Birthday - Midweek reminder #5!!!

5!!!!! Yup you've been spoiled with 5 midweek reminders this month lol.

This week I've used Pirate Billie is 8....this one is so much fun :-D

I printed Pirate Billie on white cardstock then again on Nitwits patterned paper cutting out the 8. After coloring PB I glued the pp 8 onto colored image then cut out the image including the middle of the 8.

I cut 3 strips of pp gluing the red dotty pp onto the green pp then sewed the two strips onto a piece of white cs. I printed the sentiment and stitched it directly onto the square then taped it to a card blank. From there using foam pads I adhered the cut out Pirate Billie to the bottom right corner.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Artistic Inspirations - Celebrations
Creative Creations - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Cuttin and Stampin Challenge - Clean and Simple

I took this picture of Coen on Sunday after his bath... I was holding him which was a bit tricky but I love how it turned out...he'll be 10 weeks tomorrow!

Hope you're having a good summer...our weather has changed and we're back to cloud and rain :-(

Birthday Midway Reminder #4

Good morning!!! Well I hope it's good...the forecast isn't great...thunder and lightening...but I'm all for it to clear the air and get the sunshine back
again :-D It has been Scotland's best summer in YEARS though I haven't sat out as I'm getting a bit fidgety in my old age lol. I did do my ironing on the patio on Saturday...stood with my back to the sun so it could catch up with my front ;-D Since Coen got back from his holiday I've been taking him on plenty of walks which tops up my tan.

I LOVE my card this week (ever get one of those??)...I did a bit of doodling and really got into it...so much so I made 2 more cards with it!

I imported, sized quite large and printed Tiara Billie 9 and colored her in with my Copics. I'm thinking she looks real purdy in grey :-D I paper pieced the number using Lasting Impressions pp and holding my breath (yes I do) I did the doodling with my Copic Multiliner.

I found some sparklicious DeNami glitter in my stash (I've had it for years)...it is super duper sparkly...even more so than GD...and added it to Billie's wings, heart and wand.

I printed the sentiment and stitched it to the front of the card...

...and added a square of white cs to the inside...doodled of course! You like??

Of course Tuesday's post wouldn't be the same with a recent picture of Coen...he's going to be 9 weeks tomorrow!!!! I took this on Sunday when the two of us were out on a two hour walk and stopped for a coffee...me not him lol.

All together now....awwwww lol

Birthday Reminder #3

I finally got a card made...make that 2 cards....yayyyy me!!! I thought once my mom left I'd be making cards left right and center but a small but perfectly formed little boy has been occupying all my time lol. Coen went on his holidays on Friday and I'm missing him terribly but on the plus side I am getting things done :-D He'll be back this Friday but in the meantime I'm going to try and get as many cards made as I can :-D

I made another card using Billie Bunting but this time for a girl. Let me know what you thunk...

I've made another aperture card but this time the image is on the front and not the inside. I cut a square piece of pink Bazzill card stock, cut a circle aperture then ran it through my eboss machine with Embossalicious Chevrons embossing folder. I then stitched around the circle and the outside edges.

I printed Billie Bunting digi image on white cs and colored it with my Copics adding Glossy Accents to the 7 and heart and dusting with glitter.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Scrapbook Stamp Society - Use Ribbon and Buttons
Whoopsi Daisy Challenge - Use your markers

We have had the most beautiful weather here in Scotland. Last week Nicole, Coen and I went to the park and had a picnic, strolled in the sunshine and treated ourselves to an 99! Afterwards we went to Sainsbury's to see if we could get Coen a few more outfits for his holiday. Nic and I picked out few things to try on ourselves and after a little fashion show I ended up buying Coen a couple of CUTE pairs of shorts and t-shirts :-D We got a few things for dinner then headed to the car. Nic asked for the car keys when I remembered they'd fallen out of my pocket in the changing room so I headed up to get them....they weren't there so I went to the cash desk to see if they had been handed in...nope. The girl called downstairs to Customer Service but nobody handed them in their either! Well we waited, and waited and WAITED (2 hours in total from when we arrived!) but they weren't handed in. The security guard looked back through the CCTV but couldn't see anyone of significance going into the changing rooms after us. I had to phone hubby to bring my spare set of keys and while we waited outside we made this video....

I can't tell you the number of times I have watched this lol. Anywho, to this day my car keys haven't been handed in. I don't know where they went or why anyone would want to keep them...it could have been the Mulberry black leather heart key ring I got for my birthday from one of my best friends a few years ago :-( I'm hoping that someone with as bad a memory as my own put them in their pocket to hand in after they finished their shopping and forgot. The silver lining is this video...we wouldn't have captured it if I hadn't have lost my keys :-D

That's it from me today. I hope you have a great day and the sun is still shining wherever you are :-D

Birthday Reminder

Howdy doody! How is your summer going so far?? Summer seemed to arrive in Scotland on Sunday with beautiful WARM weather, especially yesterday where it registered 27C in my cars outside thermometer!!! Now that's 2 days in a row...not a record but still good going. I've heard it's supposed to be like this for TWO weeks but I will believe it when I see it lol.

I never managed to make a card using one of the new images as it was a bit manic before my mom left last week then I seemed to hit a wall and couldn't do anything! I think the last 8 weeks had finally caught up with me and all I wanted to do was sleep. I'm slowly coming to and I did make a card yesterday but it was for a magazine feature which HAD to get done otherwise I would be in BIG trouble lol. I will show it to you when I get the green light though :-D

I do have a lot of cards I've made that I hadn't blogged and luckily this one fit the challenge....

I've used comfy Billie, paper piecing the chair and cushion

I added pink nailheads for the thingamajigs in the chair

I used my i top for the center of the flower

I jazzed this picture of Coen with my Frametastic App on my phone...think this has to be one of my favourite pictures of him. He was a VERY clever boy  Friday night....he slept from 11pm to 6:30am not to be repeated since lol

I finally got a picture of the 4 generations on the day before my mom left

Look who came home on Sunday....Uncle Steven!!

Poor Nic was absolutely shattered but insisted on coming to the airport with me to pick Steven up.

It's brilliant having my baby home and with the gorgeous weather it's just like being in Dubai...well almost lol.

I'll make another card from the new release and post it later in the week. After the card I made yesterday dare I say I might have my mojo back!!

More Through The Ages

Hey, hey, hey!!! Happy Tuesday Peeps...boy have I got a lot to tell you. We have got a new release, we have to say goodbye to a Ladybug and hello to a new one! Of course there might be a picture or two of Coen at the end ;-D

But first, a big thank you to everyone who entered our Ribbon & Flower challenge set out by our Lovely Diane...you guys were on fire!!! If you haven't already, pop over to the Challenge Blog to see if you're the winner of the Challenge, LCI Challenge winner or Top 3!!

I'm a bit late in announcing this but I'm sure you already know from visiting Laurie's blog but sadly she has stepped down from the DT and hung up her Ladybug wings :-( We are going to miss Laurie big time and wish her well and hope to welcome her back one day :-D

As one Ladybug retires another arrives!!! I am extremely happy to tell you that we have a shiny new Ladybug, Lyndsey Turner of Handmade with Love, Gems and Pretty Things. I first met Lyndsey about 3 years ago and have admired her work ever since...especially her tutorials. I've tried many of them and they are fab and easy to follow so make sure you check them out if you haven't already :-D

Ok..now for the reason you are here...the new release!!! Through the Ages has proved really popular and I felt there were some ages missing...namely in the younger age group...6 - 10. We've added 7 Billie's and one non Billie to the collection and I think they're pretty fabulicious if I do say so myself lol. The DT have been working overtime to bring you some fabtastic inspiration...make sure you pay them a visit and leave some Ladybug Love :-D

I've used Billie is 7...a uber cute image that can be used for either a boy or girl. I showed my card to a friend and although she said she liked it I could sense a bit of hesitation. When I asked why she said she thought perhaps it was a bit young for a 7 year old. I had a good thunk about what she said and have decided it's perfect. Kids are growing up too fast these days (I'm super conscience about that since Coen was born) and I think kids should be kids and enjoy their childhood and do things in their age groups...there's plenty of time for all the other stuff when they're older.

I'll get off my soapbox now and show you my card lol. You can tell me if you think it's too you or just right ;-D

I cut an aperature from the middle of the card blank using a Nestabilitie and cut out the image using the same shape so it all ties together. I colored Billie with my Copics and paper pieced the numbers and bunting. The fab pp is Nitwits at LOTV and I found buttons to match in my stash.

I attached the image using foam pads

Do you think it's too young??? I hope you like the additions to the TTA collection and what the DT have created for you :-D

Speaking of young...wanna see some pictures of Coen??? Too bad...I'm going to show you anyway lol.

He is 6 weeks old tomorrow and now weighs 10 lbs 8 oz...can you believe it??? I can't. Nicole and Ben had their first night out since Coen was born and we got to have him overnight!!! There was big excitement in our house I can tell you lol.

After his bath

7 am with Grandma & Grandpa

GG'ma Judy...Coen is almost as big as she is lol

Mom goes home tomorrow and it's going to be so sad saying goodbye at the airport. I can't say it's been easy living so far away from my family these past 29 years and I don't think I'll ever get used to it. I've really enjoyed spending this past month with my mom...we've had a great time and laughed until we've cried. Hopefully she'll come back next year and bring my dad with her so he can meet Coen too :-D
