I was a bit worried last night because by the time I went to bed there were no comments about Jack. I thought maybe I had misread everyone wanting a little boy stamp but it looks like there was a glitch on Blogger because this morning there were 4 comments to greet me starting from about 12 noon yesterday :-D And the concensus is that you're very happy to have a little boy amongst your stash lol.

I came across some sad news yesterday. I keep my stamps in a binder box I got from Elzybells at the end of last year. With the new releases I realised I needed some more pages to put the stamps on so I headed over to Elzybells's blog only to discover she is closing down!!! Why didn't anyone tell me??? I love Elizabeth's stamps and am the proud owner of many (and I mean many!) Elizabeth is having a closing down sale selling her stamps at 50% off and her Colour Coordinates at 60% off so if you're needing or wanting anything head on over there because once it's gone it's gone. I managed to get some cs, buttons and thankfully some pages for my binder. I swithered over a floral stamp set which I didn't put in my basket but ever since I've had the sweats so might just go and order it today before it sells out. I wondered if I should remove my 'I Love Elzybells' button but I think I will keep it as I still love Elzybells :-D

I'm not sure what I was going on about here!

I was asked by Donna which I preferred, Copic or Promarker and can I say the jury's still out on that. They both have their +'s and -'s but I really haven't had a good run at using the Promarker's yet so I'll let you know. (I already know I don't like the fact that the Promarker ink keeps on going if you colour too close to the lines but that just needs a bit of adjustment from me.) I had a big clearout of my workroom yesterday so I can now at least see the surfaces and I have space at my desk so I'll get stuck in tomorrow and colour up some of the new images. I'm terrible for not putting things away and I guess getting the windows put in the other week wasn't such a bad thing after all!! It forced me to clear everything away and throw a lot of stuff I was keeping just in case. We all know 'just in case' rarely happens so it's better off in the garbage or a new home :-D

Meet Jack

Thought I'd start showing you some new images for the August release. I've had umpteen requests for a little boy as they are few and far between. So who am I to ignore what you want lol??? So here he is...Jack....Robyn's twin brother! Can you see the resemblance?

I took this sample along to the demo day at CW on Saturday and he was received extremely well. And judging by the comments on my blog there are a few of you waiting impatiently lol. At the moment I only have 2 images as sadly Jack and Robyn's illustrator's mom passed away at the weekend but I've sent these off with the rest of the new images to the manufacturers. I'm hoping they'll be ready at the beginning of August but I will let you know and of course have the pre-order sale and maybe another competition!!

I just want to grab his little cheeks and kiss him lol. Let me know what you think of this little guy.

Singing in the rain

This card was greatly admired yesterday at the demo day yesterday at CW. Not for any reason other than the design and the umbrella paper. I'm not sure what it's called but I saw a card in one of the little supplement magazines made by .... a man!!! Yup...you read correctly...a man. His name is Phill Martin and his card was 8 x 8 and used a sticker instead of a stamped image. Now 8 x 8 is just a bit too big for me so I made mine my regulation 5 1/2 x 5 1/2.

I was in CW a couple of weeks ago and saw this MME paper. Gaynor saw me and rushed up saying she thought of Wellies Robyn as soon as she saw the paper. I think there were only a few sheets yesterday (no I hadn't bought it all!) and they were snapped up PDQ and I'm sure they would have sold dozens more as people kept asking for it.

I 3 D'd her umbrella for a bit of depth and of course added as much glitter as I dared :-D

Craft World Open Day

We had a great day yesterday at the Craft World open day. There was Becky from Do Crafts and myself demonstrating our products. We had a steady stream of lovely ladies and Andy visiting our tables to see what was what. I recognized quite a few faces from the last time I demonstrated there last year and it was really nice to see them again and meet new ones. I got a nice surprise when some of the ladies said they followed my blog :-D Hello to Roni, Rita and Elspeth!

I took along some samples of the June release as well as a few new designs to be released next month which went down well. I'll start posting them over the coming weeks but in the meantime here's another I never got posted last week.

I used my Promarkers to colour in Gossip Nikki. I'm relatively happy with it but if you look closely at Nikki's friends hair on the left, the ink bled past the line even though I tried to stay clear of it. I used the blender pen to remove as much of it as I could. The table colour is a bit strong so will try different colours next time. I didn't get many sentiments on the cards but I will get to that later :-D The stitching is a bit dodgy on the corners...not sure what happened there. Also, I must not have had my glasses on as the lines aren't exactly straight!

Do you like the button? I hadn't used my i-top in ages so dragged it out and made one using the reverse of the harlequin paper from MME. I love this paper...no surprise there lol.

Friday again...

Boy these weeks sure are flying by. Can't believe we're into July already...before you know it....Nah...I just can't say it...yet!!!

Sorry for the poor quality of these pictures. I only seem to be able to take decent pictures on holiday! This was one of the cards I was hoping to pre-post before I went away and when time ran out thought I'd be able to do it on my notebook but the internet on the ship was a bit tempermental to say the least!

This card was for my BIL whose birthday was the day before my sister's last month. As you all know making men's cards cast a dark shadow over my mind and work desk but for some reason the Magnum stamps make it a lot easier for me. I still much prefer making a girly card but now I don't feel the dread I usually do when making a card for a guy :-D

I've got a bit to catch up on the washing front. I think Steven was in charge of that plus some ironing...there's still a mountain to conquer and I have to take Ryan to get his eyes re-lasered as he's had to start wearing his glasses/contacts again. He got them first done about 3 years ago and since has had to have each eye re-done and today he's getting them both done at the same time. I don't care what those commercials say about being back at work with a couple of hours...it ain't like that!!!! He's dreading it as he knows what to expect now but it's got to be done for his job.

I'm home and Happy Canada Day!!!

Hiya!! Hope you're all well and enjoyed your week :-D Sadie and I arrived home safely this afternoon and Nicole surprised us by picking us up at the airport. After taking Sadie home and settling her in she dropped me back home and I haven't stopped since!

We were told by one of the waiter's that the market in Toulon was fantastic and he wasn't wrong. I loved seeing all the fresh fruit layed out. This was one of hundreds of stalls

I wasn't sure if we were going to get into Barcelona or not as Sadie was quite unwell Tuesday night into Wednesday. We spent most of the day at the pool...me in the sun and her in the shade. Around 3pm she decided she was up to a little jaunt into the city so we quickly got changed and into a taxi.

This sign made me laugh...they were lined up all of Las Ramblas street

And so were these human statues. They stood still until you put money in their buckets then reacted according to their persona.

These guys started pedalling their bikes when the coins dropped into their buckets

This guy was a bit freaky but fascinated me. He reminded me of David Walliams! When he got money he'd start gurgling like a baby.

Edward Scissorhands....he was the image of Johnny Depp.

So that's it folks. We had a wonderful time although Sadie's hip really was giving her gip and I think she might need a hip replacement. We got on great though we are happy to be sleeping in our own beds lol.
