Bloomin' Fabulous - New Release!!!

Howdy howdy HOWDY!!!! The Ladybugs are beyond excited to finally bring you our newest release...Bloomin' Fabulous. More flowers??? Yup more flowers lol. The way I look at it is you can NEVER have enough flower images :-D

Before I show you my card make sure you check the Challenge Blog to see if you are one of the winners from our For Him/Father's Day challenge...the entries were fabulous!!

On to the new release. There are 12 images...LOTS of flowers and they are on sale from today. There is a prize of ALL the images for one lucky winner and 5 prizes of 2 images of your choice. All you have to do is leave a comment on the Challenge Blog telling us what your favourite flower is. Mine are Tulips closely followed by Gerberas :-D

I've got TWO cards to show you... I am bursting to show you the first one. It's the first time I've made one like this and have since made a 2nd! As it's my first please go easy on me lol

It's a card in a box!!! I've seen them all over Pinterest and blogland and thought I'd give them a go. They looked pretty complicated but I found a fantastic tutorial on YouTube here ... and all I'm tellin' ya is if I can do it anyone can lol. The video is just over 6 minutes and so easy to follow :-D

I'm really pleased with how my card turned out...the only thing I would do different is make the image larger. I've used Fishbowl o' Roses...this is a brilliant image to colour.

I added glitter to the roses and Glossy Accents to the water.

I found some thin cork in a drawer and used it for one of the flowers behind the birthday sign as well as burlap for one of the hearts. I added Doodlebug Sprinkles enamel dots for added interest.

Another burlap flower with a cork and button center. All the pp pieces have been scored to give a nicer finish.

I would encourage anyone who hasn't made a Card in a Box to give it a go...they are so much fun to make and ideas are endless.

For my second card I've used the gorgeous Camelia Blooms...I love it's simplicity.

This is from a set of 4 note cards I made. All the cards were the same except I used different Bloomin' Fabulous images for each one. Lucky for you I only have one picture of it ;-D I used an A4 Embossalicious folder to emboss the whole card blank...I really love doing this...then printed the image and sentiment as seen and scored a line around the card with my Scorpal. I think this really makes a difference to the finished card.

So there you have it! I hope you like the images and the cards I've made. Please let the Ladybugs know what you think...and give our GD Jane some extra Ladybug love.

I had a busy week last week with Coen...4 days and 2 nights...I was in bed for 10 on Saturday night lol. We had a great time though. On Friday we went to Calderglen Park where I used to take Nic and the boys. They have a little zoo area and Coen loved it.

Here are a few pictures for Coen's Corner..

It's changed a lot since I was last there...I'm sure they didn't have meerkats back then...they were hilarious to watch...not far off the commercials... simples lol

The weather has been lovely...warm and sunny so hubby Coen and I took a drive to the beach at Troon on Sunday...it was FREEZING but it didn't stop us having some icecream. Coen helped grandpa to finish his cone.

That's it from me...have a fantastic Tuesday and I hope you'll join in our Anything Goes challenge this week and make sure you leave a comment for a chance to win the new release!

For Him - Midway Reminder

Just a quick post today as I have a tonne of stuff to do today...well between yesterday and today I have to fit in 6 days worth of work because I have Coen tomorrow until Saturday including Thursday night!!! Today will be wedding invitation day...yes I'm still working on them but with the Ruby & Rocky in Doggy Daycare I SHOULD be able to make a dent in them :-D

I think I've made what's called a 'double fold' card...you can let me know if it's called something else lol

Again I've used Beer Belly Man, coloured him with my Copics and cut him out. The 'cheers' is from my Paper Smooches Birthday die set...it's first outing ;-D 'Dad' is an alphabet set from MFT. I cut the letters 3 times each and layered them to give them a bit of strength...sometimes with the smaller die cuts they can be quite flimsy and difficult to cut pieces of foam tape to fit the thin pieces. This way you get dimension AND strength :-D

The enamel dots are from Doodlebug

A little peek at the inside. I really love this style of card...whatever it's called lol.

Just a couple of pictures in Coen's Corner this week. The McLeod family had a little mini break with friends and their little girl last week in a lodge near Glen Eagles. The weather wasn't great but they had a fun time. Here's a pic of Daddy Ben and Coen in their matching sunglasses. Not sure how long Coen kept his glasses on for...

not long lol.

Remember we have a new release next week...we hope you'll join us for the reveal!

Thanks for stopping by today...hope you have a great week

Father's Day.Male Challenge

Howdy, howdy HOWDY!!! Hope you're all well and ready for a new challenge here at LCI :-D Before I go into the deets I'd like to thank everyone who entered our last challenge - Monochrome. Your makes were amazing! To see if you were one of the winner's skedaddle on over to the Challenge blog :-D

Today's challenge is brought to you by our very own Lovely Ladybug Tams. With Father's Day looming it was only right Tams chose Father's Day/Male as this fortnights challenge. I think it's self explanatory so I'll just take you straight to my card....

We've all used the fabtastic Beer Belly Man....you could use this image for so many occasions! I must say I LOVE paper piecing BBM's shirt but I think I've used the wrong pp this time. In my head it looked amazing lol but not so much IRL and I didn't have time to make another. I tried to draw attention away from the shirt with some fancy photography effects but I think that shirt has a mind of it's own! Anywho I went CAS which is something I'm really getting into. I really like how the image is always the focal point with this style. The pp for the shirt is MME's Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky. I've coloured the image with my Copics and added Glossy Accents to the beer and his shoes. The sentiment is computer generated and the brad is Lasting Impressions.

The shirt doesn't look so bad when you see the inside at the same time lol.

In case you didn't see my post on Sunday (it was supposed to go live Friday but I had technical issues - it was still in draft doh) we have a FABULICIOUS new release on the 24th at 9am and we hope you can join us.

A quick one from Coen's Corner. He is vacuum crazy! When he sees one he gets all excited. On Sunday when hubby and I were over at Nic and Ben's I was vacuuming upstairs. Coen was downstairs but as soon as he heard the vacuum he grabbed his dads hand and made him walk him up the stairs to see it lol. My vacuum broke down a few weeks ago and had to borrow Nic's until my new one arrived. I managed to get this pic of Coen...I think he was in his element lol...

With Rocky and Ruby in doggy daycare, today is dedicated to working on wedding invitations. I'm hoping to get one of the orders completed today...that would make me so happy lol.

Thanks for stopping by

Monochrome Challenge Midway Reminder

After a lot of procrastinating I finally managed to make my card for today. I don't know what's with me these days. I go round and round in circles and nothing ever gets finished (or started for that matter!). I've found the ONLY way I get things done is to write a list and tick things off as I go so that's what I'm going to do from now on :-D

I've used Killer Platforms again {love}. I've always admired those that take pictures of their cards with the cs or pp in the background, ribbon or buttons strategically placed or propped on a fancy easel or upside down hedgehog (you know what I'm talking about right?) but whenever I try it looks a mess. I thought I'd give it one more go and although my pics aren't going to produce gasps of admiration they'll do lol. It doesn't help that my pp pad was only 8 x 8. Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it lol.

Ta da! Just pretend they look amazing lol. So I've used Core'dinations cs and fab pp from First Edition Desert Blooms 8 x 8 pad. I coloured Killer Platforms with my Copics and added LOTS of glitter to the heels of the shoes. I know I did this in my last card but I just can't help myself lol. I added a
Padparadsha Swarovski crystal to the clasp of the bag as well as the center of the flowers.

I wish you could see the card IRL...you'd need to wear sunglasses to look at it the sparkle is so bright lol

I've used some of the pp for the top layer of the flowers

So that's my monochrome card for this week...hope it gives you a little bit of inspiration :-D

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Card Mania - Flowers
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes
Digi Make Over  - Anything Goes
The Pink Elephant Challenge - Use the colour Orange
Whoopsi Daisy Challenge - Bright Colours
Loves Rubberstamps - Anything Goes (I hope digi's are ok..couldn't see anything about using stamps only)

I've decided to cut down on the number of pictures I post of Coen in Tuesday's Coen's Corner...only because I don't want to bore you. The easiest way was to put four pics in one lol!!

These pics were taken at Cathkin Braes on Friday when we were walking Rocky and Ruby. I stopped to let Coen stretch his legs and he had great fun holding onto this seat and pushing his little car along it.

He's still not crawling but his walking is coming on leaps and bounds. He had his first proper fall on Sunday when Nic and I were at the mall. Coen was walking holding Nic's hand, he tripped and lost his grasp and landed face first on the floor! I was looking the other way and heard the thud...it was AWFUL. He was screaming and his poor little nose was bleeding. Thankfully he was fine and only has a small little bruise on his forehead...not the egg we were expecting.

That's it from me for today. Thanks for stopping by :-D
