TLT - Sue's Challenge - Distressing or Non Traditional Christmas Colours - SOTM

I really am going to have to work on a shorter title lol.
Wayhay...it's that time of the weeks AGAIN! We loved all the entries for last week's Oh Baby challenge and I'm glad I didn't have to do the choosing. All the winners are on the Challenge Blog...is it you???
Our lovely Sue picked this week's challenge...Distressing or Non Traditional Christmas Colours using November's SOTM Nikki & Buttercup Building a Snowman. I can do non tradional pretty good but distressing?? The only thing that gets distressed is me lol. I THINK it's supposed to be a bit dirty looking but mine is kinda clean...hope that's ok!

I had a dig through my pp and found this lone piece of  Basic Gray Wassail Snow Storm. Why I only bought one is a mystery and I usually buy pp in 5's. I teamed it up with some Bazzill and SU! cream cs with the flecks in it (I'm sure Susan will tell me what it's called!) I do have a distressing thingamabob but I couldn't find it so used a large emery board and it did the trick. Once I got all my layers in place I did a bit of stitching...have you noticed I'm stitching around the images these days? I think I'm addicted to it because I can't seem to stop. I even pulled an image off a card I was making yesterday when I realised I hadn't stitched around it! I also used my Martha Stewart border punch at the top of the cream mount.

I stamped N&BBAS with Momento ink and coloured her in with my Copics. I added a tad too much snow glitter to the trees and Glamour Dust to the scarves

I made my sentiment on the computer

I kinda love it lol. The rest of the Ladybugs have got some fabulicious inspiration for you so why not check them out? I promise you won't be disappointed :-D

I would love to enter my card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Anything Goes
Meljen's Designs - Christmas
Crimbo Crackers - Anything Goes
Pollycraft - Anything Goes
The Pink Elephant - Distressing
Totally Papercrafts - Glitter It

Make sure you pop back tomorrow because I have some exciting news to share!!

Catch ya later x

  1. Another fab card, Kerry. Love the non-traditional colours. And yes, I did notice you used stitching again. Tried to do some hand-stitching myself last weekend, but found that it takes a loooong time, lol.
