TLT - New DIGI Release & Blog Hop! - Lisa's Challenge - Spring is in the Air

How the Heck are you all? I am excited beyond excited. Have you ever been so excited you just can't stand it? Well that's me right now lol. Before I get stuck into all the details I'd like to thank everyone who entered our last challenge, Loves Me Loves Me not. It was great to see so many entries along with entries using LCI images of which one will win a prize :-D At some point make sure you check the Challenge Blog to see if you're one of our winners or Top 3's.

Ok, let's get started before I lose the plot lol. As the banner above says we've got a new DIGI release and I think by the sneak peeks over the last two weeks you will have guessed it has a flower theme. I have had the priviledge to work with an amazing illustrator on this release Jan White. Apart from being extremely talented she 'got' me very early on when we started working together earlier this year which has made this project a real pleasure.

As I've said in previous posts the Ladybugs have only seen the one image they were given so it's going to be as much as a surprise for them as it is for you.

So onto the rules of the Hop ...

a) Visit each of the DT members in order and leave a comment on each of their blog hop posts.

b) There will be a LETTER to collect somewhere on the Challenge Blog and on each of the DT's blogs starting with ME - note these down in the order of the hop. At the end of the hop the letters you have collected will spell a word. Email us at lcichallengeblog@aol.com with the word you have spelt.

c) Display the blog hop banner which is at the top of this post on your blog, either in a post or on your side bar. Remember you DON'T have to have a blog to win a prize.

Prizes...did someone mention prizes???

Well.....The First Prize is THE WHOLE SHEBANG! That's ALL 9 DIGI images and 5 Runner's Up will receive 2 DIGI images of their choice and all winners will be chosen at random.
The hop will close 9am GMT on Monday 28th FEB and the winner will be announced at 9am GMT on Tuesday 1st MARCH.

OMG...let's get started lol!!!
The Lovely Lisa chose today's challenge, Spring is in the Air, which is perfect for the new release Floral Delight.

I adore my image and I loved colouring it in. It's called Ladybug Garden Delight...let me know what you think...

I printed out the image and coloured it in with my Copics before cutting it out with my Nesties. I bought some new Kraft cs at Craft Creations recently called Kraft Cover. I wasn't all that sure about it when it arrived as it was kraft on the outside and white one the inside but I guess that's why it's called Kraft Cover doh!! Anywho, I now love it ...this is the dark one but it also comes in a lovely paler shade. I've had the MS fence punch forever and thought it was perfect for the image. I only stitched a little...I know not like me at all! I thought I'd get a head start on my Mother's Day cards as it's not MD until May in North America though it's next month here. It wouldn't have been complete without a Loop Bloom :-D

So what do you thunk? I hope you will like this release....it's VERY different for LCI but I think these images suit a multitude of occasions...Birthdays, Mother's Day, Get Well, Thinking of You, Just A Note and will appeal to all ages.

I would like to enter the following challenges please:
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Paper Pretties - Must Use Flowers
Simon Says Stamp  - Anything Goes
Stamps R Us - Anything Goes
Charisma Card Challenge - Things With Wings (ladybugs)
Allsorts - Free and Easy
For the Love of Crafting - Blooming Gorgeousness
Crafts and Me Challenge - Use a New Image
Stampalot Challenge - In The Garden

The images will be on sale from today. Each image is £1.75 or you can purchase THE WHOLE SHEBANG FOR £13...that's a saving of £2.75!!

Next on the hop is the fabulicious Diane. I for one CANNOT wait to see what she has done as I love how she decorates all FOUR sides of her cards.

Please let us know what you think of the release...we ALWAYS love to hear your thoughts.

I'm off for a nap lol...Happy Hopping!

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend whatever you got up to :-D

Just want to remind you that tomorrow is the big release and bloghop and hope you'll be able to join us. The images are FABULICIOUS and although I know what images the Ladybugs have, I haven't seen the final result AND the Ladybugs have only seen one of the 9 images so we're all going to be as suprised as you!! Grab the banner for your blog and spread the news though remember you DON'T need to have a blog to play along and win a prize.

Hope to see you tomorrow....I'm so excited I can't stand it!!!!

Birthday Boy!

Had a crazy day yesterday getting a birthday cake and balloons for Steven's birthday. Ended up delegating so hubby got the balloons and I did the rest lol. Once Steven opened his presents and cards he and his girlfriend Vanessa went into town to try and find him an outfit to wear but he came home late and empty handed and wasn't best pleased lol. It wasn't long before he cheered up...a good home cooked meal will do it every time ;-D

It was a full house with everyone trying to get ready...there was hair straighteners, hairspray, makeup and squeals of laughter gone on in every corner of my house lol. OMG....three girls (Vanessa, Nicole and Ryan's girlfriend Kat) in one house getting ready...thank goodness I only have one daughter lol. Anyway by the time they finished spraying, fluffing, plumping and spritzing the three of them looked stunning...think there should be a law against looking as good as they did lol. Here are a 'few' pictures ....

Katerina & Nicole

Kat, Ryan & Nic....Lucky boy lol

Vanessa, Nic & Kat

Steven Vanessa Nic & Kat

One two three .... BLOW!!

I heard someone come in just after 3 this morning and another after 5 so goodness knows when they'll surface. I promised pancakes for breakfast but I'm thinking it might be for dinner instead lol.

I've a card or 3 to make so I'm off. Thanks for stopping by and for all your birthday wishes for Steven.

Where do I start?

I guess I'd better start by wishing my baby a happy 21st! That's right, my 'little' Steven is 21 today :-D I cannot believe how fast those years have flown by. I was feeling a bit sad though because he's been in Milan since January 6th and isn't coming home until March so would be spending his birthday with strangers :-(

I had a bit of a nightmare yesterday...when I was cleaning the downstairs bathroom I broke the mirror into a gazillion pieces! OMG...I really didn't want 7 more years of bad luck!!! I had to think real fast so to counteract the bad luck...and don't ask me why I thought this would do it...I bought a lottery ticket lol.

We'd not long finished dinner when the doorbell went...it was Steven's girlfriend Vanessa who had been over for dinner on Thursday. I opened the door and the next thing Steven jumps out and shouts surprise!!!! OMG...I was stunned and then I started to all teary and he came in and gave me the biggest hug ever. It's so good to have him home although only for 2 weeks...and he brought me a present....5 weeks of washing lol. Apart from his socks and pants he hadn't washed any of his clothes pewwwwww! Apparently everyone knew he was coming home except Vanessa and I. So now I'm thinking breaking the mirror wasn't bad luck and must remember to check my lottery tickets!!!

Steven James born at 5:15pm on February 11, 1991 weighing 7lbs 5 ounces. This is him at 3 months with just a few chins lol

This his Steven last year...all 6' 6 1/2" of him ...he's changed a bit don't you think lol

This is Steven and Vanessa just before he left for Milan

Of course I made him a card which I mailed on Monday but he hadn't received before he left. At least I can show him the pictures. This is what I did...

My friend Elaine helped out with the numbers...she cut them out on her Cricut...I think it was the Mickey Mouse cartridge. I stamped, coloured and cut out Add On Magnum and the cake that comes with it then from the Add On set I stamped the balloon 3 times and Lily. The idea was for Lily to be floating away with the balloons :-D

I hope his card will be at the agency when he goes back

Of course I wasn't expecting him home so I've no fancy cake or ballooons which I would normally do for such a special birthday. I'll be running around today trying to get something sorted. Hopefully I'll have some pictures to show you tomorrow :-D

Right...I'd better get my skates on. I hope you have a great weekend...I know I will now my baby's home :-D

What a weekend!

I had one of those weekends that not a lot went to plan. It started Friday night when Ryan took the dogs out for their last walk around 11. I had been getting all my things ready for my mega crafting day the next day, got into my jammies, make up off and was heading to my bed when the doorbell went at midnight, it was Ryan...Ruby had gone AWOL and he'd been looking for her for over half an hour. I grabbed my dressing gown, put on my dogwalking coat, hat, Uggs and headed off in search of missing pup. She eventually turned up after about 15 minutes and I put her on the lead and marched her home giving her an earful.

I was up with the birds on Saturday and did my Zumba, showered and went downstairs for my porridge only to be told that Ruby had been sick in the kitchen and utility during the night. I let her outside again, got their breakfast, settled down to mine when I realised it was REALLY quiet. I opened my kitchen door to the dining room to find that Ruby had been sick 3 times on my cream carpet...it wasn't just sick, there were lots of bones in it. Now I know what she was up to the night before. Someone had thrown a chicken carcass into the woods for the foxes and she was having a midnight feast!!! I cleaned the mess up only to find she'd decorated the hall carpet as well.

She seemed ok so off I went to pick up Elaine (after a quick pitstop at McDonald's for a much needed coffee) and we headed to Lynn's where we had a GREAT day catching up, eating, colouring, laughing, eating, chatting, more colouring, Cricuting, eating finally getting home about midnight!!! I told you it was a great day lol.

Got up Sunday, let dogs out, let them in, next thing Ruby is sick again but this time there was blood so phoned emergency vet and they advised to bring her in. Chicken bones can splinter and are so dangerous to dogs. Long story short (sorry :-S) she didn't have any blockages, she's on Zantac and I got a bill for £150!!! I am really angry and if I knew who had thrown the chicken in the woods I would hand them the bill. If it's who I think it is, they are dog owners so it's more than irresponsible of them to do it.

It was also my Dad's birthday on Saturday...79 years young though when he first married my mom I would look at his driver's license and for about 10 years I thought he was 33...that was the year he was born lol. Anywho, he's not thrilled he's 79 but he looks about 15 years younger and is still climbing ladders, putting windows in, tiling floors. I guess this is what keeps him young.

Dad's an avid golfer so I had to use Magnum & Lily Fore! digi for his card. This is what I came up with...

I followed a sketch I saw on the MFT blog using my favourite MME pp.

He hadn't received it when I spoke to him on Sunday but hopefully it will arived soon.

I'd love to enter the following challenges:

Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Sew Many Cards - Birthday
Squigglefly - Birthday
Birthday Sundaes - Birthday with sentiment

We're all very excited about the upcoming blog hop. There are some Ladybugs...well, ONE Ladybug that is trying every trick in the book to see all the images but when there's a new release I like everyone including the DT to be surprised. Can you believe she even tried the 'can I buy them now so I can get a head with the challenges' trick?! Nice try lol!!

If you head over to the Challenge Blog you'll get more sneak peeks to whet your appetite. For all that I know what images each of the DT have I've yet to see their creations...I cannot wait!!! Here's a peek at mine...any ideas?? I'm afraid I'm not as generous with my peek as the others lol

I'm off to get stuck into these wedding invitations before I get into trouble from Nic!

Thanks for stopping by

Happy Saturday

Hello and welcome to the weekend yaaaayyy!!! This is just a quick one because I'm going to be dashing out the door soon. I've got a date...a very important date and if I'm late...well it won't be pretty lol. Wanna know where I'm going? Well I'd better mention it cuz I got into big trouble when I didn't  in my last post. Elaine and I are going over to Lynn's for a mega play day!!! Now you see why I can't be late...late = less play time :-( I'm going to be concentrating on colouring so I've packed ALL my Copics and some paper pads to coordinate and I've printed off LOTS of images but how much will get coloured is anyone's guess. You know what it's like when crafty girly's get together...a LOT of yacking lol. I'll let you know how we get on and what we get up to :-D

Before I head I want to share a card with you that was emailed to me yesterday. Isabelle took advantage of the January sale and this is one of the images she bought. I just love her card....

Isn't it fabulicious! I love how Isabelle stamped straight onto the card...no mounting or anything. It solves a lot of problems trying to find the right pp ;-D You can see her other fabby cards on her blog Inkerbelle's

Another blog to check out is The Tiny Blue Butterfly. Jen made a gorgeous card using Tiptoeing Lily and you will love her other fabulicious creations :-D

Eek...I just noticed the time...I'm outta here!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by

472

472...that's the number of calories I burned this morning working out to Zumba 2 (medium effort Poolside) in just under an hour!! AND my technique is now at 2% lol. At the rate I'm going I'll be able to qualify as an instructor before long :-D I've also LOST 4 pounds yaaaayyyy!!

Ryan needed a card on Saturday for a 21st. To be fair he did ask on the Friday but I was kinda hoping he'd forget but funny how kids turn into elephants and never forget things THEY ask YOU for but when YOU ask THEM it's another story. So an hour before he was due to leave he asked for the card eek!!!

But mom's can do anything....they're SUPER women and this mom was no exception Saturday night....look what I came up with in UNDER an hour...

This was the first time I used Aida for the flowers. Thanks to everyone that put a name to the 'embroidery stuff' I used on my TLT card lol. I'd been itching to use this pp for ages and it all came together once I stamped Winestool Nikki.

I thought I was saving time by paper piecing her dress but I'm not sure if that was the case but I love how it turned out

This could be my new favourite flower....love the aida fabric

So there it is...yes it CAN be done ... a card in UNDER an hour lol.

I'd love to enter the following challenges please:
