team together and get started! Also don't forget the pre-order for the new stamps ends on Tuesday.
That's all for today...thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week.

Happy Saturday! Hope you're all having a great weekend. We've got our friend's 50th birthday party today and we'll be heading there soon. The present is wrapped and the card safely tucked inside..I just hope I don't forget to take it lol!
Here is another one of Karen's fab cards that arrived yesterday. I love the design of this card with Football Jack. The green and black are striking (no pun intended lol) together.

He really is the cutest little fella! I'm going to put in for some Copic lessons next time Karen comes to Scotland...

I love these epoxy dots and I don't use them enough. I've just ordered more and I should be getting them next week.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by :-D

Day off...

I took a day off from blogging yesterday as I had a lot of catch up to do. And did I? Nope!! I got some things done but I don't think I'm ever meant to be on top of things and I've decided I'm not going to beat myself up about it anymore. The housework will always be there and as long as my house is clean the untidyness ain't donna kill no one!
I've got a treat for you today....a BIG treat with 5 more to come! I got a nice little parcel in the mail yesterday from BFF with 6 samples....Yup 6!!! Each one is as gorgeous as the next and they're all my favourites lol. For some strange reason my eyes started to leak for a split second so I might just have to get that checked the next time I visit the doctor lol!!!
Anywho, this is my first favourite....
At the moment she's called Nikki Running with Buttercup in the snow...very original huh lol! But isn't this card stunning! Can you see why she's my BF and she's on my DT? Now about that...I was a little bit premature when I announced Karen was starting a blog. She's just about the only blogger I know with lots of followers but hasn't posted lol. I got so excited when she told me she'd set up her blog but then things got a little manic for her and hasn't had time to scratch her nose let alone blog but she's assured me that when she does start blogging in the very near future this is the card she's going to use. I begged her if I could post it today because I couldn't wait till when that would be so she said yup and here it is :-D

The papers she's used are from Nitwits ... make sure you check them out because they are gorgeous! I love the colours on this card and don't Nikki and Buttercup look like they're having fun :-D

So what do you think? Well worth the wait and hopefully it won't be too long before Karen starts...no pressure Karen lol!! Make sure you leave some Ladybug Love to let me know.

Ok, so I'd better get started on what I never got done yesterday. I hope you all have a great weekend and make sure you check in later because I might just have a little pre-order special going on over the weekend!

Smelly dog...

Chef Ryan Ramsay update....don't think cheffing (is that a word?) is his thing lol!!! The dish smelled really good but the sauce resembled the colour and thickness of a Frosted Malt (yuuuummmeeeee...loved those when I was a kid!)...a spoon could have stood up in it! He was supposed to mix the chicken in the sauce then arrange it on a plate and drizzle this other concoction over top. Even after adding more liquid it was still to thick so he put a dollop on top of the chicken and I drizzled. As far as the taste is concerned....nah. He didn't like it (and he'll eat most things) so I don't think he'll be making that again anytime soon. I think it needed salt and this diet book says not to add it so if he did he would've defeated the purpose of the diet in the first place!
So then the birthday girl...what a little minx! I gave Ruby a lovely chicken dinner (normally stick to just toast and dog food as chicken has an adverse affect on her lol) and when it was time for her and Rocky's last walk before bed we set off. All was going well until we headed back and she went missing! I called and called and whistled and whistled (as quietly but effectively as I could at 11:30 at night!) but she wouldn't come so I headed home with Rocky to get my flashlight which had no batteries. Couldn't find any so raided the Sky remote control (remind me to put them back or I'm in trouble!) and headed off to find her. I was half way up the street when she came tearing around the corner as fast as her 3 legs would carry her looking like she KNEW she was in trouble...and she was. I don't know what she'd been up to (and I don't want to know) but she stank!! Maybe it was fox poo but it was horrible. There was no way I was washing her at that time of night so I sprayed her with doggy perfume and put her to bed. Poor Rocky having to sleep with her lol.
We're going to a friends 50th...a man...at the weekend and thought I'd be more organised and make his card early. I had planned to make him a card using his baby pictures and the whole idea...if it worked ...would have been brilliant...but my printer decided it wanted to print the pictures with lines going across the image so after waste goodness knows how much ink cleaning the nozzles I abandoned the idea and pulled out Add-On Magnum instead. I definitely think Magnum makes making men's cards a whole lot easier :-D This is what I came up with...
With the weather being so miserable I wanted something bright and cheery. I love this Bo Bunny pp I got from Hayley. I think I just about got away with the colours for a male card.

When I designed the Add-Ons for Magnum on of the ideas was for him to hold the balloon in his tail. I think it works really well and I'm pleased with how it turned out. I also used my up-coming numbers to put Martin's age in the balloon....I think it's purr-fect lol.
What do you think of this little embellishment? One button is boring so I thought I'd use 3! They're from Bo Bunny so match the paper perfectly. I just stacked the three buttons on top of each other and threaded the PTI twine through and tied a double knot and hey presto!

I'm going to have a little tidy up now as I've neglected the house lately. Let me know what you think with a little Ladybug Love :-D

Hail Hail!

No, I'm not referring to a particular football chant...I'm talking about the weather. Although it was forecast we haven't got any yet...but we did get this....
I didn't dare step outside to take the picture...I decided I didn't want to wash my hair for the 3rd day in a row (oh to have naturally straight hair!) so took this from my tv room. It actually doesn't look as bad as it was. Now it's the monkey's birthday (ever heard that one?) as it's sunny and raining at the same time!

And my poor washing! About 5 minutes before I took this picture the sun was shining hot...and I mean hot. I'm sure it was almost dry hmph. I've left it as I can't be bothered just now...more important things to do ... to show you ... like this card ...

This is one of the new Christmas Nikki images coming soon. So soon it might be Friday woot woot!. I got a bit caught out for a pre-order but you never know ... I might just have one anyway :-D

How gorgeous is Nikki with her sparkly scarf and driving gloves! I just realised I forgot the GA on the headlights...that's how impatient I was to get this posted. Buttercup looks happy in the co-pilot seat lol.

Remember this Jack card
here? I really wanted to make another Joy Fold card but a bigger size and in my favourite square shape so I adjusted the measurements and voila!
Notice anything about my pictures??? They've got blurry edges!! Jeanie came to my rescue...again! I don't know what I'd do without that girl. Apart from being mega talented she is so generous with tips and advice and just so helpful :-D
I've got Chef Ryan Ramsay in my kitchen as I type this. I don't know how many interruptions I've had while trying to type this up lol. Mom...do you have any walnuts...mom...what are Bay Leaves...Mawwwwwwm...how do you turn this blender on! He's on a new diet...The Paleo Diet For Athletes ...and ordered the book yesterday from Amazon which arrived today. It's got a recipe section so now he's cooking himself some lunch (it's just gone 3pm) which might just turn into dinner! Goodness knows what my kitchen will look like when he's finished. But I guess I shouldn't complain...at almost 23 he's finally starting to cook :-D I may get him to move out again soon (his room would be the PERFECT office/workroom heehee)....watch this space!
I'm getting more applications for the DT...I didn't think I'd get ANY takers so I'm pleased as punch. It's going to be so hard to choose...hmmm...I wonder what the Guiness Book of Records record is for the most DT members rolf.
One more thing before I hightail it to the post office....check out this fab card by Sue. It's the first one I've seen using Football Jack apart from my own and I love it!
Thanks for stopping by guys :-D
